Kamanda: Boss, don't forget that the average Delta guy has the same progressive mentality as the average SWesterner and Edo.They flow together in everything than with the SE,SS peeps. Some of you do really turn Nigerian history upside down. When exactly was old SW coexisted in peace? Was it Ife vs Modekeke or Ibadan vs Ogbomosho. Wasn't it the fracas from the old west that was the catalyst that set Nigeria on fire, wasn't it there we had marshall law and state of emergency declared? |
What business has South South with South East? I am sorry, we have very little in common and I would prefer South South and South West combination.
After a nasty divorce, you want to jump into another marriage? What is wrong being single for a while? I prefer a Biafra exclusive of just Igbos everywhere plus possibly Annang, Ibibio, Efik, if that is their desire with a big capital IF. Nigerian experience has thought us that forced marriage of incompartibles is a big sin, never to be repeated in any form or shape. |
fkaz: Oil is not the issue, but the kind of focus leaders they will produce, so don't be carriedaway by this oil,you might have 419s ritualist as your leader.Fear has always being a very secret weapon. What can be worse than what had been obtained with Nigeria all these years? Well, a home bred 419, ritualist leaders are better than a foreign one as obtained in Nigeria today. Its like telling a prisoner to remain in jail because, he will only return to his poor ghetto neighbourhood. Is that a meaningful options? |
Nigeria will crush then once again . I mean SE...this tym around it gone b catastrophic.
Hopefully you will personally participate in the crushing, not just by your keyboard. The way I see, 1960s is not 2013, when you can buy any amount of ammunition you can afford without going to any conference or talking to any government. Today, probably armed robbers has more arms than Biafra ever had but lasted that long to defeat. No one is fighting anyone, its just a divorce, get over it. If you can't manage on your own, then say so and stop preaching war just because your partner is saying that every man to his fathers yard. What are you afraid of? |
Sayfat: As long as the SE/SS carved country would be govern by the Alams, Jonathans, Iboris, igbinedions etc. The country people will be more impoverished and keep dying of unwarranted hunger despite the flowing and distribution of oil. You think SW and the rest zones are your problem?Nigerian biggest disease- obsession with crude oil, everything start and ends with oil. What many of you forget is that the likes of Ibori are products of Nigeria. No one ever steal from himself and get away freely. Nigeria made the likes of Ibori possible because their mindset is that they are in behalf of their side against the other side. When you are isolated with your own people, who knew your father upstart and knew how you start and no other side to use or blame, things will change slightly. But now, every side is protecting their own criminals. |
Rgp92: They can try! Some of our friends from South West always felt threatened anytime or anything threatened continued existence of one Nigeria, even more than the so called parasite from the north, which to me is always a very unfair tag. |
Are you sure this is D.R Congo because this pictures make Abuja the most developed city in Nigeria look like makoko slum in Lagos. Op must have hijacked another city's pictures. call me Thomas
Don't say anything yet, until you visit Tunis. You will see a well maintained ancient and modern ARCHITECTURAL masterpiece side by side with the cleanest street, which washed at night (yes! washed with water, not just sweep). |
Limaoscar: Good win for us today and congrats to the lads. Victor Moses would have made it 2 but the lad is learning how not to score "easy goals" and I'm worried for him.How many generation of your family had supported Chelsea? All these Nigerian English football team supporters of the millenium, meanwhile Enugu Rangers, IICC, Bendel Insurance etc at their backyard are just one foot from the graves. |
Aigbofa: Going by what you described above as the functions of a governor, don't you think it makes a lot of sense to have a deputy since the governor cannot be everywhere at the same time or more importantly not immortal?A governor in Nigeria has on average of 26 commissioner at least, with portfolios and his chief of staff. I once asked my cousin who was a governor, why he can't give his deputy one of the ministries to manage? He looked at me and smile and said: " If you grant your deputy a leave, he will turn around to ask for an allowance, so no need to encourage him". And that said it all. They only send their deputy to go and represent them at weddings, funeral and birthdays can't be bothered to attend. The commissioners don't like or respect them, so the office of deputy governor is Nigeria is just a waste of public money, because they do nothing or allowed to do anything by the governors. What do you understand by community organiser Obama was doing to mean? Yes its a charity service one does to improves his community, it doesn't matter whether you went to Harvard or Zombie university. Deputy governor is not a service, not a charity, its a political salary position that benefits only the person being deputy governor and his household no one else. |
