Opoki: Though its so sad but i salute your courage girl. Weve seen people who got raped to death, we've seen those who got raped and still got shot, we've seen those who got raped and got Life threaten diesease such as STDs (HIV), so i believe you acted well (not so brave) for you to have stood up to and fought them for a virtue you believe in. I know you wouldn't have been been to cope with the stigma for life so you fought.
Your soul will torment those bastard for life and i pray they never know peace. (Amen).
Rip.
You really believe this shiit?!!

YOU KNOW THAT SHOE WOULD NOT HAVE SURVIVED THE TRAUMA OF BEING RAPED?!! Like really?!!

Do you know how many Nigerian girls have been r@ped in their life time?! Heck, if girls would be honest, atleast 3 in 5 girls have been r@ped. I know several of them that have been r@ped. Infact, one of my friends was r@ped twice by her driver and armed robbers.. Today she is happily married. Another girl was abused constantly for years by a relative before her father found out..

She would have survived it. It takes time and counselling, but eventually she would have overcome it.. Time heals all wounds..

And that shiit about your paryers and her soul tormenting them is crap.. I'm sure she cried and called God just before she got shot and he didnt answer her distress call, ne your prayers wan come turn water to wine?!

Dude, she didnt need to die.. As much as its commendable her fighting for her virtue, but she didnt need to die. It would have been a different ball game if she got merked after the r@pe, but in this case, I beg to differ.. She didnt have to die.

ocelot2006: Dude, my family serve in the force. There is a Signals dept in the NPF, with each state having its own unit (code name: CONTROL). Those Motorola CB radios you see in patrol vehicles, or radio towers and VSAT dishes at state HQs and FHQ are not for show. They work VERY well. But like I said, there CB radio communications are not encrypted, and that's a big problem.
REALLY?!

So you mean that those radios really work!?!

Okay, what about the poice exchange?! Like whats the police emergency shortcode?! Like our 911 or 999?

ocelot2006: I can't say I'm suprised. Signals transmitted by CB radios used by the NPF are not encrypted. All you have to do is tune into the correct frequency, and you're in. You'll think the engineers at the Force's Signals dept will at least adapt techniques like Frequency Hopping or Direct Spread Spectrum. But nope.
Honest to God, I dont know what all that technical shiit you said there means, but I can tell you for free that the only time that police radios work are when the Governor or the President is around.. Infact, I can almost swear that the few policemen lucky to get a radio use it to listen to Rhythm 93.7 FM... grin

Dude, there is no such thing as Police signals department.. Last time I was at State CID in Rivers State, I happened to stumble upon their telephone exchange room and the room was so dirty that it was a dumpsite for all the clutter in the station and the exchange equipment itself looked like a dead relic..

PBundles: Im not a lawyer, but with the exception of attractive ( very subjective), the remaining criteria seems applicable. I would expect that someone applying for the cabing crew job would be presentable. The other criteria could be borne out of safety requirements (ie not be to fat, in case if emergency so as to enable agile movement. I know these requirements are also used in other airlines as collegues wife works for KLM ( mor than 15 years) and actually is on the Abuja-Amsterdam route.

Just my 2 cents.

I dont know wether to believe this story or laugh at it..

Since when did Police radios start working?!

And why is it that everytime robbers succeed, they blame it on the calibre of weapons the robbers were wielding?!

For bleeps sakes, they are the police?! They should be experts with their weapons?! Instead what we see are cases of accidental discharge victims and cases of stray bullets. A well trained marksman with a catapult can fell a dummy with a GPMG. Its all about precision not the size of the weapon.

Please any lawyers in the house?!

I would like to know if the highlighted portions of the requirements arent a breach of the consititutional right of Nigerians to not be discriminated due to circumstances of their birth?! Especially the height, beauty and weight parts?!

I have taken the liberty of even checking up on the constitution and here is what it says in CHAPTER IV, Article 41 of the Constition;

42. (1) A citizen of Nigeria of a particular community, ethnic group, place of origin, sex, religion or political opinion shall not, by reason only that he is such a person:-

(a) be subjected either expressly by, or in the practical application of, any law in force in Nigeria or any executive or administrative action of the government, to disabilities or restrictions to which citizens of Nigeria of other communities, ethnic groups, places of origin, sex, religions or political opinions are not made subject; or

(b) be accorded either expressly by, or in the practical application of, any law in force in Nigeria or any such executive or administrative action, any privilege or advantage that is not accorded to citizens of Nigeria of other communities, ethnic groups, places of origin, sex, religions or political opinions.

(2) No citizen of Nigeria shall be subjected to any disability or deprivation merely by reason of the circumstances of his birth.

(3) Nothing in subsection (1) of this section shall invalidate any law by reason only that the law imposes restrictions with respect to the appointment of any person to any office under the State or as a member of the armed forces of the Federation or member of the Nigeria Police Forces or to an office in the service of a body, corporate established directly by any law in force in Nigeria.

Basically, these requirements are prejudiced towards fat people, midgets and people under the height requirements and ugly people.

I might just be able to excuse the weight and height requirement as it can be argued that these can limit their ability to do the job, but to discriminate/judge a person based on looks is just criminal...

Please lawyers, explain this...

Enyeama has really not beenin form lately and coupled with his poor playing time at his club where he is a substitute goalie, its really a wonder why he made the team list let alone be our starting goalie..

However, the player that put the blame on the entire team is indeed a professional as he did what any good player would do which is accept responsibility instead of pointing fingers..

