lolawilliams: Lol. No OGs are here. They're waiting for their queen to descend on me.. Like 4diff people calling on mizzzbeee to come and attack me, and you call them OGs? OGs that cant fight for themselves
Before I call a player 'greatest', I look at his achievemnts.. You cant compare the gsw team now to the phily team then.. Gsw is a complete team ful of shooters. But in allen iverson's time. You know he had a weak team that was why was y they never managed to win the champ against lakers in 2001.. You think if he had players like klay, draymond with him in philly then, the wont win the champ. Again he's a shooter, played with big husky men, we hardly see slim centers like nerlin noels nd ant davis in his time, you'll see ppl like ben wallace, shaq, howard etc. he dunks on 7ft players with his small size but curry hardly dunk, steals ball.. He was a small as isiah thomas of celtics then. curry is a good player but ppl are also making look than he his
If he's not the greatest. Then he'll be in the top 3.. He'll always have a place in philly's heart. Jeez, this GSW team wasn't tipped by anyone to achieve what they have achieved thus far. Green for instance was a 2nd round draft pick at number 40 or so. He cried like a baby when he was drafted because he didn't think he was that good. Curry's rise is well documented. He was the overlooked and undermined son of Dell Curry. Even his dad thought his son would play in Europe but not in the NBA. I don't even want to start with Klay. Washington uni turned him down for Demarcus fooking Derozan. This was not a roster that people had high expectations of. Nobody has said A.I wasn't good. But he was no shorter than Isaiah Thomas of the Bad Boy Pistons who held sway in the NBA and played amongst tougher and stronger 7 footers yet he pulled 2 rings. Isaiah Thomas, like Curry, are PGs that play the role the way it ought to be played. They distributed the ball, led their teams, made others better and scored when necessary. A.I was the antithesis. He jacked up his stats by shooting and shooting and shooting. If A.I played for GSW. He would win scoring titles but the team will suck balls. Green, Klay will average 10ppgs and GSW will barely make it past the first round of the playoffs. A.I was in a bad eastern conference. Just the way Lebron is in one now. That's why his greatness will never be defined by getting past the ECFs but by winning rings. No matter how any spin master wants to look at it, no Philly team from a dead EC was going to beat the 01 Lakers of Shaq and Kobe. |

lolawilliams: http://www.thetoptens.com/basketball-players/allen-iverson-5712.asp I wonder why the OGs here are letting you run amuk. A.I was a brilliant point guard but you are making him more than what he was. For the most part he was a volume shooter and extremely very selfish. If Curry took as many shots as A.I did, Curry will average 40PPG. On many occasions if you observed the conversion rate of A.Is shooting you'd see he didn't even have great percentages. He simply hugged the ball and took a ton of shots. Stats like 42 points from 44shots isn't greatness especially when the % is just 35-40. Please let's not make A.I more than what he was. Same as Lebron. |

SmooshCHN: Lol.. Today is a tough one for us all. I still think Iguodala is sleeping he needs to wake up. No lie OKC played well. This was one of those games were everyone is lazy and didn't play the game one at a time. Kerr panicked as well. We were too hurried and eager with each Playland possession. Curry should learn to lead the offense sometimes and make it easy for Green. He makes unnecessary passes. Like just handle the play one on one. Iguodala and Barnes scare me. This is so true, even Bayless and Reggie Miller said this during the game. Dude, you shoot well mid-range, perimeter and have good lay-ups. Get to the rim and attack more. Curry turned the ball over 6 times in the 3rd Quarter alone and shot no FT all game. |

Couple of rushed 3s by Klay in the Third quarter that didn't splash and unforced turn overs from the whole team. Refs made significant mistakes again especially the foul on Iggy that should have been 2FTs and would have levelled the game.
The loss entered me deeply but every great team utilises moments like this to make a statement. I still believe #DubNation. |

