Who ever looked down on going to school to study CS because he or she has learnt a part of CS is just mistaken. Going to school to study CSC gives one the theoretical background of what CSC is all about. BTW I don’t blame them Computing scientist in Nigeria don’t do any serious computing at all. So we may not know the difference between a CSC graduate and just an ordinary coder. Except in theoretical aspect.

I think u are confusing a web development with coding, while a web developer is also a coder coding goes beyond web dev, there is embedded coding, desktop coding, etc

Computer science goes more than just coding. What of data structures, algorithms, discrete mathematics, pure mathematics. All which are very important for writing high performing, efficient applications.

all those aspects u just mentioned are actually related to coding( algorithms, data structures etc, help u to design better code) so C's is basically about coding

I've noticed a certain trend ; a lot of self taught developers seem to look down on a cs degree after learning just an aspect of computer science.

For example someone who decides to learn backend web development ( which is a subset of cs)by taking an udemy course thinks he has learnt more than a serious minded cs student . They go about saying stuff like :" I didn't study computer science but I can know more than a cs major" but they seem to forget that computer science goes beyond developing websites. To me it's a waste of time of time studying cs just because you want to be a web developer , correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's what boot camps are meant for .

But that doesn't change the fact that some CS majors know nothing , I've come across some CS majors that can't code but that doesn't make a cs degree worthless.
But do you think such people are right ?

cs as presently taught in most Nigerian public universities is garbage, it only give the graduates theoretical knowledge of the field, hence most self taught programmers who have hands on programming experience think less of them.
secondly, just like C's graduates self taught programmers are also not restricted to web development, many self taught programmers have become very proficient in programming languages like c, c plus plus, Java etc and can actually match any cs graduate skill for skill

A lot of people dont understand that the fight between Oshiomole and Obaseki, is just a Smoke Screen for Buhari.
Buhari actually encouraged that fight, using both Men (Southerners) as PAWNS, to allow the Hausa/Fulani HIHGJACK THE APC.!
And the reason for this is simple, a Powerful, cohessive APC will win the Presidential race in 2023 and it can only present a Southerner, as its Presidential candidate.
This is what Buhari is tryng to truncate!
Southerners need to see beyond the surface and stop fighting each other, or at least keep the fight "local" but stick together for common good, at the National level.
Southerners keep saying the Northerners are cheating you, true, they are drawing you back, enslaving you and stealing your resources, even when they are crainially inferior but you cant do the most simple thing: Articulate your INTEREST AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL.

This is sad and 2023 and beyond will be a very bad and dangerous time to be a Southerner/Middle Belter, if things continue this way and Southerners dont work together.

Southerners can't work together because the westerners are always eager to betray southern interest to please their hausa/ fulani collaborators. u cannot start calling for unity after u are given the short end of the stick the stick by the same northerners when your coalition with them goes against up.

3) thos who hate Oshiomole, simply for his closeness to Lagos Jagaban, for them, it is anger and hatred for anyone associated with Tinubu and these are majorly hate-infested Ipobs.
But all that is just 'Politics'.

Oshiomole has done exceedingly well for APC, they have gained grounds in the NASS, among Governors and have moved from being a fractured-association of small-small parties, to a Powerful National party. Oshiomole can lift his head high and walk tall, as short as he is.

The Evil behind all this attempt to humiliate Oshiomole, is that deaf, evil tribalistic and nepotistic Jibrin in Aso Rock who all these while, has been scheming and plotting on how he can ensure that a Northerner rules for another Eight years, from 2023, by destroying the APC and ensuring that it cannot present and win with a formidable Southerner, as Presidential Aspirant.
It wont end well for him, that sure pass, it never ends well for Evil people.

I've always told my APC-supporting friends on this forum that the hope of reciprocity (from Buhari/the north) on which they hinge their entire 2023 aspiration is foolhardy.

Besides their unbridled fervour to oust GEJ at all cost, apparently the ACN bloc had no other motivation going into the merger that birthed the APC.

Despite going to the negotiation table with a much more formidable structure (ACN governors, Senators and MPs) than Buhari's CPC that had zero elected office holders, Tinubu never deemed it necessary to broker a (written) formal deal for power rotation akin to the PDP's zoning arrangement.
He senselessly collapsed his entire ACN structure and declared an unwavering support for the quest to return power to the north, while hoping that his obeisance and complete subservience to Buhari will endear him to the north in his wild-goose-chase pursuit of the presidency.

...and to compound Tinubu's woes, he has completely burnt bridges with the SS/SE who now deem his name virtually an abomination when discussing 2023 presidency...no thanks his 2015 betrayal.