Truth be told, Siasia should never have been sacked.. I always had a feeling that things would end like this under Keshi.. Siasia was trying to build a new team, keshi is trying to manage the old.. Thank God I didn't watch the match.
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo’s View On N5000 Is His Personal Opinion - Okupe by Esss(m): 10:02am On Sep 10, 2012
shagry1: The Presidency has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s criticism of the proposed N5000 note as personal opinion.

Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, told journalists in Abuja on Friday, that Obasanjo, as an “ordinary” individual, had the freedom to speak on issues.

Obasanjo had at a forum in Lagos last Thursday, said the N5000 denomination would kill production and affect small businesses negatively.

But Okupe, a one-time spokesman for the Obasanjo presidency, said, “Obasanjo is an ordinary citizen. He has the right to speak on issues of national importance, but his views are not sacrosanct. But Obasanjo has right to his own opinion.”

The presidential aide said the Federal Government was right to approve the denomination.

He also denounced criticisms by opposition parties that the introduction of the higher denomination would lead to inflation.

Okupe, a medical doctor, turned, politician, said there was no need to argue over the issue, adding that with his interaction with experts, there was no guarantee that the new note, when introduced, would either lead to inflation or affect production.

He said, “It is a project of the Central Bank of Nigeria and it is also important to carry people along. From my investigation and discussion with experts, there is no assurance that it will lead to inflation.

“There is $1000 bill in the United States and that has not negatively affected the economy there.

“It is not carried by all Americans, but by those who need it. The N5000 note will also be like that. We should not dissipate energy on that.

“We over-politicise issues in this country. This note will not affect the cashless policy of the government as being speculated in some quarters as well.”

He also spoke on the criticisms over Jonathan’s penchant for committees, saying the President was fond of setting up committees in order not to arrogate power and knowledge to himself (Jonathan) alone.

Okupe, however, assured that the reports of all the committees and sub-committees set up by his boss in the past would be made public to Nigerians soon.

Okupe had been asked why the President set up another committee to study the recommendations of the Presidential Committee on the Re-organisation of the Nigeria Police Force.

The first committee, which was headed by an ex-Assistant General of police, Mr. Parry Osayande, had submitted its recommendations to the President penultimate Tuesday.

But a day after, the President set up a review committee, headed by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke.

Before now, the President had been accused on many occasions of having the habit of setting up committees whose reports are usually not made known to the public.

In the past few months, the President has set up no fewer than 15 committees, which many political analysts say amount to waste of funds and time.

But Okupe said, “Now, the issue of committee is that, in Nigeria, we have a large population and a lot of brilliant of people.

“We must not forget that democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people.

“There is no need for a President to sit down in the Villa and he and his cohort get to formulate and appropriate knowledge to themselves. The issue of committees will not stop.

“Maybe in the past, there were no actions and committee reports had been put into the background but that will not happen this time around.”

Okupe said that he only went through Jonathan’s inauguration speech on Wednesday and that he was amazed to see that the President had delivered on about 15 of his promises.

He said, “I went through the presidential broadcast on the day he was inaugurated, and I was amazed that the things he said he would do and he has done, numbered about 14 and 15.

“This is a President who says ‘I will do something’ and he has done them.”

If so, then Igbos should also demand 'Marketing/Business Land rights' in all states as well.. Afterall, Igbos are the leading tribe in business in Nigeria. So in all 36 States, the Government should provide a large expanse of Land for the Igbos to do business in free of charge and taxes and all worth not. We can call it the 'UMMUNNA BUSSINESS BELT'. I dont know what the Yorubas are into, but they should also lay claim to the federal land allocation matter as well.. And so should every tribe in Nigeria..

These Fulani cattlefuckers had better stay in their lane.. Only the Northerners can acomodate them.. If they venture enter our lands wether under federal allocation or whatever, they will not be alive to tell the story o!! angry

amor4ce: Son impregnates own mother, sister in Delta
Posted about 123 days ago
A 26-year-old, Ugochukwu has thrown residents of Ibusa, a settlement near Asaba, the capital of Delta State, into bewilderment and palpable tension for allegedly impregnating his mother and step-sister.
Ugochukwu, otherwise known as Peter by his cliques in the area, was said to have left his mother, identified as Cecilla, to work in a Lagos hotel at the age of 12.
Dailypost exclusively learnt that subsequent on the demise of Ugochukwu’s father, his mother, got married to a Yoruba man in Lagos.
Meanwhile, Peter who was later admitted into the Lagos State Polytechnic met one Mary and they both started dating. Unknown to him, the lovebird latter turned out to be his stepsister (being the girl his mother had for the Yoruba man his mother remarried in Lagos) after putting her in the family way.
However, the love between Cecelia and the Yoruba man went sour after three issues and she latter indulged in commercial sex work around Allen Avenue, Ikeja where his son, Ugochukwu who got himself drunk one night decided to pass the night in the hotel where her mother coincidentally does her bed-to-wealth business.
Unknowingly, Ugochukwu ended up picking his mother and they both had unprotected sexual intercourse and got her impregnated.

I look forward to seeing this on the front page...

crackhouse: Me likey wella. It's very annoying to see Igbo children speaking English as their main language simply because they were born and brought up in Lagos or Abuja and their ignorant parents still refuse to teach them their mother tongue. This is a welcomed development. I wonder why an Igbo traditional ruler will choose to be addressing his people in English language, Is it to show they went to school or what? I don't understand.
Its simply to make sure that the message he is trying to convey is gotten and understood by all.. Afterall the essence of communication is for everyone to understand.