Politics › Re: The Notable Difference Between Jonathan And Buhari's Subsidy Removal by Eruditor: 11:20am On May 13, 2016 |
plaetton: Dear Sir, It's either you have ZERO idea what fuel SUBSIDY is, or, you skipped elementary 6 arithmetic, or, you are a very disingenuous SAI BABA-ist.
Let me first of all say that I support SUBSIDY removal. I supported it during the Abacha years, I supported it during the Jonathan years, and I still support it, but for Genuine economic reasons, not for silly, upsidedown kindergarten logic that you have insulted us with here.
Fuel SUBSIDY, under any disguise, is simply equivalent to gathering several trillion Naira every year, and then setting it on fire to burn, burn and burn. No better description.
Like I said , elementary 6 math skills are that is required to understand the logic of fuel SUBSIDY, something that Buhari claimed not to understand, and obviously didn't understand till now.
Fuel SUBSIDY is simply the difference, the negative difference between cost price( international cost price) of petroleum products, and , the government stipulated pump price that drivers pay at the fuel stations.
For example, if the cost and landing( bridging) cost of petrol is N140/l,but the government stipulated pump price is fixed at N86/l, it then means that whoever is making fuel available is losing the sum of N140(cost)- N86( selling price) = N56/l
Obviously, no one would do a business where they are losing a whopping N56 per litre.
So, the government, as part of social contract with the people, steps in to pay the difference of N56 in order to ensure that fuel is available at all times.
Are you following?
Now, since the price of petroleum products depends primarily on the international price of crude oil as well as our currency exchange rate, simple elementary school arithmetic should tell us that the SUBSIDY the government pays pee litre grows and widens as either the price of crude oil rises, or, the value of our currency falls.
Now listen carefully. When the price of crude rises, as it did during the GEJ era, the SUBSIDY, the difference between cost price and pump price grew to an astronomical level, to the point where the government of the day had no choice than to break its social contract with the people by adjusting the pump price upwards to NARROW the very wide SUBSIDY gap. Are you following? It is usually a hard and politically charged decision, but this was common sense Economics. The political pressure sooo great that government eventually settled for just half of what it sought.
And the money continued to burn, burn and burn.
But then, A curious thing started happening last year. The price of crude began to crash, crash and crash. By simple elementary school arithmetic, it also meant that the fuel SUBSIDY gap began to NARROW, narrow and narrow , until it not only became ZERO, but actually went positive.
That's right. I'm fact, as of last month or so, it was widely and repeatedly reported in the Nigerian media, and simple arithmetic concurs, that the federal government was making a whopping Profit of N10 or so per litre of petrol sold in Nigeria.
You get my drift sir? Higher crude price = more SUBSIDY payments Lower crude price = less or ZERO SUBSIDY payments.
Therefore your own arithmetic is null and void , simply because it failed to comply with the simple, immutable laws of elementary arithmetic.
Now, to the issue of the moment.
In as much as I support the removal of fuel SUBSIDY, the recent upward revision of the pump price of petrol to N145 is NOT, and I repeat, is NOT a SUBSIDY removal.
There was NOOooo SUBSIDY to be removed as of yesterday.
What the government did, which I still support, is that it raised the pump price of petrol for two main reasons:
1. To generate much much and desperately needed revenue to fund it's budget. Bingo!!! Does anyone still remember that the government has hopping from place to place desperately looking for funds to finance it's budget ?
2. To liberalise the fuel supply system by making it attractive to private sector dealers and importers.
Killing these Two birds with one stone would ensure the steady and competive supply of petrol , as well providing badly needed additional funds for the government.
The only problem I have is the FRAUD of calling it fuel SUBSIDY removal, which it is definitely NOT. Apart from the needless invocation of didacticism I actually agree with you and I have been trying to educate people around that this is not a removal of subsidy per se. 1. FG cannot meet all FX requirements for importation of PMS so they have asked the marketers to source it for themselves. If the prevalent blackmarket rate of USD is 320N to 1$ then it means that at the official market rate of 199N to 1$ and when crude was 87N per litre, the conversion ratio means at blackmarket dollar rate crude should be sold at 141N. Hence the price cap of 145N. 2. The reason for doing this however is not to generate funds as you claimed. But to make the product ubiquitous and to forestall the motivation to smuggle the product across borders. |

