50calibre: Lol I don't blame you or the others attacking me. You guys are probably too stu*pid and so used to uncaring leaders to know that there are certain standards of behaviour totally unacceptable from a leader whose country is in crises.

That picture right there, shows a complete lack of empathy with the large number of people losing their lives everyday in Nigeria. It's unfortunate not all can see it.
So wht do you expect of him, crying or frowning his face.Abeg get a live dude and make sure you adequately assimilate a topic b4 you start disgracing yourself. It was an event the president was expected to grace. Will you say because of the insecurity in certain parts of the country, then the whole country should grind to a halt.

Orikinla: . There is an Association of Nollywood Opportunists and Sycophants (ANOS) and the members prefer licking the buttocks of governors, ministers and presidents to making movies. When was the last time you saw Emeka Ike in movies compared to the hard working Desmond Elliot? The best thing President Goodluck Jonathan has done for Nollywood is actually an initiative of the World Bank to boost the creative industry in Nigeria. Many Nollywood opportunists have ripped off ignorant jobless youths they claim they want to train for the film industry. Real film classes at the film schools in the U.S and UK have between 25 and 50 students per class, but the Nollywood opportunists here pack from 100 -400 students in a class and then claim they have trained over 4000 Nigerians in film making, but how many of them can compare and compete with the students trained in the U.S and the UK? The only Nigerian who has qualified for the Students Academy Awards in the U.S came from the Nigerian film institute that also produced Mak Kusare whose film "Champions of Our Time" beat Kunle Afolayan's "The Figurine" at FESPACO in 2009 to win two coveted awatds in the TV/Video category and the same institute produced Kenneth Gyang whose movies won three best awards at the 2013 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), including the Best Nigerian Movie and overall Best Film awards. None came from the get-rich quick film schools of these Nollywood opportunists whose B-rated movies cannot even compete at the Cannes, Venice and other international film festivals and awards where film makers from other African countries competed against the best from America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East and have even won the highly coveted awards.

Popular actor Emeka Ike was made a sports ambassador at the Rhythm 'N' Play event that held yesterday June 6th at the Velodrome of the Abuja National Stadium.

Rhythm N’ Play is an initiative of the Nigeria Academicals Sports Committee (NASCOM), which was inaugurated by the Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, late last year. The campaign is aimed at enhancing mass youth participation in sporting activities in Nigeria.

President Jonathan launched the inaugural campaign yesterday, where some celebrities were made ambassadors. Emeka Ike's job is to help promote grassroots sport in the country. Ice Prince and Victor Moses were also made ambassadors.
This is just another exercise in futility. which sports sector are you talking about. what investments as the FG made in grassroot sports devt and the little that accrues to that sector gets embezzled by those entrusted to manage them the minister inclusive.

Why should i waste my time going about sweating for a country that does not care about my welfare. All the big talents we hav heard are self made. These people put in personal sacrifices with little or no suport from the govt in nigeria. In case you have bin living under a rock. This is Naija and all you need do is take a trip to various sports complexes and see talents wasting away just because thy do not have adequate welfare.1/10th of the billions being stolen by politicians would have gainfully employed millions in this sector.

This govt shuld not come and cow us into blivng thy are doing anything positive for sports. Its the same story over and over. Its 3 years of GEJ and we have not seen any fresh air or transformation in sports. This is just anoda purposeless jamboree by our very purposeless FG led by the very clueless GEJ.

Those who live in glas houses dont throw stones. Sanusi's powerful enemies are fighing back. The former bank CEOs,national assembly members and all other toes he must have stepped on.

Back to the issue. Sanusi has not come out to refute the allegations of having something beyond official business with this woman. This is gross abuse of office and negates appropriate code of conduct.
PoliticsRe: Oyo Hasnt Borrowed Money In 2 Years – Ajimobi by ewet: 6:20pm On Jun 08, 2013
Gbawe: Impressive fiscal management and plans. No surprise though given the pedigree of Ajimobi. Personally, I think the current crop of ACN Governors have the potentials to achive more than Fashola has. This will not be because they are better administrators but due to the fact that they have far less challenges to deal with than the Lagos governors.

