obi4eze:True...but power ONLY to the extent that the Lord God has given/allowed him. Even he, the enemy has a limit to how far he can go. His future is already etched in stone....and the only one who can change that is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel. |
I think there's a wise way to minister to a non-believer without developing a close/tight knit relationship. The purpose for which a believer hangs around a non-believer is to live a genuine life that is vastly different....to the point that the unbeliever inquires about the difference....hence an opening to introduce Christ. However, depending on the situations, this takes time and the Holy Spirit's guidance. The goal would be to see a soul surrendered to Christ. Psalm 1:1 (KJV) states, " Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat if the scornful." What people term spiritual/religious "discrimination" isn't necessarily the case at times. It's a matter of obedience to God's Word. Two different belief systems cannot mix. There really can be no genuine peace when folks don't fundamentally believe in the same thing. Sure, other topics can be discussed, but if one person truly does not believe in God, then how comfortable would he/she be in someone who lives a life daily where praying at any given moment--if needs be, or delightfully speaking about, thanking or praising the Lord multiple times a day, or singing/humming hymns or gospel songs etc.? Cause to a sincere believer, those above things are normal--a way of life. What people believe is an innocent friendship, partnership, marriage etc., between a believer and a non-believer, can actually do harm. Spiritually, it's dangerous. When belief systems differ, each person will live how he/she believes....and soon they will clash and combust. Amos 3:3 (KJV) states, "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" If there are situations where two different belief systems exist (whatever they may consist of-and there's this sense of alleged "peace" , then one can bet that someone in the association--meaning ANY type of relationship-- has compromised, surrendered or suffered in silence unable to live their true beliefs. How much greater and more peaceful would it be if people didn't have the tension, frustration, resentment or stress....around fundamental beliefs? |
Absolutely.....so much is in there when one gets into the nooks and crannies.... ![]() |
Righteousness2:Sir, No disrespect meant, but I am more than willing to bet that the lizard was just that: a lizard...her pet of choice. It wasn't sent on a mission to get info about the guy and then destroy him ![]() Many, many Caucasian people absolutely adore (and borderline worship) animals more than humans here. It is by no means unusual for one to own a lizard as a pet. Horses, dogs, cats, lizards, chickens, snakes, gerbils fish, rabbits, etc., It's just an extreme love for animals....98 percent of the time. Practically any creature that one can afford to buy and rear, I can guarantee has one. I'm not saying that it's wise in every case...you do have extreme, bizarre cases. As a Christian for some decades now, and what I have been exhausting my words on this site for about 7 yrs or so, is about this Nigerian brand of Christianity--- You guys mix superstition/culture in with the pure Word of God....there hence is the problem. They cannot mix. Culture is culture, but the Word is the Word. Umm, I respect your opinion regarding principalities here in the U.S., but I wholeheartedly disagree about more here than there. We definitely have some heavy spiritual wickedness in high places...no doubt. We look like child's play compared to Naija though. You've just proven my point when you say that a lizard was sent on a mission to destroy a guy....... Other examples: a child being a witch, a woman turning into a bat, a cat staring through a window is a demon, a cricket on the floor....and the piece de' resistance: a spirit having sexual relations with a human. I have never, ever seen these types of things in my life. I could go on and on... It's a challenge to "un-learn" wrong beliefs and then "re-learn" truth, but it can be done to a humble and willing person. You are definitely correct about your last comment though. Be blessed. |
MrPRevailer, I more than understand....believe me. |
FarmTech:Never say never.... Well, we "can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us," Phillipians 4:13. You CAN, but you just do NOT want to...lol. Trust me I get it. I think it's more of understanding the benefits of healthier options and then being willing to surrender other less healthy things that one loves and craves so much...especially when those "unheslthy" things are so readily available. Thus the reason I was transparent about my struggles... I just sometimes "want what I want"...and go and get it (being in a country where things are easily accessible)....only to beat myself up later knowing I should not have yielded to temptation. Never thought I would let go of meat.....but by His grace. I'll conquer this "vegan" battle finally--by His grace also ![]() |
FarmTech:You are correct. An innumerable amount of nutrients come from plants, nuts, seeds and grain though. I know "plant-based" may be weird or unheard of for many Nigerians....especially if meat is the desire. I get it. Who doesn't love meat? I'm just saying this for those who may be curious... Permanent veganism has been my goal for a number of years now....i would label myself moreso of a vegetarian. There was a time where I was super strict about eliminating dairy...in addition to meat. The meat is not the issue for me. Certain "junk foods" are a struggle also and my carb of choice: white rice. The struggle is very real though to permanently eliminate dairy from my diet. |
