This ur 'No man's land syndrome is the reason for Oba Akiolu's backlash. It was ds same way u incited the Notheners into slaughtering your fore-fathers like suya. Politics › Re: Opinion: Can Apc Wins The Governorship Seat In Akwa Ibom State? by Evathyst(f): 8:17am On Apr 07, 2015 |
rikki100: Udoedeghe is one politician that doesn't really know what he wants. In 2007, he stood at a Primary School close to my house and raised Akpabio's hand and made the statement that he doesn't care if Akpabio is Olumba or not, but he will be the one to win. He was Akpabio's campaign manager then. And it was then that rumors were rife that Akpabio was a member of Olumba Olumba obu. Fast forward four years later, due to disagreements with Akpabio, he decamped to ACN and contested against Akpabio. No doubts if the elections was free and fair, he would have floored Akpabio. He had a cult like followership cos the Ibibios felt cheated by the Akpabio government. People were ready to die for him. But as we all know, the election was rigged for Akpabio. Fast forward to 2014, after the merger to form APC, he was still the viable candidate to challenge PDP. Until Umana was disqualified from the PDP primaries. Umana decamped to APC and hijacked the structure of the party. Truth be told. Udoedeghe has grassroots followership. But he doesn't have the financial muscle to challenge PDP. I never saw an APC bus in Aks till Umana joined. Umana gave the Apc life in akwa ibom. PDP may win though but I bet you in Umana, this elections will be so tough. Having the opportunity to know Umana and Udoedeghe personally, I won't take any of them as my governor. I live in Afaha Offot, Udoedeghe's hometown. And sincerely speaking, this town doesn't look like a place that has produced a senator and a minister. His village people despise him so much cos they felt he is of no use today them. I am from Ndiya, Umana's village. My family house is 5 mins walk from his house. His first son was my classmate. Umana is so self centered that he moved the Local Government police station from the local government headquarters that we were born to see to the back of his house. He told Akpabio not to pay minimum wage when he was commissioner of finance. Umana is not a better alternative though but I am supporting him cos Akpabio's own is too much. Meanwhile I heard Udoedeghe collected money from Akpabio, I heard it was 2 billion to stud and destabilize Umana from within the Apc Hmmnnn? U did really speak like an insider. Meanwhile, let's hope APC wins sha. Lest I forget, tnx 4 ur timely response. Will be following this thread bumper to bumper until after the governorship election. |

Ur grammar is the major reason. because of the numerous illiterates like you who cannot distinguish between truth and falsehood. Hence, it wasn't difficult for the PDP to spoon-feed you with baseless propaganda about the APC being an 'Islamic party'. For your info kid, the late Ikemba 'gburugburu' was once a member of ANPP (With the likes of Jeremiah Useni, Muhammadu Buhari, to mention a few). Politics › Re: Barcanista And The Promise Of Ministerial Aide by Evathyst(f): 7:26pm On Apr 01, 2015 |
barcanista: This thread is to address certain issues which I believe are paramount to maintain my reputation.
On a certain day, I was approached by someone to jettison supporting Buhari and switch to Jonathan. The promise of an Aide to a cabinet minister was made. It was a good offer but I rejected it and maintained my support for Buhari. In the spirit of brotherhood I informed Rawani, Berem and some other people. The person that tabled it was a friend and he was even shocked. He had believed APC had been paying me. That was months before my defection. I find it irritating when people like Rawani used it as a basis. Even when I defected, the guy that ade the offer was wondering why I did moved to PDP finally. I told him that it wasn't connected with his offer.
After my defection to PDP, I was offered some stuff by a PDP Representative for my voluntary support to their course, this again I rejected outrightly. Though I maintained my support.
I was also approached by someone who told me the goodies I had missed for defecting to PDP. In fact, he had asked me to immediately retrace my step so as not to miss out on what is prepared for me. He kept on with that because he thought that I should reap from the #Buhari camp after my contributions, all these I declined to his amazement. The week of the election, he still tabled it but I declined.
