GetGuide: my questions isThen he will no longer be your problem and irritant anymore but Biafra alone, if he is to become a Biafran. Keeping Nigeria one, hoping that one day, for some reason, they will start to love each other in order to progress is not an option. |
Orlando Owoh: Mr man, I've lived in an Ijaw village. So I know what I'm saying. Ijaw people, and Niger Delta as a whole, should start asking their people questions. Until you realize that Dokubo, Tompolo and their likes, not all Niger Deltans, are now comfortable as against the past, you will realize the problem these people are in. How do we describe the situation where those that were never militants benefitted from "generals" given slots to compile lists of ex militants. How can they ask Dokubo question or him answering when they never elected him into any office, on what basis? |
PocketEconomist: I don't want to generalise, but it seems to me that most Africans are lazy. nothing is done properly. The Cyber cafe i'm typing from has network issues, but the attendants don't give a Bleep, the mechanic does trial and error, some teachers are still teaching that there are 54 countries in Africa, a computer scientist cannot write programs properly, a chemistry graduate has never seen Hcl or chlorine in his life before, our scientists cannot produce things and the list is endless. Why are we like this? and we need to do something very urgent to reverse this. Why are we like this, you asked? Its because you the op is an African, if what you wrote above qualifies one as an African. Most Africans don't have dignity in labour would had been more appropriate than calling people that walk 8 miles to collect a bucket of drinking water on their head lazy. |
Tolexander: slave? So Atiku and Sambo are both slaves to OBJ and GEJ, and before he became a master, Jonathan was a slave to master Yar Adua? ![]() |
1MCN: Former Finance Minister, Adamu Ciroma and his colleagues said worse things in 2010 and after the elections they managed to kill some innocent corps members (and others) whose blood is still costing the entire north a huge toll up to this moment and the end isn't even still in sight.I am sure both future corpers and their parents has learn a lesson never to be used by brothers of Adamu Ciroma to rig election for a southerner whom the bigoted northern masses don't even know exist until they were told he won their majority vote. |
The Director General of Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement (PAAM). ![]() |
DerideGull: Yes, folks from Onanefe Ibori or Dokubo Asari ethnicities would defend them in the context of Nigeria and would have dealt ruthlessly with the characters if they had stolen from thinny Urhobo Republic or Ijo Republic which has meager resources and a burden to defend its borders from aggressive neighbors willing to crush them. Necessity, they say, brings the best out of a human.Good on you. That is a fact many tend to forget. As long as one Nigeria controlled from one source exist, every segment will always defend their own, irrespective, especially those theirs not use to high positions in the past. That's why I ask true Igbos why we don't often have chairmen of our powerful town union embezzling huge amount of our cash in their care, but tolerate or even encourage our sons and daughters in government to steal our collective wealth? |
HoldenCaulfield: We The People Of Arewa Are Now Begining To Be Fed Up With All This Threats Of Dividing The Nation, Gej! Organize The Conference Lets Break! Eat Your Oil, We Are Tired Of All This We Are Not Afraid Of It No More. Haba! Think Of All Of This Workers In Our Companies, Banks, Hospitals, And Other Government Agencies Are Going To Be Replaced By Our People. Think Of The Vast Agricultural Land God Bestowed Onto Us, Think Of The All Those Mineral Deposits We Have Here In Arewa. And Who Told You That There Is No Oil In Arewa? Take Nijer Republic For Instance, We Now Mostly Use There Petrolem Products Here In Kano, Aren't The Largest Oil Fields Found In Desert Areas Of This World, Almost Every State Here In The North Has Different Resource That A Whole Country Can Stand On. We Are Saying It Boldly LETS BREAK AND SEE WHO WILL STARVE. Gej We Want You To Hold The Conference With The Every Intention Of Dividing This Country, And Make It Soon! Now, that's a proper way to go. You wished that your leaders and their elite thinks like you. But unfortunately, they are so drunk on Southern crude oil, that they will even kill you for just saying this to them. Even if you don't have oil, your agro based economy can feed you and feed those with so called oil, because on sundays, their mrs will not fry the stew with crude oil but your onions, then you can sit back and tell them the price. |
