What’s the situation of events in this Edo state election please?

all I can say is, election is over and counting has begun. In my ward, na obaseki dey lead. I'm open for an attack from the apc supporters on this. My wife said same in Umagbae her home town near Egba Town. Na obaseki dey lead too for her ward. So far, no violence observed contrary to the will of nairaland naysayers who know our state pass us. All we've been hearing is vote buying in some places which is inevitable and arrest of a guy caught in the act, though he's not from the pdp. I salute the peaceful conduct and non partisanship of our police. Thanks buhari for remaining neutral. If he contests the 3rd time and our Constitution permits, na buhari oo. This election is about personality and not party.

Democracy in Nigeria is a joke that must be reviewed by passing necessary legislations that will guarantee free and fair elections.

electronic means of voting is the panacea to all these nonsense. Those saying it's not safe are advocates of electoral malpractice and enemies of democracy in Nigeria. They say INEC's website would be hacked blablabla. Ask the same people how many times their money had gone missing in their accounts. Or how many times have they heard that INEC's database was hacked in the past? With electronic voting, anyone could snatch ballot boxes for all we care. It wouldbe an 3ffory in futility. Election violence would be a thing of the past and only credible candidates would be elected into offices.
