Inception12: Just got IP1 a week back and it already feels like forever waiting for status to change, patience is really a virtue with this PPR process. Regarding gcms notes, do they make the visa officers take note of your application and speed it up or they are for your comfort?? More for our comfort and to know if everything is 'okay' or if there is something the vo has noted as a red flag and also to find out your visa office. There have been cases where people got ppr shortly after ordering their notes though. |

Ronke1114: Good morning everyone. Pls I need urgent help. My ECA report was supposed to be ready yesterday, I kept checking but nothing. So I checked this morning and got ECA complete but PDF download is not ready. I need to update my profile today, so I can get ITA. I have read sometime ago that you can guess your WES reference. Can someone help pls. And how long does it take for the download to be completed? Which is better: Guessing a reference number and completion date that ends up being wrong (which means you may need to reject the ITA) or waiting patiently until you have all the information you need before diving into the pool? 1 Like |

Newmum0615: Too much sense will not kee you. ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png) Last last, let people do whatever they want with their chest. If you feel WES evaluation of a law degree will give you want you want, please go ahead. Its not our success or our headache. If you want to go the more conservative route that has been tried and trusted over time, then also quietly go with IQAS. Its still not our success or our heartache. Please today is about celebrating the low CRS draw score that is about to be announced and the ITAs that are about to be issued. #Thankyou 5 Likes |

IRCC cannot choose the primary NOC for an applicant. It is the applicant that will choose his/her primary NOC. I know. I asked the question because of how the poster worded it. I wanted to know if something was indicated in the GCMS notes to indicate that the vo 'selected' that NOC (for whatever reason) 1 Like |

Thanks. That’s the issue. Unfortunately we chose the recent NOC forgetting the work experience wasn’t yet up to a year. Can a CSE be raised to change the primary NOC to the other one pls? Raise a CSE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. I hope you submitted sufficient documents for the other NOC 1 Like |

morning de-law, did you attach anything as the source of his fund like employment letter or something? I believe they will be curious to know where the money came from. sorry for grilling you, I'm leaning towards this way and I want to be prepared. Good morning sir. Actually you have raised a valid point. Under his work experience, I did submit his employment certificate which mentioned his monthly salary as well as other proofs of employment (ID card, etc). I already had them handy because we had considered him being the PA so we decided we might as well just submit them even though it didn't give us any additional points ![smiley](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/smiley.png) . Although its not compulsory and people have gotten ppr without it, I don't think it will hurt to add such additional documents if you have them or can easily obtain them. It would give the overall application a more cohesive look. 2 Likes |

Livy2018: Hello house,
My learned sister, if you have really been following this thread and the posts of the people you mentioned, you shouldn't be asking these basic level questions. They have been answered too many times on this thread to count. 1. No issue. Just indicate your maiden name in the question of Alias or if you've been known by any other name. 2. Depends on what you want and its no issue. Just remember that you have 1 year from the date of the medicals to land (or less depending on validity of your passport). So, depending on when you get your COPR, you may have a very short time before you have to land. 3. Again, no issue. In my case hubby transferred 100% of the POF sef and we attached a declaration of gift (not notarized). If its from his personal account, you can simply add a declaration of gift just to cover all angles. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Abby15: Good morning, been a silent reader. We applied for the Canadian PR hubby and I. AOR March 25th. Ordered GCMS note recently and found that we had issues with our eligibility review. Hubby being PA used two different NOCs, one with more than three years and the other not up to a year. Unfortunately, the NOC which isn’t up to a year experience has been chosen as the primary NOC and this has reduced our CRS score from 445 to 395. Is there a way forward pls to prevent rejection. Can we tell them to disregard this NOC? Thanks. [color=#770077][/color] Hello, Did they indicate why they chose that <1 year NOC as the primary one? what documents did you submit for the other 3 years NOC? did you submit reference letter in CIC format? are you sure the declared responsibilities are up to 70% of the declared NOC? Before telling them to disregard that < 1yr NOC, you need to first find out why they decided on it in the first place and ignored the one of 3 years. If it was just an error on their part then raise a CSE as soon as possible. 1 Like |

lumyehiteryur: Hi House,
Thanks Welcome. Let me try to answer your questions 1. Its common knowledge the US and Canada share information easily. Hence why they were able to detect the undeclared visa refusal. This also shows they have details of your US application, including the fact that you applied as married. I think the best you can do is come clean and apply with your single status and maybe submit an LOE and Affidavit declaring yourself to be single. 2. You couldn't have included it even if you wanted to because you haven't completed your studies. Even if you had, its not compulsory to evaluate all your degrees. 3. Its not a red flag but you do need to declare it under your personal history. I wish you the best. 1 Like |

Tojued: Please some questions for peers and seniors.
How detailed did you go in your personal history? Did you add activities such as choir, church society (catholics will understand this) etc? Especially when it's a proper chorale group and not just a church choir or if you are very involved in the church society and have done a lot of Facebook posts on their activities. Nope, I didn't. I don't see how its relevant to them sef. It doesn't affect my work experience or source of income in anyway. I only added professional memberships (like NBA)
If you owned and operated registered businesses while employed, did you add them? This one is tricky. If its a proper registered business with an online presence or which will reflect money inflow to your account then you might have to declare it.
Also how does one explain two full years of unemployment? Will oyinbo understand that in Nigeria it's common to jobhunt for 2-3 years after NYSC? Your own is even good, as you want to put job hunt. I crested 'unemployed' in mine ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png)
Then, are you guys truthful about aliases? When they ask have you ever been known by any other name or alias, is there anyone who has ever put their social media alias (for instance nairaland moniker ) I think the other name they are referring to are like married women changing names and all that. Not my nickname of 'babygirlforlife' ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png)
Peace y'all and wishing you a fruitful week ahead. I wish you a blessed week ahead as well ![kiss](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/kiss.gif) 3 Likes 1 Share |

There’s an option for Father and Step Father (I have both)
I would rather leave them all out actually but I saw on canadavisa forum it could be tagged as misrepresentation ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png) |

You are required to list everyone be it step-parent, step/half brother or sister.
If not for anything, at least they may need to claim points from you in future.
The below pics are from my own application.... I took pictures should they (my siblings)need more proof of relationship in future.
Cool. We learn everyday |

My people, I can understand adding step siblings to the application but step parents? under which section will their details go? or will you have 2 names listed as mother /father? I think listing the step siblings ( and indicating them as such) is enough. Anyway, to each his own ![smiley](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/smiley.png) 1 Like |

Please I would like to know what to do to salvage this situation:
My birth certificate which my late Mom left for me is 1982 (I have been using 1982 till date) but I just noticed that my WAEC certificate carries 1980(could have been a mistake when she was registering me into the secondary school in JS1. Can swearing an affidavit work 4 this? What has your WAEC certificate got to do with anything? Its not like you are submitting it for assessment, or are you? 2 Likes |