CC: Bobmaintain-read below. P.S. The baby is so beautiful...and so bubbly and happy with her little 'fro! I "liked" it. Eviana: |
Artorius:Beautifully stated..... |
I cannot believe (as a woman) that I read this! I was expecting the usual Nigerian "spirit spouse" reason for delay, and was gonna pass this thread, but this was actually hilarious. The way in which it was written was genius. Although, this piece is based on actual Nigerian religious beliefs--from what I've read over my years here, I'd rather read this and smile than read pieces that evoke anger, frustration and sadness etc,. |
My advice to folks: stop eating meat period. The best way to go.....plant based foods. Nigerians, please be extremely careful with GMO.... You guys need to be extremely careful. P.S. MONSANTO Be blessed... |
FarmTech:I'm not? Really Mr. Farm Tech? You know something about my absence, return or permanent absence that I do not? You are quite powerful sir.....lol. All is well. I'm blessed and doing well. I take sabbaticals away from this lovely site....months at a time. I have done this a few times before....even stayed away for around 7 months one time. Anyhow, I must step away. For my sanity's sake. Mental, verbal, emotional, psychological and spiritual abuses are too much to endure day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. No one should think that it's either normal or healthy to operate like that. Remember though, even if I no longer comment, or fail to come to the site as a guest, my threads and comments are forever here...hopefully blessing someone in one way or another. I'm chained here forever (which the Lord ultimately knows why) and I've finally made peace with it. Hope you are well also. Be blessed ![]() |
vdestro:Wow, This my comment from back in 2020..... It tickles me how old threads (where I am mentioned) suddenly reappear...lol. Anyhow, I was really trying to go in a different direction in regards to prophecy....in the book of Revelation. At the bolded, well....sighs.....umm... I have to respect your "right" to believe as you so desire.... Be blessed... ![]() |
FarmTech:My "no-nonsense/trouble" attitude...lol. Not trying to be rude, or nasty. You know it sometimes becomes necessary to use wisdom when deciding to engage in certain things and other things not so much. He absolutely knows that the God of Abraham gives mankind nothing but "free-will" based out of nothing but pure love. Mr. Phoenix just wants to be an agitator. So it then becomes my decision on how I want to respond. He's on my prayer list though....as well as for individual hearts of Nigerians to surrender & return to the Lord. You will make a difference, the Lord willing, if you honor and keep Him first. |
CallmeTrinity: If you study my profile, posts, etc., you'll easily get the answer.... Not to be rude, but I don't want to further derail the thread and make this about me...so no more questions please. Was just noticing a disturbing theme for my almost 7 yrs of membership...which bothers me tremendously. Hatred towards black-skinned people for no real reason other than religion and tribe by other black-skinned people, is something I will never, ever understand or respect. You take care-- |
Answer to this question: YES Now the question needs to be reversed to if "whites" and "blacks" honor and serve the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel? Not everyone does and still a society may thrive. However, that doesn't negate the fact that God requires a loving surrender and obedience. How much more would he bless a people who.honor Him. Anyhow, we've all been given the option "free-will". It's up to each individual to exercise that option. |
CallmeTrinity:One half of my parents-- my dad-- is Igbo....so "yes" I am Igbo. |
I am 1000 percent convinced that there's something extremely special about Igbo people... ![]() No way can hatred be this extreme if it wasn't. Have a beautiful and blessed week folks ![]() |
Just want to add my 2 cents to the poster above--who is correct in what he said. It's quite simple when one really thinks about it. The people that truly want to be in the Kingdom-will be in the Kingdom. The people who didn't truly want to be there will NOT be there...for it would be torture for them. Everyone will have already exercised their "free-will" in deciding to have surrendered to Christ or NOT. Those people here on earth preparing for eternity are trying to live their daily lives as if they 100 percent without a doubt want to be reunited with the Father one day. Their minds are fixed on Heaven and heavenly things. Exercising free-will won't be an issue, nor point of contention nor a burden because living eternally with The Almighty Creator will be as natural as the air one breathes. I'm sure folks won't be robots. Just as the angels who were NOT deceived by lucifer, serve the Lord gladly and willingly, so will those whose names are written in the book of life, gladly enjoy worshiping the Father and enjoying eternal life. Relationship with Him restored... Those who live eternally will never have to be "tested" in the sense of exercising their "free-will" as Adam & Eve did by eating the forbidden fruit and causing sin to bloom. Sin will never, ever, ever rise again...praise God. It is forever defeated through Christ' life--showing sinners the correct way of life, death-- to carry the sins of the world--and resurrection--victory over sin so that it would never occur again--the purpose for which Christ came-- Revelation 21:4 (KJV) "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." So the option of "free-will" (in the sense that I talked about) won't be necessary in an unpolluted, sin-less, world. Revelation 22:1-5 (KJV) also gives more insight. Reading the entire book of Revelation would be helpful, but in terms of the end-times,Revelation Chapters 13-22 would be the chapters to prayerfully study. |
