I kuku understand all you're saying. The crypto you mentioned isn't synonymous with flutterwaves please note and it was never mentioned in the newspost, that crypto was going to partner with them in anyway. The 3bn usd mentioned isn't for their Nigeria base alone. They render lots of services and one of it is online payments intermediaries for their clients , most of whom do not operate within the Nigerian space. Flutterwaves hq isn't in Nigeria too. Twitter, PayPal, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc do not operate from Nigeria as well.

I repeat, in the case of flutterwaves, all what the government or the CBN can control is spending limit on debit/credit cards on online transactions and this is not peculiar to flutterwaves . For instance, the cbn could say, every card holder must not spend beyond 300usd in a month on online-based transactions. Even if the government clamps down on flutterwaves activities in Nigeria which is unlikely except they violate our laws or dent govt image like twitter, it's only going to have an insignificant effect on global transactions done on flutterwaves platforms because the tech company's scope is global.

Despite twitter ban, millions of Nigerias still access their twitter accounts everyday, except the VPNs isn't in operation again. If you have a serious business to do on twitter and its your source of living, there's no stopping you.

If you had said flutterwaves can be sanctioned by the CBN, should they violate the set rules or law of the land, if and only if they operate like remita, Paystack, specta, etc , which flutterwaves has interest in habdling locally, I'd say yes! But on online transactions which is as global as Facebook and other techs, no! The CBN or Nigeria govt can only limit spend by customers on their cards for online transitions which isn't only peculiar to flutterwaves and if they shut their local office due to any reasons, while Nigerians would still bypass govt sanctions, the rest of the world, including our neighbouring Benin Republic will still patronise them.

When you pay for your hotel reservations abroad, does cbn stop you from making such payment on booking.com...and where did you hear of crypto as part of flutterwaves clients or partners in this news post? The only power the cbn has is limit your spend on your card. They can't stop you from paying with your card( either credit or debit ) online. The virtual visa and MS Cards to be introduced would even facilitate all these payments. Stop thinking upside down

Dem no fit. Its a global tech company. They don't need CBN to operate rather, they operate like CBN because clients pay through their platforms to third parties. Each time payment is made to face book for instance, flutterwave collects and remits to Facebook just the way we have remita in naija. CBN doesn't have power on this.

Good morning everyone, I want to say many thanks to you all. I really appreciate your prayers and kindness towards me. God bless you all. I went to the clinic yesterday SOP. I was told the doctor that will attend to me travelled out of the country for leave. I have been referred to OAUTHC Ile Ife for further evaluations. I wept like a baby yesterday night because I thought about the cost of transportation and stress, I have no choice than to accept the offer since the SOP doctor is not coming soon. I made research on OAUTHC on internet this morning, I saw they have success rate of heart treatments than UCH. They have performed opened surgeries than UCH. I have prayed to God to help and see me through. I don't know if any nairaland is there to help me with some informations since it's far from Ibadan.

The SOP doctor said if it were UCH I want to do the open-heart surgery, he would suggest I save up to #2m, but outside is more costly than UCH. The SOP doctor said I'll need to do CT scan which is more than #100000 now. I don't know where to get these outrageous amount from. I'm jobless and in debts since July, most family members ran away from me now because of my pale stature ( maybe they thought I'll die soon) I loss weight almost everyday!

My people, I'm on my knees begging, kindly come to my rescue when I start the clinic in OAUTHC again, I can't do it alone, all I have now is God and you people, I'm helpless. I'll let you know how it's going when I go to Ile Ife by Thursday morning to know when I can start the clinic.

I just replied to your post on the other thread this morning. In as much as I know in some cases that, surgery can correct any heart-related issues, I know someone who would heal you without collecting a farthing. His name is Jesus. People with worse situation that I know had received divine healing.

By the way, you mentioned OAUTHC in this post...the renowned cardio-thoracic surgeon who performs the open heart surgery in oauthc is my friend. His name is Dr Onakpoya. When next you visit, please ask after him. They have achieved huge success than any other health institutions in Nigeria and are probably the cheapest. Good luck to you.
