We don't want to hear from him anymore. He should sit there in his hspital room and reminisce about what difference he could have made by listening to the voice of wisdom that told him to slow down and accept what he was given and use it, through negotiations, to secure more
There are more than 30 million Nigerians that want to hear from him. If you don't want to hear, then the politics section has hundreds of Ojukwu-free threads. Apart from that, there's nothing you or anybody can do to remove the love for Ojukwu a nation of 30 million individuals have, whether in light or dark. That should be all. Finecat:Biafra or Ojukwu's name isn't going anywhere and will continue to scare you people into knee-jerk reactions till Nigeria ends and beyond. People that never fought for anything usually have the loudest mouths that get them and their offspring killed all around the world. |
Abagworo:Agreed. We'd probably be left with monarchs we can count on our fingers on one hand for the Igbo east of the Niger. |
9jaganja:That's the whole point. It is the colonisation, modernisation and the resultant bastardization and modification of Igbo culture that makes it possible for there to be 600 "traditional rulers" in Imo, a state that is traditionally the least centralised in the whole of Africa. These traditional rulers provide nothing for the communities apart from offering a single voice to government, and other administrative duties that were easily done by Igbo elders for centuries. You have to understand that in a state such as Imo, most of these 'monarchs' are the first of their kind in their communities, and the titles are bought with money, nothing like a hereditary monarchy in most of Igboland, especially in Imo. None of these "monarchs" have a say in a traditional courts in their communities anyway where every Diala's vote is equal, from the poor farmer to the rich "monarch" that bought his mock Bini crown in town. |
And this thread is supposed to carry on like 90% of Ojukwu threads, where insecure people vomit out the same lines they heard from their father over and over again like some broken records? If you're scared of him, its best leaving yourself out of these threads because the admiration from the people he supposedly led to death hasn't been vanished much by nairalands efforts, has it? |
Imo state communities do not rely on the "traditional rulers" for anything apart from disputes, which used to be settled by the community, and other decisions, which have, and will be made by the community anyway. Most of these "traditional rulers" can disappear and nothing will happen. Most of these monarchies probably didn't even exist in the 80s. 600 rulers, are you kidding? In Imo? |
Ugh, this thread is about Col Ojukwu. I'm pretty sure the nature, wildlife, travel, whatever section is there to discuss wildlife. |
odumchi:To torment ape bitches. ![]() |
Who's she telling? Muhaha. macjive01:But many of these "traditional rulers" aren't even. . . . . . "traditional"? Especially not in Imo state. |
Densely parked laces? Trololololol |
Yoruba people live in a few large cities, Igbo people live in densely packed compounds in densely packed villages that are linked side-by-side-by-side. I thought we've been through this. |
Koruji, you should stop replying to this garbage. Makes no sense.
Seems you people find out you're black once a white person is involved. koruji:Can't make decisions for yourself. Makes sense. |
koruji:Yes! And I'll say it again. A certain type of BLACK youth culture that glorifies getting money/possessions in whatever way possible. This is what can be seen in the US as well where BLACK people are killing themselves for a pair of sneakers. The slangs these BLACK youth use comes from BLACK youth culture, just like the slangs the BLACK youth use in London comes from patois in Jamaica. koruji:This doesn't make any sense, why should black people sit back and watch their kids go mad all over the world and tell themselves their culture is developing? koruji:That is EXACTLY what I'm condemning. The fact that they want to carry on as gangstas in a country that nearly makes it a law for the prime minister to breast feed each baby. They even get paid to go to secondary school, so what's the 'live they live'? koruji:Actually, you're the one who is clueless and careless enough not to admit your "race" is heading in the wrong direction. All this 'we've been carrying Europe on our back for 500 years' is tired, most of all from Africans. I never supported David Starkey saying the "whites are becoming black" but I agree that there's a certain type of urban youth culture from BLACK people that's bad for society. koruji:Most of the rioters in London were BLACK! Most of the areas that rioting started in were BLACK! The rioting started in a black neighbourhood because of the killing of a BLACK man! |
razznaija:They're dressed like Yoruba people and have white weddings? |
If you didn't reply I would have thought my mission failed, but you've fell for my trollolololol. ![]() |
Eko Ile: Glad to have nothing to do with this legacy ^^^. I can set a chimpanzee to deform you, it doesn't mean that the chimpanzee race has won any battles against humans. That's like Togo claiming victory over the kingdom of Benin. Hee hee hee hee hee. |
are yorubas up to 1000 sef outside yorubaland.
That must mean that all the recent crisis that was tearing the north apart has finished your diaspora, oh well, too bad you can't spread out an multiply. Hilarious people. |
koruji:The point is the UK is not a black country, and London isn't even majority black, but the majority of the people looting were black. The blame on "black culture" may be wrong, but a certain kind of criminal-glorifying black youth culture seems to have become the trend amongst youths around the world and it is definitely partly to blame for these riots, look at the stores that were worst hit, sports wear and 'street fashion' stores. The other problem is with the parents of these children. Naming all the bad things white people did in ancient times isn't relevant to the issues of black people. |
koruji:That doesn't make it right for black parents to let their children go rabid in a white country. |
Abagworo:Hah! I thought it was because they couldn't be bothered/don't want their children to speak bush talk. Anyway, when the teachers read out the Okoros surname in the classrooms everyone will know who they are. |
I heard Nigerian languages (you know the languages, didn't say the name just incase). |
Finecat:People who have never fought for anything. |
A good day indeed. |
It's a good day when Eko Ile is pissed. Means the south east is doing something right. |
I don't think this had anything with the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeriastan, so your opinions can be held to yourself. |
Central Igbo is taught in Owa. Too late. So there's no need in anyone busting their brains because of this issue. |
freepeople:Umuahia. |
