PoliticsRe: Massive Unemployment In Enugu; 8,000 Job Seekers Besiege UNTH For 10 Openings by Eziachi: 4:03pm On Nov 29, 2013
There is a high chance that the so called jobs is long gone and has already been filled months ago by unqualified cousins, nephews, in-laws, friends of a good friend etc.

The highlighted is the reason why I said you are still very far from facing realities. Our problems at this level of our development are not those stuffs you listed but roads, light, water and food on our table. An average Nigerian or African does not have the need yet for Fibrotic and all those hightech stuff you have mentioned.

Face realities of our time biko..
South African you are dreaming of overtaking their economy, already has those things. But, typical you're still talking the usual- "our level of development" mantra. If you have money, you don't have to wait to be 300 years old to have something as simple as broadband for a country that sell millions of crude in barrels, every single day.
When America was still at this level of your development, their president still go to work on a bicycle but yours has 8 fleets of aircraft at his disposal.
If left for people like you, I am sure that Africans also may be deemed not be ripe for simple mobile phone network.

TRASH!

Must you comment? This is Nigeria, go back to exile and remain in your America or Congo where you are more or less a slave..
Check out the real meaning of the word "slave" first, then come back, we can then have a proper and serious adult chat. I don't abuse people because they have a varied opinion, I discuss issues with them, even when we sharply disagrees. Have a good life.

Nnewi1stSon: @Topic if Obi can complete the shopping mall, @ Nnewi then my people would have fared better under his administration than any other. I just pray the next governor focuses more on dualising urban roads, the roads in Nnewi(All single lanes) are so narrow, that a little accident will cause unneccesary hold up for hours.
You are right in your sentiment but, no modern and serious govt got its role set as building shopping mall or McDonald/KFC chicken restaurant, that is the work of private people who want to invest their cash to make money.

In this 21st century, people should no longer talk about building roads as a target for achievement for any politician. Road, light and water are necessities of life, so its a priority of all levels of govt to provide them for the public fund in their care, not of thank you "sir" for giving us what we are entitled to have in the first place and with our collective wealth.

How many time do we go and heap praises on the presidents of our town unions across Igboland, for using the money we all contributed to execute a desired projects like roads, water, electricity, hospitals, civic centres, erosion control measures, schools etc? So why do people do the opposite on the politicians with your own money they spend without even accounting for?

People should should by now start to demand things like fibrotic broadband possibilities that help and drives modern business and in turn creates thousands of job, total digitally network possibilities. Start to demand first class well equipped 21st century hospitals where diseases like cancer, organ transplant, amputation, diabetes can be paid a closer attention and with an easy access to everybody, free compulsory breast cancer test to every woman over 21 years of age, and prostrate cancer test for men over 55. But today million die each over mosquito bites.

After 100 years of existence, Nigerians deserve a nation with a speed train network to all major cities and a standard train network to every single town.
But what do we get, people hailing a dimwit giving a pickup truck like a father Christmas after 8 years, with billions of public money at his disposal.
PoliticsRe: Obi Presents Security Vehicles To Major Markets (Pictures) by Eziachi:
jbaur24: Truly a silent achiever..

When the chips are down, we shall know the real 'progressives'..
Your both ideas of silent and achiever, I don't know which is more laughable or is it Peter Obi grand gesture of a pickup truck paid from his personal pocket (?)with a crowd bigger than those watching Somalian women football league match.

Some of you should wake up to the fact that the world is changing fast and people all over the world are wising up to certain idiocy easily accepted many years ago.

Using his office and power to join the call for confederation, regional police and make it happened, will serve his people more than a meaningless pickup truck to group of thugs that will be driving about in it.

I use to taunt francophone Africans in the past, whenever I see them wearing clothes printed image of their dictators on it, never will I ever envisage that thee will come a time it will reach homeland, courtesy of OBJ who introduced it into Nigerian politic cycle.
The days of mere vest with their image on it has gone, it now its printed image of useless bunch of thieves parading as leaders that our people will be wearing and some goon has audacity calling them silent achievers.
PoliticsRe: Should There Be Cross-migration If Nigeria Disintegrates? by Eziachi: 12:14am On Nov 28, 2013
If and when Nigeria decide to call it a day. I can promise you that the exercise won't be an experiment of something never done before. This is 21st century, not even the 20th century.

Those sharpening their throat on the sort of well stocked another man's electronic shop they will inherit or loot, should rather get a job now as that aren't going to happen.

Those calculating how much mansion they will inherit, should forget it as that will be part of your government reparation payment settlement.

Those hoping to see mass deportation of anyone to their village, I got news for you, there are 56 other Africa countries including Somalia.

Finally, life is not about bricks and mortar but good health is what matters. Once you are healthy and have life, you can replace whatever thing you lost in life by double digit. Life after the civil war thought everybody that lesson. We ALL started with N£20.00 as you well know, but by 1974, the same persons were buying houses of others who had it all, knocking it down and building the mansions, you are now eyeing up to inherit, then imagine what people can do with a million in their pocket instead of N£20?

Nigerian had lived and prospered before the marriage came along, so if in the end, confederation cannot be allowed to save Nigeria, they can prosper once again as partners rather than a marriage of suffocation. If the mighty Soviet can crumble within our very eyes and the earth did not shake, Nigeria can die without a whimper funeral. And five years later, it will be-Nigeria who?

caseless: ngige is popular and probably the best candidate amongst the rest, but his only offence, according to them, was that ngige belong to yoruba party. Only pple that ar backward think like that. They forgot that yoruba voted LP party in ondo state twice and not minding ac/acn as their party. If apga is ibo(SE) party, then which is SS, NE, NW and middle-belt party? Ibo dnt want to associate with any region politically, but they want all the regions to support them and make one of their own the president of nigeria without election. Ibo need to review their relationship with other tribes in nigeria for general acceptability.
Cool off on this Igbo president you are so hunged up about. Minus the usual career politicians, an average Igbo man do not give two rats about Who lives at Aso Rocks. Some of you cannot seem get this fact absolved in your brain. Apart from the beer joint bragging rights, please tell me how any Otueke person is better than anyone else out there now because Jonathan is living and enjoying a rent free at Aso Rock.

