Just imagine ooo. Ladies, is all these really necessary? |
Avoid a Conflict Addicted Lady completely. She creates drama where there’s none. Every small issue becomes a 3-day war. Peace at home is impossible, and kids grow up in that tension. |
Avoid an Unfaithful or Unrepentant Lady completely. Cheating breaks trust. Staying with someone who cheats and shows no remorse means you’re signing up for a marriage built on insecurity and suspicion. |
Avoid an Irresponsible Lady completely. She has no accountability. Bills unpaid, kids neglected, house in chaos, and it’s always someone else’s fault. Marriage requires two adults. If you’re parenting her too, you’ll burn out. |
Avoid an Emotionally Manipulative Lady completely. She uses guilt, tears, silent treatment, or threats to control you. “If you love me, you’ll do XYZ.” Everything becomes emotional blackmail. You end up walking on eggshells, in your own house. |
Avoid a Financially Reckless or Dishonest Lady completely. She hides spending, lies about money, competes with you financially, or expects you to fund a lifestyle you never agreed to. Money fights are the number 1 cause of divorce. If you’re not on the same page about money before marriage, it gets worse after. |
Avoid a Disrespectful Lady completely. She can’t disagree without insulting, belittling, or running you down in front of others. Respect is the floor of marriage. Once it’s gone, love and attraction die fast. You can’t build a home with someone who sees you as the enemy to defeat. |
Cum4me:Really? |
Uptheante:I see where you’re coming from, but a few things in this argument don’t hold up to the facts and logic. 1. Hymen ≠ proof of virginity, and it’s not exclusive to women in the way you think The hymen is a thin membrane of tissue at the vaginal opening. Some people are born with little to none. It can stretch or tear from sports, tampon use, cycling, or nothing at all - not just sex. And it often doesn’t bleed or tear in a way that’s noticeable. So medically, it’s not a reliable test of “sexual purity” for anyone. Men don’t have a visible equivalent, but that’s anatomy, not morality. The absence of a physical marker doesn’t mean men are incapable of sexual activity before marriage. 2. “Virginity as a virtue” is a cultural value, not a biological one Virginity is a social and religious concept across many cultures. It’s applied to men in lots of societies too - think of expectations around chastity in many religious communities for both genders. The idea that it’s “female only” comes from specific cultural norms, not biology. 3. The car/food analogies treat people like property Comparing a person’s sexual history to a “secondhand car” or “leftover food” reduces a human being to an object with a resale value. People aren’t commodities. Sexual history doesn’t change someone’s worth, capacity for love, health, or ability to be a good partner. If your concern is about trust, STDs, or matching values, those are valid things to discuss before marriage. But those apply to both men and women, and they’re addressed through open conversation and testing, not through policing one person’s past. 4. On financing marriage In Nigeria and many places, men traditionally pay bride price and take on more of the upfront costs. That’s a cultural expectation, not a universal rule. Plenty of marriages now involve shared costs, and some women are the primary earners. Even where the man finances more, a marriage is legally and emotionally a partnership - not a transaction where you buy exclusive rights to someone’s past. If what you want is a partner with the same values and expectations around sex before marriage, that’s fair to look for. State it upfront when dating. But framing it as “paying for untouched goods” usually creates resentment, not the trust you need for marriage. What matters more for a stable marriage is usually: shared values, communication, financial compatibility, and mutual respect - not a physical condition that can’t actually be proven. |
