BusinessRe: Power Crisis: Senator Calls For Ban On Generators by Esss(m): 6:56pm On Jul 15, 2008
Na wah for Nigerians o!

So because NEPA/PHCN/the Nigerian government has refused to give the masses light we should all buy candle to achieve what??

If they ban you from using your alternative power source, how does that solve the problem at hand??

We are saying that the man is blind and instead of thinking of how to make him see again you want to take away his cane, what will this solve??

Okay let me ask all our pro-generator banners, What did banning the importation of cement, pasta, sugar, juice, rice, flour, chicken, leather shoes, toilet rolls, toothpick, e.t.c do?? I will tell you, It made the Dangotes rich, cost of the commodities went up, quality of the products reduced, avaliabilty of the products became a problem, smugglers had a nice time, Nigerian customs offiders became even richer.
In Nigeria, barely 1% of the population actually depends on public water supply, Lets also ban the importation of pumping machines and the use of private boheholes because the importers are sabotaging the governments effort to provide us with water. what nonsense   angry

The issue is not generators, the problem is that we cant even generate enough power to serve the entire nation. Our hydro dams are all old and dilapitated. How do you give something that you dont have?? Lets be objective on this issue, do youu think it is cheaper to run a generator?? Have you taken into account the cost of servicing the generator?? routine maintainance nko?? Diesel is 140 naira per litre, in a month we spend approx. 60,000 naira on diesel alone (not including servicing o!). So let me ask you, is it really convinient for anybody to wnat to run a generator over pblic power supply??

Lets face the issue and stop looking for excuses jare!  angry  Even when the light is there, it is so unstable that it ends up destroying half the appliances in the house.

We need private investors in the power industry.

Why dont we ban mobile phones so that NITEL can come up again.

I wonder why some Nigerians reason like imbeciles??  angry  angry  angry

CH3COO:
Protection in your eyes could be seen as bullying to him. If your sister was gullible enough to continue handing him money like a potato head, then maybe she had it coming for her and it serves her right. But for you to take it upon yourself to start a little something on the side, not only means you weren't thinking, but also flirting with retaliatory violence. If it had been someone like me, I would not "give a Bleep" just like you, and you would get it. Your boys too.
Well then, I pray you dont date my sister so as for us not to know what would happen if you actually mess with her.

@ Ess, you a bum and you should be glad the guy was a mark.  You are very lucky you didn't jeopardy your safety and your sister's safety.
I dont need luck to protect a loved one, let alone family. I have people who watch my back 24/7 just as I watch theirs. I'll go to war if necessary just to make sure that my own stays safe. I dont give a Bleep about which family you are affiliated with.

When push comes to shove, my family comes first.

Guys:

Your sister tend to be a national cake for guys(so you heard). She's always heart broken and has been knocked up once. What do you do next time you see her hanging around another "Hanniballike" man or any man at all? Will you become overbearing even when she made it clear to you to mind your business or will you help her sort out the ship from the wolves?
I do o!

Back in the days when I was in school, my sis called me on the phone and was complaining bout her ex and how she gave him money and all worth not. I told her she was stupid, adviced her and told her to get on with her studies. Then sometime later she call again telling me the dude was bak and appologising and all worth not.
I didnt tell her though but I called up some of my hommies and had them handle the little twep on my behalf. He was warned not to go near her ever again and to pay her every cent he owed her with interest. She called later and said he came back and paid her back her monies and also appologised. He never told her the motivation behind his appolgies.  wink  wink

What I am saying is that, I have the unfortunate responsiblity of being a big brother, and even if it means invading her privacy just to keep her safe, then I hold no appologies.

RomanceRe: Lets Be Truthful: Is Your Partner Worth A Fight? by Esss(m): 1:39pm On Jul 15, 2008
Answer

1. Nope!! No fighting there. It's her choice, she should be able to handle that without my having to fight.
2. No man born of a woman would hit my girl and live to survive it. HE is just a phone call away from the grave (I'm too big to get my hands dirty). I am willing to kill for my current Girlfriend & I aint kidding.
3. Well I guess, that means we are done. No fighting here either.
BusinessRe: Power Crisis: Senator Calls For Ban On Generators by Esss(m): 1:29pm On Jul 15, 2008
If they want a productive ban, Let them ban generators in all federal parastatals and offices, starting with the presidential villa, gorvernment houses, Federal and states secretariats, Federal and states houses of assemblies, the judiciaries, e.t.c. Then they will sit up.

Why punish the people for the crime of the government.

My answer, HELLS NO!!
BusinessRe: Power Crisis: Senator Calls For Ban On Generators by Esss(m): 1:14pm On Jul 15, 2008
I do not support the ban in anyway.

People reserve the right to provide basic amenities for themselves. Take a look at the water situation in Nigeria. Let the federal government ban the drilling of individual boreholes and lets all depend on the Nigerian Water Works for water, people will suffer. No, I take that back, people will die.

Banning the importation or use of generators will only lead to the collapse of the economy. Even with generators, people still pay exhorbitant bills to PHCN for no service. Instead of banning generators, let the government allow for foriegn investors to come in and provide independent power, just like MTN, Celtel, e.t.c. People will pay any amount for power if they are guaranteed constant and steady power supply. Its not as if the price of petrol and diesel are cheap anyways.

The government does not have the right to ban generators. Infact Nigeria is running on generator, take this away and watch the resulting effect of such an unproductive ban.

Lets face the issue at hand and stop looking for what to ban/blame.

Shey if those guys find out and decide to rape, pour acid, shit or flog you to vent their anger it would be that guys are wicked and heartless, abi?? Peoples emotions are the last thing you should want to mess with, cos although it might be sweet and gentle and loving, it can also kill, maim and cause the kind of harm that surpasses your wildest imagination. You should watch the crime network & see what I am talking bout

First of all I am appauled by the fact that you delibrately coax them into falling in love with you to satify yourself, knowing fully well that you want nothing from them. Anyways I wish you the best, and I hope for your sake that non of those six guys happen to be me, because you'll definitely leave with something to remember me by.