alienware: what is this one saying ? All the resources found within Nigerian belongs to each an everyone of us.The same way you share your monthly salary with your brothers and sisters, don't even mention your entire village. |
informatix: Dokubo Asari you are a Muslim from christian background I have alot of respect for your Bravery. Christians are not persecuted in the North the northern Christians doesn't need you to rescue Them. Why didn't u built your university in riyom and make study free for northern Christians. What we need is unity not division. You can go and have your Nigerdelta republic.Am sure his building a private University is to make money and not a charity, hence he will choose were he will get the best return for his investment without much competition, unlike in.Nigeria where every village seems to have a university at the moment. |
tensor777: I take your point about the reactions. But the thing is this guy lacks so much self-awareness that he does not know just how hated he is for his criminal past and even his treasonable activities in South Africa and Benin Republic.I don't like him more than you do. But not everyone is blessed with coherent view and having read about this guy for a while now, you and I well know that his best talent isn't in that regard, but we knew exactly what he is getting at and that's what matters. Don't expect him to reason like Wole Soyinka before you take gems out of his garbage bag. |
Orlando Owoh: Have you asked yourself what these people do with their allocation? I served in an Ijaw community where I saw poverty occasioned mainly by the greed of some privileged ones who appropriated what the whole community is supposed to enjoy. The Niger Deltan of which I happen to be one, though Itsekiri, should start asking their leaders questions. Asari Dokubo has built a university and has chains of businesses and houses, who has asked him how he got the money. Tompolo has a maritime school. I was in Kiagbodo, Burutu LGA, Delta State, and I saw the structures of the university Edwin Kiagbodo Clark was erecting. How did he come about the money in his 80s?So what is the difference between the likes of Mike Aikigbe, Magnus Abe of this world and Mr Dokubo with their wealths? Why is the type of stolen wealth by him different from those in govt either in khaki or agbada? Comparing tribal criminals or making some more acceptable than others is what the problem is. Most People who claimed to hate him are not Ijaw, which is the main reason for you to champion his idea of separation, so that you will never had to tolerate him and his life in your own Dokubo free new nation ever again. He will then be a problem only to his Ijaw nation or which ever. |
It's interesting how the topic and content of This thread differs totally from the reaction of most of it's readers. The real issue on this thread is not about the character of Mr Dokubo, size of his belly, the amount of cassava he consumed, the length of his beard or his faith. It rather simple, he wants Nigeria to go their separate ways and little bits about his choice of investment in Benin and his jail experience there. But in a typical Nigerian fashion, the news that the cathedral has burned down doesn't matter or interest them, but rather, whether the fire burnt the beard of the resident priest. |
Wasn't that meant to be Chibuike Amaechi or is it a misprint? |
Bishop Magic: Yes a docile virus can be effective in attaining immunity as in immunization.I appreciate that you take your biology very seriously, but this particular virus has no single history of such an antidote status. If he does, prove me wrong. |
Bishop Magic: And how about Tinubu who rode on the NADECO train and then hopped on the AD airliner to power only to destroy all the ideals and structures that made him who he is.We are talking about Tukur, not Tinubu. I don't do the usual Nigerian past time of comparing criminals. If you like, start another thread on Tinubu, this is about Tukur. |
After reading the comments here, I have come to realize that the posters opposing Ekweremadu did not read or understand the article. If you read it, you will see that he has a valid point. He presented a common sense solution to the perpetual non-ending election atmosphere that has plagued our democracy and lazy minded folks are busy throwing insults for petty reasons.