Wow! United losing to a Chelsea that played a game on Thursday? Even with their best player (Howard Webb) keeping Rooney on the bench? |
Prof Corruption:Ok, a governor is directly elected to govern a state and that involved managing education, healthcare, social infrastructures, preparing budgets. formulating policies geared towards creating job opportunities and investment in his state. He balances the budget of his state and collect revenue-prepares a balance sheet of distribution of the state income for the legislative approval before disbursement to his commissioners. Creates a healthy and safe environment through his policies to foster peace/security and lives and properties inside his domain. That is why he is not appointed as in replacement. He is the boss-hence when things goes well, he get the credit, when things doesn't he gets the blame. When Sullivan Chime was off work for almost a year, his deputy wasn't even originally told of his whereabout, let alone given or trusted enough to be handed over the affairs of Enugu state to manage, in fact, it was his chief of staff that was calling all the shots in his absent. The same treatment goes to GEJ as vice president to a sick Yar Adua in far away Saudi Arabia. Yar Adua's wife was even calling the shots, not Jonathan. This lady deputy now in Ekiti will even be less relevant to the unelected wife of the governor and thats a fact. Remember Etiaba and Peter Obi. The list is endless. Its a meaningless position, its all about money and being ones of the guys, as long as Nigeria contest is concerned. Just look at her qualification and what she has achieved in life as a citizen, she is even more qualified than the person appointing her to just come and seat down and do nothing |
Prof Corruption: I had a good laughAchebe was a member of a political party, its not the same as leaving what you trained for years behind to become a politician without a portfolio. I know what a president does, I also know what governors, ministers and commissioners does, but in Nigeria, vice president and deputy governors, I don't know what they do. They are not even considered good enough to succeed their bosses after their terms. If you know what they do, as you seems to be the expert, kindly let me know-I don't know. Only a brain drain Nigeria will consider professorship as nothing-that confirmed it, it just a chieftaincy title. |
Prof Corruption: May be you should start by telling us what a governor does on daily basis? This not personal nor do I want to go into any fight with you. Make your own point, this my own opinion. I know what a governor does, I don't know what a deputy governor does, if you know, please tell us. Not every political step in my opinion is a forward step, and deputy governor is one of them, a meaningless position. Its all about joining the Nigerian gravy train. I can just imagine Achebes or Soyinkas of this world, becoming anybody's deputy governor, when they have better things to do with their lives. |
What a waste! All that time, money and energy spent preparing her thesis toward her PHD had now been abandoned just to become a politician without a portfolio? Someone should please remind me what a deputy governor does on a daily basis? Instead of forwarding and pioneering the future with her God given brain towards young ones is the field of academia, she took a backward step of joining the bandwagon of nonentities of no use to the society. Only in Nigeria that you have professors leaving the their class room where they will be most useful to the society to become a local government chairman. It shows how education is meaningless in Nigeria, degrees are just glorified university version of chieftaincy titles. |
Billyonaire: Hahahahaahaha, You never start! When the masses are scrambling on how to catch a night bus to their destinations, Amaechi is going to Press to re-enact how his Jet was grounded. Is he searching for love amongst the masses or the Presidency he cunningly runs parallel ? Your wahala never start. Learn from Sylvia and Alams. There are 2 entities you can not fight- The Gods and Government.I can recalled when the original story broke, that you and many others were all in hand saying that no one is above the law not to file in a flight manifest as safety is number one and paramount, of which I agreed with you 100%. But now the original story according to this one seem to have a k-leg to it, you quickly forgot that its all about safety as we were originally told and your opinion changed quickly from safety law and jumped into to someone fighting 1st god and 2nd god, that never wins, all in desperation of hearing what you don't expect to hear? Many of you needs help indeed. Not that I am even sympathetic to Amaechi who seems to spend most of his time flying around and attending funerals, when he is paid to do a job in Port Harcourt. But that is not the issue, the main onion here is who grounded the plane in the first place and why? Why was the public lied to last week as to what happened? |
