Nonsense response from the guy. He was deflecting from the question. I work in one of the JV companies and I can categorically tell you that is not how it works. NNPC owns 60% of the JV so they dictate what is included in the annual JV budget. Don't let them deceive you by hiding under the JV agreement. How many of the JV partners use luxury jets? the answer is none. The NNPC is simply forcing the JV partners to contribute 40% to the excesses of the NNPC boss.

cc fulanimafia .....for your learning too
Dumb lies.

1. NNPC has 60% stake not that they fund it by 60%. The location where the oil is to be found is Nigeria's remember? It makes up for part of the 60%.

2. Dumb liar. All the JV partners use private jets. ALL of them.

Dumb question. The JV utilises the jets by hiring it. What does maintenance have to do with it?

where are those Zombies that colluded with APC to formerly and incipiently lambasted Diezani for utilizing private jets with “redundant” cost, thus not being frugal with expending public funds?

Why are they mute and failing to lambaste the APC's govt over the defalcation of public funds by even transcending beyond that of GEJ's administration via having a perennial contract with copious amount of funds to enable him bask in the prerogative of maintaining an unconstrained access to luxurious private Jets? .

I want to really get you. Obviously you don't like the warriors and don't want to see them repeat. The odds of winning back to back is 1/5 lemme say. So who on your part is winning?
I was going to ask the exact/same thing.

It sounds like the Warriors will lose because I want them to lose. I do not care if they have won the most games, outscored the most opponents, play the best brand of basketball. As long as I don't like them they will not win.

Emotional analysis.

The truth is Pop wants the record but would never say it in the open because he plays every game like it's a championship. Same with Warriors. They wants it but I don't think we can get that 4-0 win either. Both of us won't get the record cos we'll get an away win and would probably screw it up as you said earlier cheesy
Every player wants to make history. Pop cares about that record and much as Green and Curry want the record let's not lie except if Pops rests his guys against Warriors.
LOL.

He cares about the record. Part of his craft is to act like he doesn't care so there is no pressure on him or his team- after all, you can't lose something you never tried to have.

Pop won't rest players. He won't do it today neither will he do it in the game at Texas. He has to test-run tactics he wants to employ during the playoffs proper i.e WCFs, so he will need such games to assess his team.

If at all, he pretends today because an L at Waracle is almost imminent, he will try as much to protect his 41-0 in the 2nd game. Nobody postpones a record that is in front of them, for another one down the line that nobody guarantees you.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:25pm On Apr 07, 2016
So if the GSW were chasing a playoff spot they would have rested their players in case of the same playoff they may not make? I still don't understand the logic of resting players the way it is being rehashed everywhere.

So there have been 2 bad defensive displays in the last 3 games. It boils down to complacency and playing with the record in mind and I agree. Once you have the complex you can 'out-offense' anyone you stop caring about the points they are scoring against you and keep trudging on, trying to just outscore them. I believe this explains the Boston and Wolves games. But in a bid to create enough drama for the playoffs and for naysayers to be excited, people start over-analyzing the losses with doom and gloom chants everywhere.

Wait, the Spurs barely beat the Jazz 88-86, squander 2 10+ leads and need a clutch 2pt shot to win and they are praised for it, but GSW beats the same spectacularly defensive Jazz by 7, putting 103 past them but people say they're fatigued and burning out? I don't understand.

So the only way GSW look money for the finals is if they blow everyone out (regardless of if they win), but the Spurs are sure to win it as long as they keep out defending everyone?

Smells like double standards to me.

PapaBrowne:
Interesting video.

From all indications the cause of the Fuel scarcity is clear. If you listened carefully, you'd understand the real reason why it was so easy for Jonathan to provide us fuel and it's been so difficult for Buhari to do same.

Kachichukwu's 3 undertones.

1)We(NNPC) shouldn't have attempted to go it(importation) alone.
Buhari assumed that NNPC can supply all our fuel needs so he decided to discontinue supply relationship with importers by frustrating their forex demands. He wanted NNPC to do all the importation but forgot to determine first whether they had the capability to execute such a monumental charge. It's like deciding the government would now be responsible for bread supply in the country without first determining if they know the flour suppliers, whether they have enough bakers and things like that.

2)Pipeline vandalism.
Kachichukwu said there has been more pipeline vandalism this year alone than there was in the last 3 years combined. And this has affected terribly fuel supply logistics.
Well I wouldn't say anything here besides the fact that the tompolo pipeline contract suddenly looks like it was the wiser step afterall since whoever is now guarding those pipelines are failing terribly where Tompolo succeeded.

3)Returning to the Jonathan strategy-
Kachichukwu has admitted that the NNPC cannot do this importation thing alone. So same as Jonathan did, they are now deciding to let the private sector get in on importation again.

