PoliticsMinisterial List, "Is It Worth The Wait? " by esshman(op): 3:13pm On Oct 15, 2015
Credit goes to my friend Oboho Asanwana. I decided to share the piece.

Ministerial list viral statement "Is it worth the wait", An Insult
on Due Diligence and Administrative Prudence.
In an interview on Channels TV, Robert Clarke (SAN)
explained that the present constitution does not compel the
President to appoint Ministers. He based this on Section 5
of the constitution of the FGN, which states that upon the
President winning an election, declaring his assets and
taking oath of office; he shall be in FULL control of ALL
Executive powers.
Interpretation: According to the Senior Advocate, the
President may not need to appoint a Minister for any
purpose, except were he feels he cannot fully and effectively
exercise all His Executive powers without delegating some
of it, is he then enjoined to appoint a Minister. This excludes
the office of the Attorney General of the Federation which is
recognised by law.
While any right thinking citizen of this country will agree that
Mr President cannot effectively administer all the Executive
functions, it is pertinent to state that he portrayed good
leadership style in familiarising himself with the various
ministries and their challenges through diligent meetings
with delegations from all the ministries as witnessed in the
last four months; taking into consideration the level of rot
inherited by his administration.
I therefore do not see the skewed interpretation of many
Nigerians attributing the delay of the ministerial list as a
search for saints as being fair, if the President decided to
diligently study and understand the situations in the various
ministries first, as an effective way of taking a DECISION on
his choice of Ministers and their portfolios. Therefore the
viral statement of 'is it worth the wait' is an insult on due
diligence and administrative prudence.

Health20 Weird Things You Didn’t Know About The Human Hair by esshman(op): 4:30pm On Sep 17, 2015
If you think you know everything there is to know about
your hair, think again.

You may know how to style it or whether or not you want to finally get those bangs you’ve been thinking about at your next salon appointment, but there’s a lot of weird stuff going on up there that we rarely give a second thought.

Here are 20 Weird Things You Didn’t Know About Your Hair
that may just blow your mind, or at least make you rethink
the extent of your hair knowledge.

1. Hair is made up mostly of keratin, the same protein
animals’ horns, hooves, claws, feathers, and beaks are
made of.

2. When wet, a healthy strand of hair can stretch an
additional 30% of its original length.

3. Hair grows slightly faster in warm weather, because heat
stimulates circulation and encourages hair growth.

4. All hair is dead, with the exception of the hair that’s still
inside the epidermis of your scalp.

5. Hair contains information about everything that has ever
been in your bloodstream, including drugs, and is one of the
most commonly used types of forensic evidence.

6. The only thing about you that can’t be identified by your
hair is your gender—men’s hair and women’s hair are
identical in structure.

7. Black is the most common hair color. Red is the rarest
and only exists in about 1 percent of the world’s population,
with blonde hair found in 2 percent.

8. As soon as a hair is plucked from its follicle, a new one
begins to grow.

9. Hair is 50 percent carbon, 21 percent oxygen, 17 percent
nitrogen, 6 percent hydrogen, and 5 percent sulphur.

10. Hair can grow anywhere on the human body with the
exception of the palms of hands, soles of feet, eyelids, lips,
and mucous membranes.

11. Goosebumps from cold or fear are the result of hair
follicles contracting, causing the hair and surrounding skin
to bunch up.

12. The average number of hair strands varies by natural
color, with blondes having the most and redheads having
the fewest.

13. The scientific term for split ends is “ trichoptilosis .”

14. Aside from bone marrow , hair is the fastest growing
tissue in the body.

15. Balding only begins to become visible once you’ve lost
over 50 percent of the hairs from your scalp.

16. At any given time, 90 percent of the hairs in your scalp
are growing, while the other 10 percent are resting.

17. A single hair has a lifespan of about five years.

18. Hair acts as a layer of thermally insulating protection
for our heads, which lack the insulation that fat provides for
the rest of our bodies.

19. Eighty percent of Americans wash their hair twice a day.

20. Each strand of hair can support up to 100 grams in
weight. Multiply that by the average 100,000 to 150,000
strands on each head, and your entire head of hair could
support the weight equivalent to two elephants.

PoliticsRe: See What Is Happening To Nigeria's Economy Under Buhari by esshman(m): 2:37pm On Sep 11, 2015
obailala:
Can you kindly shut up and shove that your silly opinion up your asss.

THe present situation we find ourselves today is due to 2 things;
1. Sudden crash in oil prices
2. The indiscretions, incompetence and diabolic corruption of the past administration.

We had an administration which could not save a dime even though for its 5 years, the nation enjoyed unprecedented economic boom with average oil prices constantly above $100/barrel. The indiscretions of the past government by not saving for the rainy day led to this mess. The nation was already in an economic nosedive into oblivion and the new administration took over midway.

How do you classify a government that consistently had a budget surplus for 5 consistent years, yet the world oil prices crash and within 2 months, Nigeria had to officially devalue its currency and even the FG had to borrow to pay workers salary?.... The effect of devaluing the naira in December led to a free fall of the naira to over N250 to a dollar until the new government had to implement draconian measures to checkmate the free fall. We talking of a government that met foreign currency reserves to the tune of over $60billion but left less than $29billion on their exit even at a time we had the biggest economic boom in Nigeria's history.... and some homo-sapiens still think that was progress.

