But after he had promised them that the next governor would be from among the aspirants and he would support whoever emerges the flag bearer, they allowed him.The aspirants who had obtained party ticket before obaseki joined were 3 and he returned their ticket money to them, from his company account, not Edo account. I don't see that as bribery. The 2 apc commisioners who later left to join ize-iyamu's camp knew about it. Facts are there for people to verify.

it would be very hard for apc here bro, especially in edo central, same region where buhari was sacked last year in spite of the bribe money given the people, they still satisfied their conscience. Edo central is a region with one voice. Obaseki has promised them that after he leaves office in 4 years' time, the next candidate would be from their side and that's why they accepted Obaseki in their fold and those contesting from that region had to allow obaseki by dropping their ambition. 4 years is closer than we think. This was what was misconstrued by the apc by saying obaseki bribed the candidates to step down. Where is the money when he had lot's to contend with in the state? Oshiomhole is the foolish man I've ever seen sorry to use that word. He should have allowed obaseki in the apc to remain relevant politically. This election would bury his political relevance in edo state and he's not the cause. He allowed himself to be used by tinubu and the same man would still dump him. We began to see his desperation since oyegun fell out with tinubu as apc chair for refusing to accept his cunning manners. Oshiomhole ensured pa oyegun was removed for him to come in, instead of defending him. What's the emd of him as national chairman? Disgrace. Same would happen this weekend.

Obaseki is the only governor who has ruled edo after pa oyegun who would touch every local govt in development and people aren't complaining. I was just laughing when people were spreading all manners of lies...obaseki threatened local govt chairmen and ward chairs who planned to defect to the apc, obaseki bought his slot in the pdp for billions of naira, obaseki this, obaseki that. But same obaseki didn't threaten those commissioners and law makers who remained in the apc instead of joining him, after collecting 40m naira each from tinubu.

Obaseki is someone who wouldn't spend anyhow and wouldn't allow you spend. You must account for every penny you collect and that's what governance and accountability are all about. Ask the market women to whom obaseki sold shops for less than 500k which was initially put up for sale at 1m naira by oshiomohle. Or farmers he gave subvention to, or the road transport workers and women he empowered. You'd never hear all these on nairaland filled with lagosians most of those who have never been to our state

It's good to be nice, not because of today but for the sake of tomorrow. As if obaseki knew he would later have issues in the apc, he started developmental projects where oshiomohle abandoned for 8 years in edo central which has the largest number of voters in the state and the pdp strongholds. Now is the reward and pay back period.

I've said it several times that the peace committee set up was a joke and pure deceit. Fulanis had an agenda to sack those minority Christians from their ancestral land and now declare a caliphate. Did he not meet requirements for admission? He did. Bro, I schooled in Uni Ilorin. I gained admission with my IJMB result no waec. I didn't present waec because IJMB was equivalent to A'Level results. Anyone here who had written the though exams in the past would relate. HSC which obaseki gained admission with ( which was also acceptable to UI back then) was equivalent to Cambridge of that time. The issue of waec didn't even hold water here. Even considering the waec 3 credit pasees they were screaming about, did they know the requirements at that time? My close relation was admitted into FUT Minna with 4 credit pasees in the 90s. I saw it in the then UME brochure. They don't do it anymore as their policies or requirements have changed over time. Obaseki is winning this election regardless of how far they go with their lies.

Anyone who's not cool with that can go to court. In his time in 70s, can you tell us the university requirements? My cousin entered fut minna with 4 credit passes as indicated in the UME brochure that time in 2008. Requirements keep changing every year. I entered Uni Ilorin with IJMB O'L and waec combination as their requirement then in the 90s. Maybe things have changed now and they have reviewed their entry requirements. I did my masters in UI. Obaseki entered with waec and HSC. UI confirmed he graduated from their school too. Obaseki that I know wouldn't have said anything on that. We all knew he wasn't forging result. Only outsiders would believe every lies the apc tell, not us.

my friend's dad operated one, refining only diesel and was selling the diesel to trucks and generating sets before the fed govt destroyed his refinery in bayelsa. He would load diesel in Jerry cans in hundreds and deliver to customers. It wasn't producing much daily due to size. Go and study the principles of refining. Dangote refineries would refine up to 4 different products including kerosene, petrol, diesel and grease in millions of liters daily .it is better structured That's tje difference

All the questions he's been asked have come without any tangible answer until his time is up. You ask him a question, he attacks Obaseki. I listened to Obaseki and I think he is more refined than POI. He goes straight to answer questions asked him without attacking anybody. I think Edo will regret if they vote POI. People said obaseki as incumbent was fidgeting the way he was analysing his points but they haven't seen him or heard him speak before and that's what gave me enough proof that those who felt so aren't from edo state. The way obaseki spoke tonight was the way he usually speaks. Nothing has changed. He's not the talking type even those who must have watched him speak during campaigns would have attested to this and I think those thinking otherwise were merely being emotional about the party they support on social media. 2) He also brought the power plant serving the ceramics company which now produces 60% of the local needs to avoid intermittent power supply. Same power plant supplies to the host and neighbouring communities free of charge. Do you think we would forever forget that? 3)Come to ikpeshi in akoko edo local govt where another set of Chinese investors is about unveiling the global standard marble factory , curtesy obaseki.

Only edo state has been able to support the agenda of the apc in establishing modular refineries in our region. Go to akwa ibom and other states in the Niger delta with similar slots. No single sand has been tilled there. Buhari would have come to edo but we know he would never want to join force with someone once called a thief, on whose neck efcc case is still hanging. We are not wasting our votes because we know whom we are voting. Only outsiders would differ but it doesn't matter. 4+4=8.
