For the OP, any and every developed country place value on education and encourage their students to perform significantly well. They cherish it a lot. If you're opportuned to have a first class degree, go for it. It will help a lot especially if you're into academics. Don't follow the bandwagon of first class doesn't guarantee success

The Senate has officially passed the bill to rename *National Insurance Commission (NAICOM)* to *Insurance Regulatory Commission (IRC)* on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Senate says the old name "NAICOM" was confusing given the history and make-up of the Nigerian Insurance Industry. The new name "IRC" is meant to be clearer.