Laudably, the ACN has recognised that proactively securing the funds for State development without depending on federal allocation alone will move things along much quicker.
I beg to differ on your comparism btw BRF and the other ACN govs.If we shuld truly and sincerely access BRF.Lagos is not yet where it shuld be in terms of insfrastructural devt,it is however not out of place to know that Lagos is on the path to that eldorado we all seek.

I rather i opine that BRF has been able to set the standards for devt and good governance and all the other ACN govs should be urged on to do better than BRF rather than comparing themselves.
PoliticsRe: Oyo Hasnt Borrowed Money In 2 Years – Ajimobi by ewet: 6:10pm On Jun 08, 2013
He will need to borrow for capital project financing at some point as no govt can do much by justdepending on fed allocation and IGR which is obviously to meager to have any impact. But i will like to trust that it will be done with due diligence fiscal responsibility.

This is Mr. Momodu's personal view and we shuld not waste energy debating what he as said like it's authority over what will happen in 2015. Its his personal view and it should remain as that. However just because you dont agree with him does't mean his treatise isn't erudite enuf.

HolyTruth: May our good God grant common sense and wisdom to these set of Nigerian leaders.

The last time I checked, democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Why would OBJ detect, nominate, impose or rig in a Governor for the people of Jigawa? And even have the guts to openly announce it...congratulating him and himself as per being "the god" of the people of Jigawa.

This is an insult to the people of Jigawa...this is a let down and injustice. A show of shame!
I think he is bin quoted out of context. there is no way he could have forced the gov on the people afterall there was an election but he could have being able to heavily influence is nomination at the party caucus level.
I think that wht he met!
PoliticsRe: Jesse Jackson Commends Jonathan’s Transparency by ewet: 10:06am On May 30, 2013
Mr. Jackson yes trully our democracy is growing i must tell you thats all to it. Nigeria is teethering on the brink of destruction and our govt seems helpless in salvaging it.

We are hungry,thirsty,jobless,insecured,no electricity,good roads,education is comatose,the health system is a lacuna.
Corruption is still very much in govt and it is becoming more dearing by the day. please tell your host GEj that we are totally displeased with is govt and he as totaly reneged on his promise to Nigerians.

And please dont forget to donate a share of whatever patronage you are enjoying from this govt to charity.

Blueboy0402: Fashakin or whatever you call yourself, you can only deceive gullible people with the jagon you just spewed. You are a praise singer just as Abati; you are an image maker just as Abati and you are protecting the interest of your principal just as Abati.
Inasmuch as GEJ is still Mr President, you will continue to be on the other side of the divide while Abati will continue to protect his principal. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO QED! Politics is all about interest. Wait for your turn (ie if you guys will ever get there).
Did GEJ fulfil what he told us he was goin to do in Addis-ababa or not?
PoliticsRe: CPC's Fashakin Replies Reuben Abati by ewet: 10:53pm On May 29, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: “As a Party, we really sympathize with Abati.."- Fashakin

No sir. You should rather sympathize with yourself. Abati is giving you a dose of your own medicine since that is the only language you and your gang understand.

Abati has laid the facts bare. It was Nigeria that indicated interest to speak and the foreign affairs minister presented the country's position on behalf of the president. The president at that moment was attending to what he considered more pressing issues.

If the Fashakin and his e-warriors think reading a speech was more important than what the president did on the sidelines, that is their cup of tea. If they ever manage to find themselves in Aso Rock, they can do it their own style. But for now, GEJ rules.

If not for pettiness and JOBLESSNESS, why should whether or not the president read a speech at the AU summit be an issue? Mr president must have delivered thousands of speech by now since assuming office. The latest, I think, was during his state visit to South Africa, when he received a standing and thunderous applause after addressing the South African parliament. Mr Fashakin and his e-warriors should take their frustrations, LIES, and propaganda elsewhere
You must equally be drunk as your paymasters or you shuld be excused as being dumb as the retardeen we have as president.

What did GEJ live Nigeria for to do in Addis-ababa ?