annyplenty:Amen-all praise belongs to Him. Interestingly enough, I also personally needed my own reminder post. May God bless you as well. |
castro2468:This is the most honest/factual answer...according to my research of history. |
Halopy:Wow? Like I thought the same thing! Calling names straight away and at his elderly age? I'm unbelievably amazed a presidential-elect would actually speak like that? Like, I'm seriously shocked/flabberghasted! No joke... Not a good look from the outside world looking in. |
Be Encouraged..... Eviana: |
Pascal9:And the same God of Abraham gives mankind "FREE-WILL". No, Mr. Obi has not. Not at all. No man-- be it Mr. Obi, Mr. Abubakar, or Mr. Tinubu-- can do anything except God has allowed it. They are all mere mortals and do NOT have the ultimate final say on anything--contrary to popular belief. You don't know how God is gonna work any of this out--so please calm down. Sir, with all due respect, you've truly "lost your marbles". You are out of control-- you seem like you've gone off the deep end....and I'm worried. You have allowed another spirit to operate in you and it's not the Holy Spirit. Please calm down.. You're acting maniacal, creating new threads trying to incite anger, sadness, regret and violence etc., amongst Igbos. You need to be careful.... Sir, I don't even live there--nor ever have-- and can see what you're doing. Please calm down. You are gonna have a heart attack or stroke and be paralyzed...or worse lose your voice and die. God forbid-- You really need to drink some fresh water, pray and lie down. You're letting satan use you....you are way too hyped up. LET....IT....GO I repeat- LET...IT...GO If Igbos are doomed for the next 8-16 years, then let them be. They are God's responsibilty and not yours. They are HIS people--not yours. What you sir--a mere mortal being--are doing is destructive, counterproductive and extremely wicked. You gonna rant, rave, and berate folks online who voted on an election that's already occurred? Are you ok? I'm dead serious too. You do also have an option: LEAVE NIGERIA ASAP! Get a visitor visa, educational visa or something. I'm not gonna suggest K1-visa....cause I don't believe in romance scams... Hustle legally and GET OUT since you are so spooked! Sir stop the drama: you are NOT an Igbo. Stop worrying and start praying. |
EastAlchemist:Well....um, I'll have to re-read all of it. Trying to understand it all. You were engrossed in a convo with her--the other moniker, so I left the thread... It looks like you've gone into a deeper thought process sort of thing. I just didn't want you to mock the Lord's words-- that's all. I appreciate your reply. |
FarmTech:Do those laws work? Are they enforced? You have some very popular influencers being celebrated... |
Pascal9:I hope you believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel....cause I do. No one man can do anything greater than God can. Anything anyone does, is because he/she is allowed to do so, by the Creator. Not convinced you are Igbo....sorry. |
FarmTech:Lol...India? Actually he has a throne over in a specific city over there too. I love how you are defending your country...as you should when necessary. But yep, right there in Nigeria sits satan's throne. I defend my country when necessary, but I also rebuke it too when it's wrong. My birth country has been super duper wrong for centuries... Satan's throne, in fact, in North America is in the U.S.for sure...Hollywood, California. His main headquarters is in the U.S. But he has specfic countries where his throne sits tall. Now I didn't say exactly which state/city in Nigeria that satan's throne is in.... ![]() LGBTQIA+ has surely creeped on over to Nigeria right? The U.S. sets the standard for the rest of the world, so yes, tons of blood is on its hands... We are in the end times and the U.S. will play a heavy role in prophecy..which I won't get into here at the moment. |
Pascal9:No way sir... You're Igbo sounding like that?? You know every Igbo's character? I like Igbo people's charcters--the ones I know. There's a better way to speak to our fellow Igbos rather than sounding like a mafia boss...just sayin. Like you were gonna kill them and throw their bodies in the water for the fishes to eat.. I was getting a little scared. They had every right to vote for who they believed in, prayed for or were convicted to vote for....and hopefully wisdom was used in doing so. I know this is not what Nigeria is used to--but you don't get to force someone's conscience--through threat, violence or even death and think that ALL will comply. You don't get to force your strategy on others....or make someone feel guilty or horrible because they chose for themselves...regardless of your opinion. Calling names doesn't do a thing, but incite violence. There exist lots of foolish people in ALL tribes there in Nigeria...a lot of whom I read their posts daily. Appreciate your reply...but want you to calm down and not harm anyone. |
EastAlchemist:Huh?? What did you just write sir? |