It becomes shameful for someone like Rawani to assume that I did what I did for so-called Ministerial aide appointment. I know the stuff I'm made of and I don't accept what I don't believe in. If I had wanted to accept the offer I wouldn't have told Rawani or anyone else. I'm not not stupid. I had considered Rawani to be a friend and had lots of conversation with him. It is a shame that he and others will use my sincere words against me.
I would have mentioned names of the people involved but for respect of their privacy and not to drag them into unnecessary controversy, I will rather keep them anonymous.
Let me reiterate that my defection to PDP is unconnected with any offer whether monetary or otherwise.
If Rawani's accusation are truth, may God not grant me any fortune in real life. But if they are false, may God not grant Rawani and all my accusers happiness and fortunes in life.
Those who disagree with me should say amen.... Please shut up and let us enjoy ds wind of CHANGE. I smell another Orubebe here! |

crazysaint: THE LAST LAUGH - The Birth of The Father of Modern Nigeria Democracy! General Buhari contested elections three times before now and he lost. Blood were shed on the streets and lives were loss because of those defeats. Goodluck Jonathan had only lost once in an election he could had swayed in his favour, having all the machinery of the Commander-in-Chief at his disposal, yet hours to the official announcements of the final results he conceded victory and congratulated the man who always threw childish tantrum whenever he loses an election. Goodluck Jonathan is undoubtedly THE FATHER OF MODERN NIGERIA DEMOCRACY. He had shamed President Barack Obama and his uncouth Foreign Secretaries who had in more ways and in many fora than one embarrassed and insulted Nigeria on account of his signing of the Anti-Same Sex Marriage Bill into Law. He had shamed BBC, the propaganda mouthpiece of Britain's Life Dictator, Her Imperial Majesty the Queen, and indeed the United Kingdom and all those Nations who wished Africa nothing but ill. He had shamed the OLD and SELFISH crooks of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babagida, Ahmed Tinubu, and all their cohorts who had over the years been parasites on our collective till. He had shamed Governor Chibuike Amaechi who can NEVER ACHIEVE what Jonathan had accomplished. He had shamed General Buhari and taught him what a true democrat is. I SALUTE you sir. Boss13: The Igbo race is the architect of their own destruction. They have never been able to consolidate themselves politically. They think about the gains first rather than the mission. Little wonder they fight themselves like crazy. This election should be a lesson to them.
The Igbo race first needs to form a strong political party and pursue their relevance to the national level. This is the only way an Igbo President can emerge. First you must be relevant, then your allies would come join you to achieve your dreams.
We can see that the North is really relevant in the scheme of things politically. The South-west, thanks to the great Jagaban has proved that they cannot shut them out. The Igbos must build quietly and earn the trust of the Niger deltans, then merge with the North. They must select for themselves a national leader, who must not necessary pursue personal ambition but collective ambition of relevance. If they can do this, in 2019 or 2023 there will be an Igbo president. Forget it bro! The life of the average igbos is about money. Even the kinda politics they play is 'money politics' How on earth will you explain their suicidal decision to support GEJ @ their own detriment. Firstly, by supporting GEJ, they lost the VP, Senate president, and speakership seat. Secondly, APGA's forging an alliance with PDP broke the camel's back. Now, they are as good as been politically dead. because as it stands, Igbos have no party of their own. If one is deluding oneself dt doz 'so-called' positions ain't important, then such a person must have studied political science in Uganda. because in the Nigerian setting, politics is a game of 'POWER' i.e Who has what dictates what. Well, such a time like ds has occurred in the life of the westerners. What did we do? We didn't play the blame game, neither did we settle for crumbs(Jonathan's support of Mulikat Akande for speakership is a political crumb cos the Notherners would have impeached her easily). Our Asiwaju simply restrategized by forming an alliance with the North. Already, they were bitter that their own 8yrs tenure wasn't completed by Yar'adua. Forgive my disjointed explanation if it seems vague, I'm not a good narrator, I only studied in Lesotho. |
