I only know the okpameri and some towns around umoga, ikiran oke, ikiran ile, ibillo, ugboshi ele/Afe, lampese, epe/epedo, ekpesa, Eko, uneme nekua, etc. They're close to one another, some less than 10 miles interval

Thank you friend, I’ve visited those areas before (at l ast 4-5 times). My niece is at Disneyland right now with her besties (I personally prefer Disney World in Florida, my parents took me annually as a kid). But one day I’ll post my pics from San Diego and Tijuana (we walked across the Mexican/USA border and visited Tijuana to have dinner, then to took an Uber back).

That's interesting to know. I've been to florida a couple of times but never been to their Disney Land. I've been to Miami Beach, the Miami convention center and Ft Lauderdale as well. It was the spirits Airways that actually took me to ft Lauderdale lol. You know the airline only operates in selected airports. For instance, each time I'm in DC, I'd have to take an uber to MD Baltimore to board my favourite spirits airways to LA, or TX. I'd also won their business class seat once.
There are nice wine bars with sea foods in Santa Barbara. Decent Clubs too. You'd love it

The Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, Onitsha Works Centre has attributed the new lease of life enjoyed by Anambra people in power supply to the intervention of Anambra State Governor Mr. Peter Obi.

This followed Obi’s request to the presidency for additional power transmission capacity.

The Assistant General Manager of PHCN IN Onitsha, Engr T.U.J. Emuchay who made this commendation in a letter to the Governor said the people of the state, especially Awka capital city residents were excited at the development following the commissioning of the 40MVA, 132/33KV Mobile Transformer Sub-Station at Agulu Awka.

Emuchay who described the feat as a testimony of the commitment of Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, to lift the state’s economy, said Governor Obi’s request which was in tandem with the TCN Grid Improvement Master Plan, had received FG’s approval for the construction of 2x60MVA, 132/33KV Sub-Station at Ogidi/Ogbunike after previously failing to have it installed at GCM Onitsha.

“These projects, which the Anambra State government is championing, especially the GCM power project are critical”, Emuchay stated.

He, however, regretted that the execution of the projects had been stalled by difficulty in the acquisition and allocation of land owing to a communal dispute at Ogbunike/Ogidi land.

According to Emuchay, the GCM project was packaged to radiate 5N0 33KV out-going feeders to power INTAFACT, Golden Oil and other companies within the Harbour Industrial area.

Yahaya bello can't tar half of the road dangote constructed on kogi Road as part of his social responsibility. The Obajana was a typical village before he came. Now, people are developing the place. The economic situation has also improved greatly. Bello should just eat his humble pie. He's not a successful businessman so he doesn't feel what dangote is feeling.

What happened to Yahaya Bello's transport company called Fairplus? If its easy to run business, why would fairplus collapse? Should dangote stop operating that plant today, hundreds of thousands of kogites would suffer it

On the disputed land acquisition and share capital, how much did kogi invest in the Obajana plant, that they're asking for a whopping 10% share? In Anambra, Obi invested the state's money in the brewery and in that case, they can claim some percentage as agreed upon. Same with the Edo Refinery in which Obaseki said the state had invested a sum.

Bello is such an ignorant and unfeeling being. If the agreement on land acquisition says renewal is for a stated period of time, Dangote would definitely comply. This is why its good to put a round peg in a round hole and not to do otherwise. Bello should be a local government chairman or a ward counsellor

If Obi could record such huge developments with robust IGR which nobody could ever imagine in such a state with virtually nothing to count on, Lagos which had all the potentials and already tilled ground for any leader would have become a golden city by now. Even if a dundee comes to govern lagos, because of the benefits it had over other states, he'd be rated high at the end of his tenure.

Hey Nairalanders, it’s Ms Travelin Diva and I just returned from San Francisco. I was in the Bay Area for a few days and below are the deets (slang for details) of my trip!

Lodged at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco which is across the street from the ferry building which made it VERY convenient if you’re going to be taking the ferry to any of the neighboring islands.