989900: For the title of your article, you've done justice. And it seems GEJ sympathizers have forgotten that subsidy payments going from N300b to over N2 trillion was why sane people got mad, and at the end of the day, subsidy was actually partially removed.
Subsidies are actually a good gesture, governments naturally subsidize the populace in one form or the other, but for the bastardization of the good gesture, we all basically agree subsidy must go, but at the right time: when we no longer depend on imported fuel, or have greatly reduced our dependence on imported fuel.
That said, on the overall, after almost a year in power, I'm not going to make excuses for Buhari's government's inability to tackle pipeline and oil installations vandalism, and cross-border smuggling, nor am I going to make excuses for its inability to have the old refineries working or modular refineries chipping in their bits. The APC won the election in March 2015, enough time for preparations.
As it is now, what we have is a cosmetic solution to a fundamental problem: if we do not get refineries (old and new) doing their thing, should oil prices sell for around $70/barrel, or the Naira continues to free fall, then pump prices will go north, or reversal to paying subsidies.
Our only 'get-away' is to find a way to make the Naira stronger, and drastically eliminate importation of refined fuel. The emboldened is my grouse with this APC govt. Yes we know, there has been some sabotage. Yes we know, marketers have smuggled products and hoarded them. But what have you done about it? It is heart-wrenching to accept that PMB is so bewildered by the activities of these miscreants that he has done nothing of note concerning them. This is actually part of why I voted for him. I don't doubt his sincerity of purpose. But I need to see results. |

Skywalker5: That's the same thing people thought when Thunder played Spurs Over the course of the regular season they shared home court with each team taking 2 wins a piece. So it made sense analytically to say the team with home court advantage would take the series in the playoffs. That's why people leaned towards SAS. It is unfortunate that even though OKC deserves their place in the WCFs, they did it not without the help of some bad refereeing decisions especially in game 2 and 5 (for Kawhi's foul on Westbrook that wasn't called) and both games happened to be in Texas. Anyways, I am amped to see what the WCFs has to show. I hoped GSW would have gotten more time to rest, but the 3 or is it 4 days is not bad. It is going to be an interesting matchup because OKC are very athletic and explosive with alot of heroball playing. It is very hard to look beyond GSW for 3 major reasons: 1. I doubt they would lose back to back games. They just find a way to win regardless. 2. They have home court advantage. And their fast-paced gamed surely favors GSW. 3. They have the MVP. There will be some close games in-between that will be highscoring as well. But if per adventure, OKC pulls through, I have no doubt that Lebron will pick a 3rd ring. |

Churkie: Hello house,
Please I need your opinion(s) on my case.
I did my first study permit application ( NAIT, Petroleum Engineering, Diploma) in March and was refused same month due to Purpose of visit and family ties. I ordered for the gcms notes on the 11th of April and got a feedback today ( see attached pic).
Here's a quick glance at my profile. I studied polymer engineering in my UG and I've been working as a regional project manager in an indigenous telecoms firm since 2012.
After my SP got refused, I immediately applied for a PGC program on Project mgt at Humber which I've been offered admission into. Can I use this course of study to tackle the purpose of visit denial reason?
Also, in my first application, I did not include letter of introduction/leave approval letter from my employer stating that I'll resume duty upon successful completion of my program. I plan to include this in my next application. Is this enough to tackle the social and economic ties stated in gcms notes.
Finally, I'm thinking of reapplying month end. Is it too early to refire? My program is for Fall 2016 If you truly have been working as regional project manager, then your 2nd course is apposite for your application. But be careful as there is a burden of proof on you to explain certain things in a comprehensive SOP (along with the tidbits Haqs proffered). Things like 1. Have you worked long enough in said company to be entitled to a study leave? 2. What will said company gain from your PGC that they weren't already gaining (since you were already managing projects in a region for 4 years now) ? 3. How will said company cope in your absence? I think answers to these posers may help cover the aspects of home ties and may clear any doubts in the VOs mind that you are a genuine candidate. |