So elections are now considered tiring and a plague, after many years of dying for it? Even when nation have been having it for centuries? My word! ![]() |
emmyoha87: In 2011 GEJ permitted a free and fair election and by allowing the then ACN win more state raised more enemies for himself and his party,so now he can't afford to play safe anymore(That's why Anambra went the way it did).I thought you guys said that he is popular with the masses. If he is why would him winning a free election cause violence among the same masses? Some of you including Ekwerenmadu and Jonathan really think that we were born yesterday. Why not the doctrine of everyone to his tent? Then if he like he can rule Ijaw republic for a thousand years and his opponents too. |
classicEntity: A single tenure of 6 or 7 years is good idea for Nigeria, it will calm the current ethnic tensions and awareness and also reduce post election violence and INEC expenses. In countries where proper democracy is practised, another name for a single 7 years of one person in power is dictatorship. |
ojofu: PDP don lose this one. Waiting for dia own reaction.I am sure PDP got something off their sleeves, no chance they will lie down and allow their opponent take back the moral high ground on this one. They fly her to Abuja to stay at Aso Rock for a week at least with her fellow widow (madam Patience), after which a car and a house near the villa for her to crown it. A good time to become a widow in Nigeria, this panning out to be. |
Since Oshiomhole is a widower and the woman a widow, I hereby suggest that both should get married ASAP. Click like if you are in support of this proposal.
I use to think, that you marry people because you love them or at least like or fancy them not knowing it being a widow/widower like them. You learn new trick every day. |
Is that the 'poor' widow's apartment?
![]() Next time you have money issues in Nigeria, pray to Amadioha to push some Oga to tell you, to go and die. With 2 mirrion under the pillow case, she won't be a window this time next week, as men fall over themselves with kegs of palm wine for a marriage proposal. |
Nashville: How do people have the heart to go thank God, when you obviously cheated your way to victory. I know most Nigerian politicians rig elections and the best "rigger" is declared the winner, but please let's leave God out of this as this is the height of mockery. To an average Nigerian, from a street urchin to the big man at the top, the will of God means their wishes. As long as what they wanted happened irrespective of how it comes to happen, God has sanctioned it. |
Thanks giving to God, I take it? ![]() Can you see how happy and relaxed they all looked, instead trepidation, anxiety of a huge task? Each single one of them now is sharpening on how their bank balances will quadruple more than ever they could ever had dreamt. |
Can someone ask this born again apostle of democracy called Tukur, where he was when that dispensation was being fought for? Wow! Nigerians, should bow down to this clown for giving them the carrot of democracy-wonderful. Since when is Virus called Tukur from the days is SHAGARI, a good thing for any purpose? |
So in Nigeria version govt of the people, a special adviser also has a special assistant who also goes with the title of a chief? You cannot make it up, serously. ![]() |
9inches: I tire o. Aren't we gonna crawl before walking and then running..? I'm pretty sure he said "thanks sir" after a meal or when a new clothing and/or shoes were bought for him when he was a kid, not minding it's the dad's basic responsibilityYou had been crawling for the last 100 years, while the likes of Malaysia are now racing Usain Bolt for the gold medal. |
jbaur24:Nigeria is older than South Africa with resources South Africa will die to have. Stop making excuses for politicians or celebrating when they are making a fool of our people, just as Peter Obi is doing with his silly last minute pickup truck. In the late 70s I remember my father donating a brand new volkswagen mini bus to my community's newly built secondary school for the girls. A school built by the community from scratch and handed over to the govt of Adekunle Lawal then. Across Igboland individuals had been donating things to help our people without any noise for donkey years. That is why I was angry as an Igbo son seeing our people being made a fool of by people like Obi and his supporters. |
osaxx: amaechi just want to cause trouble in rivers....because he is fully prepared to run-away when it starts...knowing fully well rivers is prone to crisis....such an irresponsible governor.....those people praising him...calling him strong are likely not to be from rivers state...so they have nothing to loose when the problem starts....this are the kind of leaders we have in nigeria...knowing fully well his decision is suicidal...innocent riverians will die because of his selfish decision.....may God forgive amaechiCan you expand on this? Why would dissolving a public body be all this you mentioned above? Am not saying that you are wrong, just want to know. Merci. |
ERockson: Whether he apologizes or not, that doesn't change fact that oshimole is a wicked being. Now, that is personal and nothing to do with the issue being discussed. |
robedu: I read on vanguard that Oshiomole has apologized to the woman he abused with words. For him to have realised that he was wrong and apologised is commendable because that is not a trait of Nigerians, let alone, their politicians. But mere apology is not enough, if the person in question had suffered any economic loses as a result. In the event, deserves a financial compensation from whoever was responsible. And it should be her right and not a gesture. |