If you had an iota of common sense in your head, you would know who and which government is culpable for the mess we find ourselves in. God simply saved Nigeria from plunging into a catastrophic economic mess like what we have in nations like north korea, greece, zimbabwe and somalia. Yet some twerps like yourself who supported the last diabolically incompetent and plainly wicked administration are here trying to pass the blame to a man who has come in to clean the mess. Just do me a favour, gerrarrahia! angry angry
God bless you jare. Anyone who thinks this economic recession was caused by a government just 100 days old should go back to whichever school he/she graduated from and get a refund. When developed countries had economic meltdown few years ago what did our government do? They kept siphoning the money until there's no money to siphon anymore. The biblical Joseph became a prime minister just because he told the King about the famine and how to be prepared for it. Please don't mention the banks. Most of them gave loans to those billionaires and their MDs diverted the interests to their personal account. The best way to get Nigeria back on track is to get rid of corruption. I don't trust Buhari, he's human too. I trust myself so I've tightened the loose ends in my family and place of work. If we all stand up against these corrupt people we'll enjoy the benefits. Let's stop the e-fighting and do what responsible Nigerians should do. God bless us. God punish those who are bent on destroying this nation.

SportsRe: I Never Knew Mikel Could Score Goals - Mourinho by esshman(m): 11:02am On Aug 26, 2015
safarigirl:
so you can't make friends with people that are older than you?

So because we're all in the same school/academy, we must all be age mates abi?

What kind of extremely flawed thinking is that? My friend your first point is highly invalid. There is nothing that suggests that because two people are from the same academy, they're mates. Iheanacho is 17 and was in an Academy, does it then follow that the 13-year olds in the same academy are his agemates? Or do you think the age for being in an academy is fixed?

If you bring a picture of Messi and one of Mikel anyone can see that Messi looks way older than Mikel, he even looks like Iniesta's age-mate, abi una think say we no dey see? Please stop talking nonsense.
Do you realize that your argument would have been better if you didn't rain those insults? I understand your view but learn how to argue without insulting people.

PoliticsRe: Seven Operations That Will Annihilate Boko Haram - Soe by esshman(m): 11:13pm On Jul 13, 2015
soe:
SEVEN OPERATIONS THAT WILL ANNIHILATE BOKO HARAM

1. OPERATION KWIW : Operation Know Who Is Who
Identify the zones in the North East, the towns and the villages that are suspected to house boko haram in Nigeria. Map them in red and let us know who is who. Declare publicly as much as possible to the people in those towns that it is time to identify either as a Nigerian Patriot or Rebel. Let them know about operation LMPG. This is a one week operation. Friday to Friday.

2. OPERATION LMPG: Operation Let My People Go
Now that Nigerian loyalist in this fragile towns are alert to the news…consider them as refugees in a war torn zone and map out a 3 months temporary relocation. Distribute a fixed number of people per location to various camps in Nigeria. These camps must be well guarded and well restricted so that they do not filter into other communities. They shall be conveyed in numbered trucks with each person well scrutinised and issued an identity card showing all his/her necessary details. All manner of food and energy supply to the red zone is hereby stopped. This operation should take 3 weeks.

3. OPERATION PSB2B: Operation Police Soldier Back to Back
Now that we have moved our people out of the red zone, we must prevent the enemies from crossing to the green zones. Similarly, we must watch our backs to safeguard our fronts. Hence, 70% of the Police workforce in Nigeria will be deployed to camp all around the border line between the Nigerian Red Zone and Green Zone. At this stage, we are not particularly keen on manning the trans-national borders linking Nigeria to Chad, Niger and Cameroon. The Police shall be given all ammunitions and Protection to handle any unforeseen distractions. Backing the Police and facing the Red zone, shall be our Battle Angry Military Men. 70% of the National Military Strength must be constricted on the red zone, forming a water tight barrier in as many layers as possible. At this stage, these men are only to take formation; no offence shall be launched. This should take 2 weeks.

4. OPERATION KATM: Operation Kill Anything That Moves
We have moved our people out of the red zone, we have mapped out the zone clearly and sealed it on our own side, with 70% of our police and Military forces providing water tight protection for the green area of the Country. Now is the time for kill anything that moves. Launch a regimented air assault on the red zone, to be complemented by battalion action every other day. At this stage, it is clear that the Bandits will move to various underground tunnels. Direct interest must be placed on destroying rebel’s weaponry via airstrikes as this will render them susceptible to ground forces. Unending air strikes is the key to a successful one as they shall have no time to recoup or strategize. This should take 4 weeks.

5. OPERATION CUBG: Operation Close-Up Battle Ground
For every recorded success in airstrikes, comes the chance to gradually narrow and close in on the red zone. This is important to allow ground forces physically deal with an already weakened rebel army of injured and cowardly rebels. Thereby increasing the green zone and drawing closer to our trans-national borders. The police back up is meant to follow on as well. The rebels are however most likely to be held up towards the trans-national border waiting for a major assault. However, they must be really disappointed when their hideout is immediately determined by trained analysts who have studied earlier recorded graphics and subsequently blown up by a major air strike. This should take 4 weeks

6. OPERATION SWEEP: Operation See What Every Enclave Possesses
While our Battalion close in on the red zone, it is important to comb it as there is the possibility of an underground weaponry housing hiding ammunitions kept by a runaway rebel, with the hope of returning to it at a safer time. Hence, the need to employ Mine Detection gadgets to scan the underground as they close in on the red zone. This should take 4 weeks.

7. OPERATION STWT: Operation Stay There With Them
At this stage, all traces of Boko Haram members have been wiped out of the red zone and 70% of our Armed forces are stationed at the trans-national border. It is time to return 35% to post-operation duty positions, while releasing 15% to integrate in the community and ensure orderliness as villagers are returned to their respective homes (as guided by the identity cards issued to them 3 months ago). There is the need for government at this instance, to provide funds in restoring lives to normal for the villagers. This should take 6 months