82% of teams that take a 3-2 lead go on to win the series. The odds are now fully stacked against SAS and it will take something top draw for them to win game 6 at Oklahoma and wrap it up in Texas 2 days after. It doesn't appear that will happen, but stranger things have happened so we wait...
I guess the new proposition is how will the OKC match up against GSW in a 7-game series? Right now it could go either ways, but my deepest lying fear is that if OKC upsets GSW and gets to the finals, they would not be able to beat Lebron and the Cavs. It sure does appear that way in the Playoffs so far. |

To think that GEJ could arm twist PDP chieftains to get 2nd term yet couldn't do same to get PIB passed for his 5 year rule is almost unforgivable. The IOC's WILL NOT COMMIT MORE RESOURCES WITHOUT THE PIB and the buhari admin is already treating it with the urgency it deserves.
Where will the money for new investments come from if not the IOC's? How will they invest without the policy document called PIB?
But have you ever being honest enough to acknowledge that this govt is at least making some progress with respect to the same PIB? You won't find a more dishonest person in the whole of NL, I tell you. This is a guy that subtly supports militancy and never saw anything wrong with GEJs govt. Did you notice how as soon as you pointed him out to the fact that GEJs govt caused this rot and even begun the exploration for oil in the NE, he skillfully avoided that line of thought and harped on the fact that PMB should be clamoring for a cessation of that agenda since we are in tough economic times? 989900: Talk is cheap Prof.
You were adviser to Shagari and you lead him off the cliff. Your bank went bankrupt.
It is easier to throw wild cards from the outside when you are not in the driving seat.
We are going thru pains, agreed.
Buhari should listen more, agreed.
Buhari is tackling fundamental causes; not symptoms.
That doesn't make all his decisions perfect, but I have never doubted his sincerity -- I can't say the same for the prof and others like him (everyone is largely working their angle or being plainly sentimental).
When you are not in the driving seat, it is easier to only work with simplistic solutions without considering the fallout and other ramifications.
We shouldn't be importing refined petroleum products in the first place -- how we go about being independent in that regard are things people of the prof's caliber should be proffering.
Implementing the TSA,IPPIS,and BVN with over 3 trillion Naira re-consolidated, and over 40,000 ghost workers collecting billions in salaries exposed, not to mention some head of MDAs drawing over 60 million naira per month exposed, are all those archaic?
Implementing stamp duty charges that has brought almost 1 trillion Naira within just 4 months into the nation's purse, and could bring as much as N4 trillion naira in a year or more, which would be roughly the same amount we get from oil, is that archaic?
Going from roughly 10% to 30% investment in infrastructure is that archaic?
Reducing government re-current expenditure is that archaic?
Dr. Kachikwu and the president have done excellent work generally with the NNPC in the past 9 months, are all those archaic?
What has the non-archaic administrators been doing since 1999, that we have to find ourselves in this sh!thole of importing fuel in the first place?
What happens to pump prices if in 6 months or so from here, oil goes beyond $70 or $80/ barrel? Have you considered the consequences?
I can understand if the Prof. feels he is not being adequately compensated for his work for the party or feels disrespected in a way or so, but that should not translate to throwing his sense of balance and perspective away, or trying to subliminally pitch the VP against the president.
This is a brilliant post. I laughed hard when I saw him imply that competition will drive down the price of PMS and whet the country. While the latter is plausible, the former is cringe-worthy and unexpected from the lips of such an erudite professor. It seems most people are yet to understand the avarice and blood-sucking greed of these PMS marketers and how strong their unions are. And the Prof like a few others seem to downplay the cost implications on Nigerians should the price of crude oil surge higher. How that will translate to higher PMS prices (especially if that market is totally deregulated) and what it will mean to our inflation indices. Like you said, it is easy for anyone to stand outside to pontificate and toss-up academic jargons. When on the hot seat, it is another kettle of fish. |

As for GSW, I think it is clear as day that they were going to lose that game without Curry, seeing that the Refs wanted to give that game to Portland by all means.
Shaun Livingston needs to wake up. I had been noticing something off about his performances recently.
I feel for PTB though, as it is clear beating Clippers (aided by the Injuries) wasn't that much of a fluke. They are a decent young team. The Cavs (great as they are playing) would not have swept them. |

