I didnt see where the young man boasted, it might have come across to you as a boast, he wrote that he typically scores avg of 45/50 in maths, which is a valid assessment of himself, so if all of a sudden it looks like a boast to you, check yourself ! His performance should be independent of others. what if with his 260 he fails to get admission, because of others with higher scores?