What's with him and using thugs to win votes
He shd go and rest biko
No he did not, unless you are under 2 yrs old in 2003. The Uba clan did and they told us so that Ngige has no idea how he became governor. Even if he did, why is the victim then now a perpetrator of the same act and you are plauding? Tomorrow it could be you. Where will it end?

Abagworo: Athur Eze is nobody in Igboland. He's known as a 419er of old formerly called "Arthur 1000". Like most PDP members, he's a retired thief. Same league as the retired thief Eze Ilomuanya and Late retired thief Igwe John Nebolisa.
Tell them. Who in their right mind, wants to rule Nigeria under the current arrangement?

PoliticsRe: Arthur Eze's Comment And Implication On The Igbo Presidency by Eziachi: 3:24pm On Nov 16, 2013
Orlando Owoh: On Wednesday the 13th of this month at the PDP governorship campaign, Arthur Eze, a chieftain of the party made the following statement about the APC's candidate, Christ Ngige, " That short man called Ngige, we gave him power and he went and joined Awolowo's people; the people that killed the Igbos (sic)." This statement was deliberately made to dissuade the people of Anambra from voting for Ngige who arguably, stands a better chance of being elected in today's election. While Eze may see his comment as a mere statement geared towards getting votes for his party, it left a lot to be desired. It will surely have an adverse effect on any Igbo wanting to become President of Nigeria.
When they get to the north during their campaign, northers would be told by their politicians not to vote for the people of soldiers that killed their sons, Ahmadu Bello, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Ali Akilu, Ahmed Ben Musa (Ahmadu Lere), Zakariya Mailamari, Kur Mohammed, Abogo Largema and Yakubu Pam.
In the west, people will be told not to vote the people of the soldiers that killed Samuel L. Akintola, Samuel A. Ademulegun, Ralph Shodeinde, his wife and their unborn baby.
In the south, Delta State in particular, Itshekiri would be asked not to vote the people that killed Festus Okotie-Eboh.
These people were killed on the 15th of January, 1966.
You did not include people that killed Abiola, Khudirat and made Diya to cry on TV.

funnyx: Mazi Eziachi, how bodi?
Thank you for your contribution, of course comments like that of Adekunle were not only insensitive but callous however that does not mean all Yorubas think like him or support his actions.
Having said that I don't know of anything in history that make Yoruba and igbos to be like brothers, so can you expantiate on that. Also the fact that Yoruba decided to support Nigeria in the war was solely to protect Yoruba'a interest which I believe is the right thing to do. Yorubas have nothing to gain in supporting Ojukwu coupled with the fact that it was already becoming clear that our land will be turned to a war zone on a course that bear none of our interest.
At least Zik who is an igbo son also supported Nigeria so why are igbos passing this hatred for Yorubas from generation to generation?
Well, if you were around in 60s you may understand why that generation of Igbo and Yoruba like me were programmed to believe that they are brothers. If you believe they aren't, It makes no sense why you spilled blood and got yours spilled dragging Igbos back into Nigeria. With all this hate on both sides, It will never make any sense.

PoliticsRe: Ridiculous Statements Made At Anambra PDP rally by Eziachi: 11:35am On Nov 15, 2013
funnyx: What I find ironic is that you never see people like Arthur Eze attacking Hausa Fulani and many northern tribes that fought the war against Biafra it's only Yorubas they can attack.
If many of you where around in the 60s and saw how dead bodies of Igbos lithered all over the streets of Nigeria especially in the North and stance the Yoruba took to not only fight along side the northerners but produce men like Adekunle as the North cunningly took the back stage. Murtala murdered more Igbos than Adekunle will ever Strang but how many young Igbos knew that? Was It because Murtala kept mute during and after the war? While Adekunle used his mouth more than he actually did and that what most Igbo remembered and passed that to the next Generation, hence sowing more Sees of hate. So I don't know why most you can't understand the animosity. It was more of a shock to an every Igbo man than anything else, that no matter your rivalry, you don't fight your own brother irrespective of your probably good reasons. Again, since after the war you will need to look hard to find Hausa talking about the war in public compared that to our Yoruba friends. Igbo and Yoruba are like England and Germany. They love to hate each other due to their rivalry and its not about to change until both side lives their separate lives, then this rivalry can becomes a healthy competition that will propel both nations to the pinnacle of development. The northerners knew this, hence they play them against each other to a near perfection. Many will be shocked how Igbo and Yoruba will get on, once Nigeria is broken, just like Russia and Ukraine.

If he wasnt sure about it and can be easily swayed by the no victor no vanquish, why did he now take the nation through the pains he didnt fully believe in

Maybe thats why his own people refused to vote him
Ikemba having an Hausa overlord? grin that would sound faintly right if we have an Emir of Nnewi just as you have in Ilorin. Now Who really has an overlord then, you or Ikemba? Just like Mandela, Emeka knew when to stop fighting and seek other alternative fights and looking at Igbos now and looking back at our state at the dawn of 1970, we shall ever be grateful to him for all his sacrifices despite his youthful mistakes. Cos I was there.