Let's see what GSW vs Blazers game 4 has to bring. Whether they can lose back to back games for the first time all season ( I doubt it). I expect OKC to take game 4 against Spurs because of home court and how close the previous game was. Still think Spurs will take it in 7.
A bit worried about Blazers but I think GSW are motivated enough going by their 2nd Qtr collapse last game. Oh well... |

Nihilist: Eruditor,
The players to suit this direct style really only require only three basic amount of tekkers. The main requirement is bundles of athlectism.
The only player with tekkers in that Leicester side is Mahrez, all those other players are quite limited in terms of technique.
And here's the thing, several times the commentators would point out how Mahrez was causing the team to play a bit lopsidedly due to Mahrez's need to be on the ball, everyone else played their position.
I think that the less technically gifted players, who are self aware of their limitations may be more likely to buy into the concept of the collective effort.
All you need is physicality, and if done just right, you can succeed...Atletico and Leicester are proof. The emboldened is very true and I think it works better with teams which people have less expectations of. I believe this is why it worked for Mou in Porto, first stint in CFC and Inter and why it has worked for Simeone in ATM. In RM, he had a harder time trying to convince all those egos to play a certain less-adventurous, dominant or expressive style. I believe it is the same challenge he had with CFC during his second stint especially after CFC lost 3-5 to Tottenham. Jackson Martinez and Mandzukic didn't foot the bill at ATM also for the same purpose and I am now left wondering if the egos of certain Leicester players this following season is not part of the reason that Ranieri feels they may not be champions again. |

Raumdeuter A40 sinizia Dmcdad dahdemola gbr1 eruditor oya food don done.... It's a brilliant article but I slightly disagree with the writer. In as much the "techers" are needed for the efficient possession-style football, the same argument can be made for the also somewhat efficient compact, defensive counter-attacking style football and somehow the writer either chose to expunge it or not take it into cognizance in putting forth his write-up. He made a great point by stating that Arsene Wenger's folly has always been in trying to emulate a style that he didn't have neither acumen nor the personnel for, but on the flip side, even if Monsieur decided to adopt ATMs style of playing, his acumen and the players at his disposal will not able to match ATMs success. I also think the writer seems to downplay the fact that even though many teams began to admire Barca's style of play and to some degree try to mirror it, there are many other teams which having accepted the fate that they do not have the talent to replicate the style, began to adopt the mourinho-esque, Simeone-esque technique of beating such teams. And the results are pretty much the same - if you don't have the tactical discipline, speed, and requisite skills to neutralize the advances of those possession teams, you lost the game. Leicester's success, even if a testament to the fact that the less possession dependent teams could be more effective and thus win it all and win big, it still points to the fact that there are some elements of serendipity to it and this can be proven from the fact that teams playing such styles either in (Spain, England or Italy) have only won the league or big competitions very few times in the last 2 decades. I agree with Ramdeuter in his clamour for balance. Having the right balance of playing styles with maybe possession style being dominant could transmute an average team into a great one. |

Simeone is playing the style that can give him wins. You want him to play Total Football with that Atleti side? Let's face reality Bros
I will worry about Wins before playing style. People are talking about Barca because they are winning. Winning is the primary element that makes your style worth talking about
Any style that would help my team to the Final is what I'd rather watch
If Atleti go on to win in Milan who would remember they drew with PSV?
Pep's era was a wasted window. I am confident Ancelotti would not lose to 3 Spanish teams in a row. Let's see how Pep fares at City where in Europe he would have to punch above his weight But Bayern didn't hire Pep for any style to win but HIS style. If he doesn't win the UCL, it is a glitch but not too much of a big deal. Ancelloti and now Zidane have gotten to 2 finals in 3 seasons with RM. I doubt people will talk about either of those teams even if they win the UCL. Anyways, I like Carlo and I wish him well. At City, Pep will be in Europe as an underdog, so maybe he will switch up his style. It is still a learning curve. Let's watch what the following season has to teach. |

