After several arguments, I presented my ID and they left me. An ordinary citizen wouldn't be spared. In sane environment, if you like be a police officer, once you commit any offence, a traffic offence for that matter,you'd not be spared. Commiting such an offence while in uniform is automatic expulsion or dismissal. I was stopped by a road safety official one day. One of them said my number plate was fading. Meanwhile, I saw one of their mirrors broken and a bad tyre on their van. I pointed to it and they were all laughing. But same people can book you for driving with bad or expired tyres or a car without a good side morrow. Imagine.

This isn't about lastma alone, its a general issue we must deal with. Injustice everywhere. Its just that lastma is worst. That's why people don't pity them when they run mad. I didn't break the law wilfully by driving past a red light. 2 vehicles passed untouched. They even hailed them as they passed. Sometimes, there'd be a red light and lastma would use their discretion to pass motorists...yes or no? I saw lastma ahead and police. They passed the 2 vehicles before me and I followed them. When it got to my turn, they stopped me ,.telling me stories...that's injustice.

The moment the police intercept them amd they display their ID, they passed them. Just try and follow them, your vehicle will end up in lastma office with a heavy fine. I had experienced this in Ikeja before. I saw 2 vehicles pass amd I followed them, I was in a hurry that morning. The police and lastma passed the 2 vehicles before me were allowed to go. When it got to my turn, they rushed into me amd took pictures. I asked but why didn't they do same to the 2 vehicles and one officer said...they're staff. Imagine.