Day 1:
Took Ferry to Sausalito (Cost is $7.50 pp w/Clipper Card each way)
Enjoyed an amazing cup of vanilla lavender lattes at Firehouse
We toured the Sausalito Fire department, they even allowed the kids to take a ride around the block in the fire engine trucks, very cool!
Enjoyed lunch at Zalta where we had THE BEST sangrias, followed by delish tequila cocktails at “the unknown bar”
Took the ferry back to San Francisco right before sunset, and enjoyed dinner and cocktails at Hog Island Oysters Co, the best oysters hands down in the Bay Area!
Later that night, I enjoyed a late nightcap at Wilson & Wilson detective agency (it’s a speakeasy - secret bar) and the drinks were VERY good and vibe and atmosphere was so lit!

Nice ones , lady. Next time, please stop in LA. Drive around town and extend your trip to Torrance, San Diego and Santa Babra. Then if you can grab a good ride, drive to Las Vegas from there. It would be a trip you'd never forget. Each time I'm in LA, I visit Knot's Berry Park and DisneyLand. Hope you enjoyed your visit though

Like I mentioned in my post, you can't compare Anambra with lagos. Anambra is almost 30% of Lagos population. What of the industries in Lagos which pay taxes, corporate headquarters nko? What of land use charge , taxes on signage, etc. Here there are 3 airports, the largest sea port in Africa. Move just the sea port alone to Anambra and you think that state will remain the same in IGR? 90% of corporate headquarters are here.

That said, Lagos IGR during pa Jakande could be slim but he built the largest estate on Africa in less than 4 years without borrowing. Can you compare the exchange rate of the 80s with what we have now? People are always dodging this fact. 1m naira in the 80s is wprth over 100m naira today in value. So, if you hear billions of naira as lagos IGR, first ask, what's the exhange rate today, compared with what it was in the 80s when jakande did so much. They can't build such an estate today. They'd not be able to pay salary. He said he'd deliver the lagos lite rail in 8 years , which had taken tinubu and his boys over 2 decades to build. Unfortunately, his administration was taken over by Buhari's coup. He'd have delivered it.

Tinubu can't lay claim on the development of lagos. Government is a continuum. He came and did his bits. Were you here during marwa administration? That man worked meen! He constructed lots of roads on the mainland. I remember the AIT road in those days. I never knew he could remember such a remote place. I remember Marwa Gardens now MKO Gardens too. He opened up the CBD. Sadly, Tinubu said it was his blue print lol.

The so called lekki today was opened up by pa jakande. The jakande estate and bus stop is still there till date. He opened up epe Road too. But Tinubu said its his blue print. You got to lekki and widened the road, erected toll gates , how does that become your legacy ? Till death, jakande didn't own a single helicopter but Tinubu owns 3.

Lagos legacy can be credited to everyone who served in lagos, including tinubu

God is patient and a rewarder of those who are diligent. Its time for God to reward Obi for turning the Anambra IGR around. Not even Ngige , his former rival could challenge this. He only said Obi built on his legacies on channels tv some hours ago. Go and ask of the state's IGR before Obi came and what it was, 8 years later. If its same God you refereed to in your comment, our God can never be biased. He doesn't dwell on emotion. He's just, merciful and righteous.

To those comparing Anambra with lagos, i wish Anambra had the kinds of opportunities my state had. Obi would have done wonders in Lagos. I keep saying this, until a sensible government or party takes over in lagos, we'd never know how rich and prosperous lagos is. What we saw ambode do in less than 4 years was enough eye opener. The state still recorded budget surplus despite those massive projects. He was punished for this but he's opened our eyes already

A guy that isn't serious, gallivanting around the globe with the funds that are pumped into their campaign by gullible supporters, doesn't understand the simplest basic of economics which is demand and supply, graduated with a pass in philosophy, doesn't know what green energy stands for, performed woefully as the governor of Anambra State, etc. Mr Obi was the first governor in Nigeria that deported his fellow Nigerians from his state, calling them unprintable names. He even said it with his own mouth that he doesn't have any business with the North during his reign as governor.

Not that he is going to win 3 states, but for someone that will be representing the east, he ought to do better. Or maybe the east should present a better candidate next time.