Give Pep that Atleti team and give Simeone this Bayern team. Atleti would have been crushed It is easier to play as an underdog. When you lose nobody cares. When you win, you are celebrated. How many defensive 1-0 games have ATM needed to play this season? How many will you as a Bayern fan tolerate? I know you may rather watch Bayern play defensively home and away to ATM and win on penalties than watch ATM dominate for 180mins, make close to 40 attempts home and away, and have 71% of the ball and lose the game. I hope you remember ATM drew 0-0 home and away to PSV enroute to the final. Anyways, we have Carlo to watch next season. Let us see if coaching Bayern is so easy as they say. |

diggz: It is so annoying when you choose to be a mind reader instead of just stating you point braaah.....! It is really disgusting I must say,jeez....!
Secondly, stop this useless dragging of names into this discuss abeg! What is this ? A PDP vs APC debate or what? The discuss here is about your darling genius called Pep Fruadiola so,stick to the discuss man!.
I am of the opinion you should go check CFCs transfer dealings for the last two seasons lemme see if you will come back spreading same lies....!
Back to the discuss at hand.
I will like to state clearly here,I do not have anything against pep. You can go back a page or two to see my post after yesterdays game however, I do have issues with the myth surrounding him.
I and a barca fan had a bet the order day on this same thread. We agreed to wait till he finishes is tenure at Mancity before we can draw our conclusions. I proposed those terms and will still want to wait till he his through with is tenure at city.
So my thoughts are this; Pep failed at Bayern but,I am willing to wait till after city before I give my judgement on him as a coach. Simples..! You don't need to employ this tone with me. I felt it was a clear-hearted discourse until you veered off into calling me a mind-reader and what not. You are hiding behind words to express your dislike for Pep and pretending it is not because Mou Pales in comparison. That's a truth I need you to accept before we can proceed. It is not mind-reading to say even with a treble at Bayern you won't give him his credit because you didn't give him credit for his 14 trophies in 4 years at Barca. In both scenarios you claimed both squads were already good. So spare me the theatrics. You can't act like you have an open mind and then say "Fraudiola". Hope you can see it. You have already come to a conclusion. Period. As for CFC, I can't have a dumb argument with you about your club's financial power. And please stop raising moot points about how much was bought and sold to determine the financial power of a club. It is pseudo-scholarly to do so. If CFC needed 200M to buy Neymar, the money will be available. We can't say the same for Leicester for example. Yes to you, Pep failed at Bayern. You are entitled to that opinion as well as the opinion that Pigs fly. |

lekkie073: the moment someone sets a high standard, he would continually be judged with such. imagine guardiola winning two ucl in 3 yrs with barca.....any big team dat request for his services will believe dat he can at least give them one ucl trophy within a period of 3yrs given his past exploits in d competition. the moment he cant live up to that, then he is just like others, not better. bayern munich just won the ucl before he took over. it is believed dat with such a good team coupled with his own managerial prowess he should be able to win d ucl again within 3 yrs but alas! he couldnt even get to one final
now dat he is going to mancity....if within his time in mancity he fails to take them to at least one ucl final, then he has failed again because before he took over mancity reached a semi final and it wont just do for him to manage the same mancity and continously get sent out before the final. Let him be judged by others, but let it be fair. How does a manager improve on a treble winning season? At least with LVG there was a motivation to win it in 2010-11. Same as Jupp in 2013-14. But with Pep 2014-15, how would he have improved? So any manager that got to 3 consecutive semis with Leeds in the UCL would have been normal because 1 had done so before that manager? So if City wins the UCL this year how would Pep improve on them? To win it back to back to back? Come on! People say any manager can win anything with Bayern but Klinsmann failed. Bayern have been so dominant in Germany for years yet this is the first time they would win 4 Bundesliga titles in a row. The point I am trying to make is it is not as easy as people are trying to make it look. Pep did well above average because Bayern competed each year he was there. When you get to the semis, you'd need serendipity. Even on examining ATM vs Barca and ATM vs Bayern, it is clear which team was better this year. I don't know how true, but I read that Simeone said this Bayern squad was the most difficult to play in all his career as a manager. |

