Goddex: Bros, only sycophants eating with him "Love" him.
It seems the sycophants has find another lover to love-as Amaechi don't carry light anymore in their opinion. We will see how this chess game plays out in the end.

alj harem: well said. a good (not great) writer does not make a man great. He is an enemy of progress and tolerance whether we like it or not. The truth be told a tribalist is a tribalist whether he is a good writer or not
Now you said it, go drink that garri with some kwuli.

A traitor to who?
This rebranding of OBJ''s style of silencing opposition views, may come back to hunt you people come that 2015.

That noise is a music in the ears of those in her area. And that is the truth.

Fela kuti -musician
Beko kuti -doctor
Tunde Bakare -black liberation theologist
Ken saro wiwa- writer , television reporter, environmentalist
Thank God the southwest has been able to get rid of the last traces of PDP and the last vestige of OBJ. THE likes Akala ,adedibu, agagu ,fayose ,oyinlola and the miscreants like Tokyo which the PDP attract in droves, are gone. It used to be assassination galore during the reign of these bastards. It is no surprise that social miscreant have now turned media commentators.
YORUBA RONU O
When will you be getting rid of Sijuade-the Oni of Ife of the June 12 is an act of God fame? He is still one eyed Kampe.
PoliticsRe: It’s Jonathan Or No Peace – Annkio Briggs by Eziachi: 9:21pm On May 22, 2013
How I wish you can fast forward this 2015 to come next week. I can't wait for this fight between the our Ijaw brothers and their former masters of North/SW.
Jonathan should now sleep with one eye opened, because everywhere you looked at him, there is a bad smell of another Ironsi, smelling all over him.
PoliticsRe: Ex-militants Storm Port Harcourt To Demand Amaechi's Resignation by Eziachi: 9:10pm On May 22, 2013
Wow!
So we are finally back to the good old OBJ era again. Who would have thought that butter can melt in Jonathan's mouth, even without any shoes?
PoliticsRe: How Did Corruption Start In Nigeria by Eziachi: 9:05pm On May 22, 2013
blacnewton: Hi, I am writing a book and I need to hear the views of Nigerians on the topic "corruption" I have come to realize that we all have diverse definitions of corruption. So I would love to hear your own take on HOW corruption started in Nigeria and the steps we can take to put an end to it. Thank You.
Are sure you should writing a book you don't much about its subjects?
Anyway, back to your question. No one can pinpoint when corruption started, as before the British left, we have always had the corrupt court clerks that interpret for the white man in the village courts. They will demand a goat and a bag of rice in exchange for your freedom even when the white judge had pronounced you not guilty. grin
But it was Mr 10 percent-Chief Festus Okotie-Ebo that first glamourised corruption in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Northern Elders Vow To Nail Jonathan At The ICJ by Eziachi: 8:56pm On May 22, 2013
Since they are in this nailing mode, they should do well and take Babangida along on their way to the ICJ. I don't think that Dele Giwa's family will complain at all.
PoliticsRe: Gov. Amaechi’s Aide Resigns by Eziachi: 8:53pm On May 22, 2013
Timehin: Who's his "father" to ask a governor to resign from office huh
At least he has a reason to resign rather than a reason to staying put, irrespective of his father's conflicting of interest view.
Very unNigerian in my opinion. Good luck to him.
PoliticsRe: Chinua Achebe's Burial Rites (Pictures) by Eziachi: 8:44pm On May 22, 2013
It is falacious to say a man is a Great man, because in the hussle of his trade he distinguished himself, . I think those that assert this premised their conclusion on obvious error and a very faulty one at that, with due respect to all with opinion that Papa Chinua Achebe was a great man; Is just that I am yet to see the reason(s) for that (or maybe I have not listened enough).

I'm of the opinion that he was a great writer and a good storyteller whose works tell the stories of his people, but a 'great' man in the context of greatness?...nah! I don't think we are fair enough to ascribing greatness to a man who from his writing one could see traces of tribalism- or could one call it enthic promotion?
You should write a new dictionary and maybe refined the word greatness in your prism terms, then the world will become a paradise. One man's tribalism is another man's objective and truthfulness. Live with it until your version of dictionary is out.
PoliticsRe: Chinua Achebe's Burial Rites (Pictures) by Eziachi: 8:39pm On May 22, 2013
deskossy: His memoir done more harm dan gud 2 his image, wat he said abt Awolowo a respected nigeria icon is unacceptable..and am nt a yoruba,b4 al u tribalist go all ballistic on me,bt he is gr8 man..d president will attend his burial,d body jst arrived.....RIP SIR
Thats your view-millions of others might disagree. Go and write your own book and venerate Awolowo, one man's icon is another man's something else. Thats the way it goes.
By the way, can you quote the particular chapter or page of the memoir you are having headache with or maybe you haven't read it too?
PoliticsRe: Chinua Achebe's Burial Rites (Pictures) by Eziachi: 8:36pm On May 22, 2013
eko ileee: They are obviously writing theirs with many counter views and have been since the book came out including what many are objecting to on NL.
Inconsequential views on Nairaland is not a book.
PoliticsRe: Chinua Achebe's Burial Rites (Pictures) by Eziachi: 6:17pm On May 22, 2013
eko ileee: At the end of the day, opinion cuts both ways. He had every right to write about and voice his views and opinion same ways others have the same rights to respond to what he wrote and voiced especially about them.
My sentiment too. If anyone have problem with his book, his story or the way he sees things he wrote- they are free to write theirs and tell it their own way.

