No one wants to answer you because some are tired of answering the same question more than 100 times...... cry cry

I didn't use WES, but I believe I've seen it mentioned countless times on the thread that you can use statement of result in lieu of the certificate

True. There has been an increase in people on this thread who are asking for information for a friend. Well, what can I say?

There has also been an increase in people who have a discrepancy between 'real age' and 'passport age'. Just my observation.

A whole 6 years difference!!

Hello everyone,
Please we need your help on what to do. My sister submitted her PPR application on March 19th and the application has been showing ‘checking eligibility’ (screenshot) with no progress whatsoever for the last 3 months.

Please any suggestion as to how to progress the application would be most appreciated. We don’t even know where her case file is…Kindly advise on the way forward. Much appreciated.

This is IP1 I believe. She should order for her GCMS notes. That will give her information on where her file is and if any red flags have been raised in her application. You can search the thread on how to order through gcmsbuddy

I need help with listening practice. What sites would be of help? I have tried ieltsonlinetests.com and will still use it for practice. My Youtube is not opening again, I dont know why.

try using the Cambridge Ielts test. It helped me immensely.

Hello guys

Just trying to avoid any confusion.

I don't see this as an issue. People get 2, 3 or 4 different types of masters degrees depending on what they aim to gain from it. Its like getting a Masters in Law and later an MBA. A finance house might not regard my LLM and would insist on me getting an MBA.

Canada just wants to be sure that your Masters is genuine, hence the ECA. We have also established that educational qualification and work experience don't need to tally (except in certain circumstances).

So I don't think you have an issue.

Masters officially ended in 2014 based on the date on the cert while my work experience spans from 2013 todate. So after 2014, i still have 3 years 5 months and still counting.

But my letter of employment bears Jan 2013, how do i deal with this pls?

I've already told you to do an LOE......... or do you have any other way to explain what happened (which I believe is the truth?)

It might not be an issue at all in the long run. so do an LOE with your explanations and submit. If your application takes more than 6 weeks to process then order GCMS notes to see if the vo raised any concerns.

SO what do you guys think of a situation where there's overlap, but the studies is obviously longer than usual e.g an MBA that's been on for five years but still not completed. Isn't it self-evident that such an MBA is part-time?

I don't know if anything is self-evident in this Canadian journey... Part time studies are usually indicated somewhere as well as distant learning. It won't hurt to expressly inform them in the LOE (maybe 1 or 2 sentences)

What do you all think pls? I am the PA and trying to put all info right on the profile b4 ITA.

If you have more than 3 years without the overlapping period, the you shouldn't have any concerns. However it won't hurt to include on explanation in your LOE

It depends on you. Despite the fact that I didn't claim points for the work experience, I included the LOE because I wanted to play safe and to avoid any ADR.

I think that was a wise and safe thing to do. Going through my GCMS notes, there is a question asked by the system relating to whether I was studying full time during when I claimed the work experience (or vice versa) and the answer was No. Who knows what they would have noted or asked for if the answer had been Yes.

No, we didn't submit his statement of account (but we submitted other documents in proof of his employment) and we have not received any ADR for anything (God willing we won't grin )

Okay sir Ma I will have to take another test actually I wasn’t really ready with the for the test but this time around am going to put in all my effort. When my wife told me about this trend and I came here to read peoples comment in fact god bless every one. Right now my mind and soul is in Canada Na just my body remain for here

Wait first. before rushing to register again you and your wife need to really digest the whole process because if you had a good understanding of the process/requirements, you would have known the problem with her result. Also, like someone pointed out above, you didn't calculate your scores properly in the first place.

Ok sir Ma so do you suggest I take another English test or we both take it together!!!

Depending on how long ago the result was released / your risk appetite, she could ask for a remark and hopefully it will get upgraded, otherwise she has to retake the exam.

As for you, I'm not sure. Try using the CRS calculator again using your current scores and 8777 in LRWS for your wife. If its high enough then you don't need to retake it

Okay than you sir

My wife result is L;8.0, R;7.0, W: 6.5, S; 8.0 overall 7.5

mine is L;5.5, R 5.0, W; 6.5 S; 6.5 overall 6.0

The bolded is part of the problem...... You need a minimum of 7 in writing to boost your scores since your wife is the PA.

Not sure, but i think your 5 in Reading might be an issue also. I remember reading somewhere that the spouse shouldn't have anything less than 5.5 in any of the sections to be able to contribute meaningfully.

I AM CURRENTLY NOT HAPPY CHA CHA. First attempt with IDP
L 7.5
W 7.0
S 7.5
R 8.5
With this score, I stand at 414 with spouse unaccompanying and with spouse accompany, its 388. With an 8 in listening, its 445. cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry. I cant do two or more certificates cos I have a masters, the only option now is a PhD which I never even start sef. Lemme go to the Canada students group to see how it is done- trying all options here though. Make I gather money to see if I can re-sit the IELTS again

aww dear. please don't be discouraged. you know in this journey our motto is never give up. Please think about writing it again