Truth be told, Buhari's assumption that what worked in the 70s would work today is what is largely responsible for the troubles we are finding ourselves. The earlier Buhari allows his minister their freedom to operate, the faster we would get out of the mess we are facing.
I advice NLders to be careful with this post. If you have a glass of potable water that is mixed with a tinge of cyanide, will you allow a child to drink it simply because the cyanide is in far less quantity than the water? That is the summary of this post above.

1. Kachichukwu never said it was a govt policy for NNPC to import PMS alone, but that govt was forced there because the private marketers couldn't meet up due to FX shortages.

2. Tompolo anything was nothing close to reasonable or sane. There was still pipeline vandalism when GEJ or Tompolo held sway which was worse to bear because they were being paid heftily to prevent it.

3. Lies. Nothing of the sort was said or alluded to. Absolutely nothing. Kachichukwu said the private Upstream big boys are being implored to help provide FX and creativity to help with downstream.

No am not underestimating them, never will I, but am also considering the human aspect of it..

Don't be surprised to see them being out hustled by every other team because let's face it once U've got first, the motivation getting it again isn't as high as when U hadn't tasted it, do U get that?

Also I believe its hard to win back to back titles especially in this very competitive league

You mentioned Miami 12-13 but the season before the NBA league was shortened due to strike so IMO that was a shortcut, infact I disregard that league title but regardless it is on record but still it didn't follow the norm.

Who do you have as your pick for the championship? GSW?

I hope U know GSW aren't even in top 8 when it comes to best defensive stats , sure, defense isn't their forte but In the playoffs we shall see more teams capitalizing on that and pushing the splash brothers out of their comfort zone
1. The motivation to win it can be MORE. Some people said if Kyrie didn't get injured after game 1, and if the Spurs didn't lose to the Clippers, GSW would not have won it. They want to put that hypothesis to bed.

2. A40 mentioned an array of teams that repeated as champs. I didn't wanna mention the Bulls to stir up an unnecessary debate. Every solid NBA team in history was expected to repeat as champs.

3. That shortened league wasn't shortened for only Miami abi? So other teams should have given them a fight. The excuse about shortened league doesn't hold water.

4. The first 8 teams with better defence than GSW why haven't they won as many games? Even the SAS with the so-called best defence were held to 79points with 3 mins to play against the same GSW.

The margin of having the best defence when compared to having the best offence only works when the regular season win % is close. You are talking about a team that has 67-7, and 19-1 against the top 10 teams and you are still talking about defence baba? Haba.

Mark Jackson said after the 87-79 loss to SAS that the defence SAS played on Curry on another day could have resulted in him still dropping 40+ points but then all the dynamics needed for GSW to lose this season happened on that very day.

1. Curry and Thompson shot poorly from the 3pt line.
2. Their top most defensive players were out.
3. They didn't attack the rim as oft as they needed to.
4. They played away.
5. They played a formidable team.

Now tell me how often all these factors will align themselves over a 7 game series for GSW to be outhustled by anyone, barring injuries to key players.

LMAO! @Beauty

But who are the real challengers to the east finals? Is it toronto NAH, Miami?! Boston?! Pacers?! Bulls?! Hawks?! Seriously who...? I think Cavs gon enter the championship finals but I don't think also they will W it

I know for sure that a western team is going to win it and am gon place my all my side bets on San Antonio, GSW can't win it back to back that's way too hard, complacency will surely set in

U support rockets?
But Houston Rockets 93-94, Miami 12-13 went back to back. Are those teams better than GSW?

I don't understand this type of underestimation.

If you simply compare westbrook with curry, and KD against any GSW forward, I can see how you come to this conclusion. But the reason GSW is this good is not Curry's individual brilliance, even though this is what sportscenter likes to highlight. Its the sets they play and the discipline to stick to their game plan. Even when Curry has a bad day, they still almost always win. If westbrook has a bad day, it is finished.

Westbrook is not really a PG - he doesnt have the mentality and it burns OKC when the shots stop falling, usually in the fourth when you really need those points, but he already lost his legs because he was leaping like a frog all day lol. Durant has refused to get to the next level, that is using his team mates to punish teams loading up on him and taking advantage of that length on defense.

GSW will beat OKC 4-1 in any playoff series. That one game sef, I hesitate to give
Good analysis. The emboldened got me rolling. grin

Ok, let's see if Clippers can make it happen. By the way, i think OKC would be the potential team to beat GSW. KD and West Brook are better now, especially West Brook, becomes more mature and play more teamworks with his teammates.
Who is going to be the new coach of OKC?
I don't know how this logic works. OKC are 3-0 against GSW and people are still saying they are the potential GSW beaters? How?