DEGREE2466: what of the airport GEJ promised to build in all the 36 states in Nigeria?
A rather late question, since you never bother to ask him then, what of if you never deliver?

Demdem: [b]The retardeen promised to give us floating cities here in ND. This was extensively discussed and i cant believe we all have forgotten so soon.
Till date, we haven't seen any "CI" not to talk of "CITY". I believe u now know what it is now grin
I thought Jonathan is just before Jesus Christ to you and does no wrong? It goes to show that many of you views are more personal benefit than being objective.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Promises Free Trade-Zone For Southeast by Eziachi: 6:09pm On May 22, 2013
bigfrancis21: Instead of some nairalanders to be happy at this news, they instead choose to look down on the news and call Jonathan names just because the project isn't happening in their region.
So you don't know that a typical and average Nigeria will have no qualm siting a navy base in the desert not minding that ships does sail in water, not on sand?
And the worse being, he will find justification for it without flinching and will have ready made supporters. Thats the real Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Chinua Achebe's Burial Rites (Pictures) by Eziachi: 6:00pm On May 22, 2013
dayokanu: So Achebe was draped in a Nigerian flag.

I hope he would be seeing that he died a Nigerian
He is dead, he has no choice, even if he has, you will still find something meaningless about it to say. So whats new or news?
PoliticsRe: Chinua Achebe's Burial Rites (Pictures) by Eziachi: 5:58pm On May 22, 2013
bobthebuilder99: People respected and admired him until he wrote that tribal book There Was a Country.

If Nigerians know anything, we know how to spot a common tribalist. That book ruined his reputation here in Naija.
Who give a twit about your respect? Respect based on saying what you wanted to hear only. A book am sure you don't know how it looks like, let alone reading it.

Okoro2015: Is that not Obi and Ngige walking hand to hand? Laughing in ACN.
You are not seeing double, its Ngige and Obi walking and probably cracking few jokes, but few idiots will come online and on the street and fight over them.
Just as Jonathan , Buhari, Tinubu etc are being fought over, day and night here by low lives, whom this men care less about their very existence.

PoliticsRe: CP Orders Arrest Of Rivers’ Speaker. by Eziachi: 7:41pm On May 19, 2013
Flyboy Zee: Thank you mon ami!
Its good you know your onions. They think the ND people are docile or f0olish like them.
How can a governor of a state i.e, 1/36 be fighting te governor of governors, on the person of the President of the FR, just because he wants to become a second fiddle VP, which is still very very uncertain for him (Amaechi) & you are there supporting him. Have you ever heard of such in the USA, where we copied our malfunctional democracy from?
Every man to his own, please, face your LG and leave Rivers politics to Rivers people. bikonu!
Have you got any fact to support this your claims as the reason for this fight? By the way, both men careers is politics and its not interwoven with each other. Amaechi don't owe Jonathan the burial of his ambition in order to fertilize Jonathans own career. Both men owe nothing to each other in terms of loyalty. Amaechi is not Jonathan's subordinate neither is Jonathan, Amaechi's boss.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Promises Free Trade-Zone For Southeast by Eziachi: 7:21pm On May 19, 2013
For those opposing or negative to the news of this so called Free Trade Zone, what is the problem?
1. Its not a good thing?
2. Anything sited East of the Niger has to be bad and must be condemned?
3. You don't like Jonathan, hence anything related to him has to be terrible and poo upon?
4. Life is now all about opposing everything just for opposing it sake?

So I am not wrong when I said he has a lot to be proud about. And by the way, millions don't win trophies. Ask top coaches like Benitez, Fergie, Redknapp etc
Millions don't win trophies? Tell my why Paris has just won it and where they have been all these years? Every manager is as good as the quality of players he works with and quality player don't come cheap.

thegoodjoehunt: Very true. He even dramatizes too much on the touchline to take away shine from players.

Kaka's case was even worse. He was just bought for a mega deal and Mou just dropped him on the bench because he knew Kaka's star power will outshine him. I hope Mourinho deals with his Ego. It is getting the best of him.

It was what Pepe Guardiola said few years ago that Mourinho's biggest issue is the fact that he never play the game, so he find it difficult to leave all adoring attention to his players. So everything is all about him, and any obstacle to that or any person who want to share that attention with him is not welcomed, whether you are a manager or a player.
At Madrid he met few players, you can call Mr Madrid and he couldn't handle the love and respect they command within the establishment, hence he started a civil in his own team by trying to force the Spanish national captain to cause problem inside their national team because of his obsession with Barcelona. And when the captain put Spain before his ego, the war has started.

Tee831: See how committed Casillas and Pepe are to Madrid. Pepe nearly wan kill himself for touchline. I hate the guy but he should have started the game. Mou no know say na luck him dey get, he tink say everyday na Christmas
You can't be in a club since you are 17 years old and now in your 30s and your commitment is being questioned by any sane person.

Wahala90: You can't say you are humble when you have nothing to be proud about. Mou has a lot to be proud about.
He is not the first neither the last that will have something to be proud about, it just the way he goes about his success, of which we knew he achieved by coaching only team that has greater chances of winning, the elite clubs, team with million dollar worth players with average age of 27, the players peek age, team with millions to spend, team not at any threat of losing their best players because they have to sell to balance the book.

When next he return to England, I wan t him to take over Southampton and then lets have this discussion this time next year and see how he fairs.
