Please dont drag the president into this.The issue is simple enuf and all it requires is tht the State House of assembly should apply the contitution to solve this.

If i recall correctly. This guy has bin incapacitated for over 6 months and these PDP people have bin deceiving themselves over is supposed ability to continue to govern the state.

Do we need the PDP to decide wheter a man incapacitated or not shuld govern a state.Dont we have constitutional provisions to take care of this without much rancour.

An active gov who is on his two feet and very much alive gets suspended jut because he is not in the good books of the party hierachy and the one that has bin brain dead for over 6 months is enjoying all manner of protection just because he is in the party's good books.

GAR3TH: As good as this news is its doesn't solve any of the real problems that the police college has.

You can continue to paint the buildings with a new coat of paint, replace the roofs and plant flowers but who is to say in one year we will be back to were we were before, with another degraded police college.

The main problem with the college was not the infrastructure but rather the incompetent college administration leaders who were suppose to keep the college from degrading and failed.

Why are they all still in their positions after failing to live up to their responsibilities. Renovation of the college is good and I appreciate it but I do not like that the people who caused this did not get charged or fired.

Only in Nigeria will a gun be charged with murder while the killer walks away free.

We do surely live in a "Banana Republic" when it comes to property issues in Lagos. In a sane society, government ought to publish No-Go-Areas when it comes to land acquisition - but here in Lagos, can you show me a master plan or any related publication?
Before you start saying someone didn't go to school as you have, please buy a land in Lekki and add cost of foreseen litigation to the price of the land as contingent liability and put it away in one bank on 10years fixed deposit and come and tell us you've done something very intelligent.
Won't you rather want to see some transparency in the real estate industry whereby, even Nigerians resident abroad don't have to suffer pain of loss on their investment in real estate. Do i have to hire a "Lawyer" to conduct a property search for me at a fee when i as a Chartered Accountant and an equally lettered Nigerian should have easy privy to the same information as anyone else.
As a matter of fact, the people have been bold in opening up new areas before the government start coming up with one useless masterplan. A real masterplan should lead development where the government is a visionary one and not come after people have started developing the areas - that kind of plan is an "afterthoughtplan".

I am well aware there is an official govt gazette detailing lands under govt acquisitions,green belts e.t.c.all you need do is visit the lands bureau and you have this info first hand.You may be an acct but tht does not make you an expert in land matters.I dont live in the lekki-epe axis but i can list a few places of hand tht i am awre are no go areas.

We all knw there are unscrupulous elements who are always willing to hoodwink any client tht falls into there hands but you can as well do your own proper investigation by approaching the appropriate govt agencies such as buereau of lands,town planning agency,office of the surveyor general of the state,bureau of records and archives e.t.c