diggz: Omo mehn.....! Are u seriously trying to create an outlet for pep should he fail at city?
Please, City have the best squad in the league and that's a fact.
Pep will be going to a club with infinite amount of money to spend should he even decide to buy the genius he created,he won't have problem with cash.
So all those 13points blah blah blah shyyyyte ain't going to work braaaah.! Plus posterity will remember him going to a club where he will get a soft landing. There is no outlet to be created. If Pep doesn't win 2 UCLs in 3 seasons at Manchester city he will be judged a failure. City have one of the best squads. I know you want to raise moot points but Chelsea's squad was as good when the season started. But you lot quickly shifted gear when Mou was on his "relegate-Chelsea-by-all-means" campaign. Chelsea, United are as infinite in spending as City. This is a fact as well. At the end of the day, you are confirming all I already said: Did Pep underachieve in Europe? Yes. At least he should have made one final, particularly this one. But even if he made 1 final would you give him credit? No. You will say there is nothing special because Jupp and LVG did it. After all, you (using it loosely)said the same about Rijkaard's Barca and Pep's. In conclusion, Pep will never be good enough for you because you are predisposed to dislike him- which is fair. But is his record better than Beloved Mou? Your guess is as good as mine. |

Ollah 1,
Your level of tolerance is commendable. I have a lot to learn from you. I digress...
In the eyes of those who like Chelsea, adore Mou and those in Manchester that he turned down, he is a failure.
They have 1 reason to say so, and they will clutch onto it for dear life. There's no point trying to convince them otherwise, as a Lion was created to eat flesh. In otherwords, it is in their nature.
Pep will continue to be treated on the side because history needs naysayers to strike a balance. Even if Pep had won a treble with Bayern (I mean the UCL inclusive because he won 4 trophies his first season) they would have said he wasn't special because Jupp had already done it. If he had won it by beating everyone else 5goals per game, it would've been the same conclusion. So don't expect them to change their opinions now that he was KOed in his 4th consecutive Semis (adding his last season with Barca). For some of them it is light banter, and for others, sheer hatred because when he is juxtaposed with their beloved, he defecates on him- a man who was fully on his way to relegating previous champs.
As an admirer of him, I wished he delivered the UCL to Bayern because a great majority of the fans and executives alike believed in him and wanted him to stay. It will probably haunt him for years, but then again it might be the motivation he needs to succeed at City.
At the end of the day, he is taking over a City side that are 13pts behind the champs, 4th on the log, lacking in confidence, Carling cup champs as well as in the semis of the UCL. So that posterity will judge those who will later claim that anything he achieves there could have been achieved by anybody else.
What am I even saying? They will still conclude that. |

Mitch (If you are who I think you are), please listen to MsNas and forget the chimerical euphoria that you think will be derived from any Masters degree.
You seem to be out of touch with how Master's programmes work these days. With your class of degree, you should get the admission to Canada, absolutely tuition free unless your are considering an MEng and not an MSc. And if you are considering the former, it will be an abominable waste of resources.
Enough said. |

kingsilly: Honestly were you expecting hornet to win that series against the Heat, yeah hear fumbled in game 5, but it was just a slip, I original stand with Miami winning the series in 5, but they shoot themselves in the foot, a great game today for the heat, 'twas a blowout thanks to dragic and whiteside I expected a Heats sweep or at most 4-2. After Hornets led 3-2 into game 6, I thought it was done. I guess they figured how to quench the fire of Lin off the bench. They didn't let him make easy lay-ups at all. |

A40: The game was a blowout. Don't let the Final score confuse you.
They will need him vs the Spurs. Not these guys. Remember Iggy and Livingston didn't even play well You are right. I was just angry that the bench kept letting Blazers pad their scores. At 24points I wanted it to remain that way. That 137-105 of February still gives me nightmares. I want Blazers to understand who they're playing. Exactly at Livingston! He wasn't his characteristic post-up self. And saw him turnover atleast twice. |