Why will he be holding a meeting on a proposed regional project tht well falls within the ambit of the ECOWAS?

If Nigeria had not been accepted to make a speech would there have bin any rancour whatsoever?

Instead of the presidency simply apologising for this bleep,Abati is busy insulting our sensibilities like he is the only one who can handle a paper and a pen.

This is another low for GEJ and i hope he is getting ready to pack his bags come 2015.
PoliticsRe: Lamido-Amaechi’s Campaign Posters Flood Abuja by ewet: 10:36pm On May 29, 2013
I hate when our politicians will always play us for fools. If amaechi who will all know is aspiring for anoda political position will come out and brazenly lie btw his teeth tht he is not. then he is not capable of leading this country.

Our politicians need to be steadfast with their ambitions and come out to tell us what their ideological leanings are. Why shuld i break a sweat over some1 who i feel shuld give GEJ a run for his money but he is so scared to declare his intentions.

If amaechi can say he is not interested then i can also tell him to 4get it,we will definitely look for som1else.

19 people voted Amaechi,18 govs showed up at jangs side.We need to knw who the double face, double speak politicians are.We cannot continue to hide behind 1 finger and keep deceiving our selves. this is the time for each gov to stand up and be counted.

PoliticsRe: Jang Opens New NGF Secretariat by ewet: 10:01pm On May 28, 2013
gtrust: Stop noise!
Jang was selected to be Chairman of the governors' forum.
That is the way it has always been.
He never contested and there has never been a time when people contested by secret ballot in a peer relationship.

You have to open support: in words and in deeds!

People just set up Amaechi for destruction and I wonder why Amaechi has not realised this.
Just like a foolish rich boy who has many friends but when the money finish....

It's a peer relationship my friend and the chairman does not direct other governors on how to govern their states so why electionhuh for whathuh

Do you not belong to a peer relationship at your work placehuh
It's an amicable thing, full of fun and no back-biting. it's for support and not for humiliation.
Are you really telling me tht you actually bought tht peer review forum nonsense. The NGF is a political forum and you shuld knw that since after obj the govs have produced 2 presidents amongst themselves. The NGF is actually where you will and deal if you want to become president.

If the NGF was just a jamboree like you stated then why is the presidency or the PDP or even nigerians so concerned in recent times about what is goin on there?
PoliticsRe: Jang Opens New NGF Secretariat by ewet: 9:53pm On May 28, 2013
slimghost: And your point is? Its obvious you have comprehension problem. Am not disputing the validity of the election exercise, all i asked was "how did Amaechi become the NGF chairman in the first place?" but i guess you cant answer that. FYI, dude came there as a consensus candidate as no election was held (the constitution they adopted had no room for elections). But guess what, the power drunk fool rushed and amended the constitution giving room for elections and re-election without the consent of all the governors. Truth is, he came as a consensus candidate and now Jang is the NGF chairman as a consensus candidate too. Let him deal with it. One problem i have with you is that you always let your hatred for GEJ becloud your sense of reasoning.
And which is the better option-consensus candidate or elected candidate?
PoliticsRe: Jang Opens New NGF Secretariat by ewet: 9:51pm On May 28, 2013
gregg2: Governors Forum never had a permanent secretariat. When saraki was Chairman, he used the Kwara lodge. Amaechi has been using the Rivers state lodge since he became chairman. If Jang is acquiring a permanent secretariat for the forum, it's a welcome development. Our press are bias and will not tell Nigerians the whole truth.
Isnt the NGF meant to just be an informal association of govs,And where will the funding for this suppossed club of 36 wisemen come from?.Do you knw hw much is involved in the logistics and operations of a new secretariat.Guy wake up all this will not augur well for all of us at the end

Mr.Gov,
What have you done in your time as governor to better the lot of these unfortunate children.why do you need the visit of a senate commitee to air your views on this matter. You shuld come up with a programme for your state to help salvage the situation and not just opening your big mouth condemning some1elses views.

Its awfully wrong when politicians are just about talk talk and no action and this man wants to be president of this country. This is a man more reputed for his talkative skills thn ability to solve problems. I think he still has alot of work to do to convince us