Besides, the game against the Clippers is at the Waracle. Isn't it disrespectful to expect a loss from the Warriors?
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 2:06pm On Mar 22, 2016
Teams that beat the warriors are now 2-5 in the next game afterwards. Which means they expend all their energies to beat the Warriors and then pay for it the following game. The Spurs are included in this since they squandered a 30-7 first quarter blow out against the Hornets to lose.

Curry struggles again from the 3pt line but Draymond steps up for the team to edge the Wolves 109-105 in a game where the Wolves replicated the Spurs defence on Curry.

Personally, I think Pop showed his hands too early. Kerr would be devising a plan to forestall the switches on the screen and help Curry rediscover his shooting rythm.

I understand you bro. You are entitled to your reservations for them (advanced diplomas) going by your experience. I was just suing for caution. People need to understand more than anything that getting TRVs is on a case by case basis with some elements of serendipity to it.

I don't know if it was you that talked about a 33 year old with large study gap who got his TRV approved for an advanced diploma even after having a Bachelors in Nigeria. At least going by my own experience, all the people I know that got TRVs with advanced diploma, had bachelors already. 2 had "second class lower" degrees, 1 had a first class degree, and the most recent had a 2-1 from Covenant University in 2011.

Before Princey83 mentioned that he knew someone who had 1-year PGWP after undergoing a 2-year diploma, I am sure we all assumed it was almost certain a 2 year Post-secondary schooling will elicit a 3-year PGWP. At least I thought so. TRVs are case by case, in a nutshell.

Not affiliated to the Agency and I will not use them if I am to apply for a TRV. But they have some degree of success (at least going by my friends' experiences). I will put their success rate at 8.5/10. Which means there still exists a 15% chance that you could be unsuccessful -and yes they are expensive. Just that, of all the Agencies in Nigeria, I think they are the most recognised.

then maybe your choice of program was what worked against you as it is advanced diploma..

I respect your opinion. But you have said this thing long enough that many people might think you are right. I know at least 4 people that are in Canada today via advanced diplomas. They are not active on nairaland, else I would have asked them to come and share their experiences. The most recent got his TRV last month and is pushing to go to Lambton in September.

If I didn't know NL, I'd have thought that people always got approved because these guys I know all used Maple education as their agents-and they got approved. On the other hand, if I knew ONLY NL, I'd have thought the rejections were a recurring happenstance because that's almost always what gets reported- and this is wrong.

People should be implored to package better applications from the SOP, SOA and documentations, before Masters, PGCs and advanced diplomas become chief criteria.

Credit to the Spurs. They played well and held the most offensive team in the NBA this season to 79 points, but there is alot of over analysis even here and few other blogs.

Klay and Curry combined for 2/18 yesterday from the 3pt line. That's as bad as they need to shoot to lose a game. 3 or 4 of the last 18 came in the final secs of the 4th quarter when they tried to reduce the deficit. It was a horrid show 3pt wise but please, 4 of the last 87pts for SAS came as a result of FTs caused by intended fouls from GSW to save time and try to level the game. In otherwords, GSW defended well enough to keep SAS at bay.

Concerning the double teaming and rotation on the screen, obviously there were moments were it can be attributed to the reason Steph shot poorly but please again, it wasn't always the reason. SAS played this same tactics in January and he made 37pts because he shot better. Even yesterday he had about 5 clear/non-contested shots that he normal buries, but he didn't.

Not taking anything away from Green who had 2 blocks on Steph. Green played well. Along with Aldridge and Manu I'd say they played the best on the Spurs team. Perhaps asking GSW to make it 32-1 against this Spurs after playing the Mavs was a hard task but they would have 2 more regular season games and the playoffs to make a statement.

I still feel they are on course to repeating NBA finals this year again. Let's see if Pop has Steph and GSW as a whole figured out.

1. Use a larger SOA. Not because you need it but because the VO wants to see it.

2. In your SOP try to explain why it won't be necessary to finish your BSc in Nigeria. Maybe you can claim what you are studying now in UNIPORT is not what you really have a passion for.

I said this because having your uncle over there willing to foot your bills and accomodate you may make you come across as someone who is overly dependent on someone else who is over there, which is not what the VO wants for his/her country.

Those saying Warriors will lose because they were stretched by the Mavs have a point but you need to understand that with GSW..it is more than just getting to 73. They last won at Spurs in 1997. In numbers, they are 0-32 in Texas. They want so dearly to put that record to bed.

It will be close. Only way GSW lose is if they have many turnovers like they did against Lakers and if they shoot 1/18 from the 3pt line like they did in that game. Any other way, they will edge it with their shooting.