CyberG: Eziachi used to be one person to think and talk sensibly but these days, the retardeenic stupidity is creeping in or is the Nigerian factor that makes even the most astute individuals scums of the earth a la Reuben Abati, Dora Akunyili, etc? So now it is about taking turns at the cookie jar, not performance? Not record of achievement, if any? It is about ibos becoming Islamists for 8 years just to be president? This is the losing strategy and you should know better! Don't come back and whine when you are disappointed because you seem to have lost any principles you once espoused on this forum. Or have you been hired and your soul paid for in filthy lucre so much so you bit into the madness of Nigeria hook, line and sinker? Don't bother placating me with a response, go and reflect or correct the utterly despicable comments you made earlier!Sorry to disappoint you but the cookie jar theory is not me advocating my own ways of democracy. Rather, I am only expressing Nigerian unwritten constitution of turn by turn leadership ladder to Aso Rock since 1999 at least. When you read things, it better to digest it first, before you hit the keyboard in anger. How on earth can any Nigerian politician pays me? By Nigerian standard, I am supposed to be a very wealthy fella ![]() |
I don't know where this happened, but if its in England, the school involved is in a serious trouble for allowing a child to leave the school with an unknown person, let alone a pre-nursery child (unless this is a mis-spoke). Few years ago, my son inlaw asked me to do him a favour of collecting my grandson from his primary school as he has an important unscheduled meeting to attend in the city. But in his rush, he forgot tell the school when he dropped him off in the morning or to phone the school later to let them know the name of the person that will be coming to pick him up for the day as his usual nanny that collect him normally has a family bereavement and was off for the week as that is the standard procedure for school to be informed. But alas, when I arrived at 3pm to collect the little man and the my joy to see him and spend little time with him was cut short when they refused to let me take him because they don't know me and no one told them that I was to collect him. Despite my explanation of what happened and who I am and my grandson recognising me, they were adamant to speak to the parents first. I called my son inlaw, his phone was switched off, probably still in meetings. I had no choice than to make a long distance call to my daughter who is in far away Doha for work. I was lucky she picked up the phone and had to speak to school and asked them to allow me take him and apologised to them for not letting them know before hand. Though disappointed as I was, I was equally happy and impressed by what happened, knowing that children there including my grandson are safe. In this dangerous world, that was a huge lapse. |
eko ilee:Ignorant, odious and lousy miseducation is not for everyone. |
eko ilee: In summary, Yoruba people voted for and supported OBJ?In summary, not 1999 but 100% 2003, if I am wrong, who did you give your vote? |
eko ilee: I have no Idea, please educate us..No problem and send my fee to the salvation army near you. You voted OLU FALEA 1999 when you WERE spoiled for choice with two Yoruba candidates as OBJ you can't stand was the other alternative. In 2003, with no Yoruba in the race except OBJ, you have no choice again than to sacrifice everything for him to win including AD governors, except a wise Bola Tinubu then. Next question. |
eko ilee: We didn't vote for OBJ or support OBJ. Learn some political history and quit displaying ignorance on the internet...Really, who did you vote for, Buhari/Okadigbo ticket? ![]() While they got Yam port, what did you get for your own sweat? Nothing! and starvation of fund to Lagos, thuggery, Bola Ige pumped inside his bedroom, his supposed killer winning senate seat from his prison. |
ifechez: you are a cow. what manner of did that fool speak? take it or leave it, come 2015 south east will vote massively for bro jona. Are You not making the same mistake you claimed the fool made when he spoke for south east by yourself speaking for the south east against 2015 |
eko ilee: .Remember your own 99% vote dividend for OBJ in 2003, when he thanked you by his butt kicking out all but one AD governors and made Agbero like Fayose your ruler, created the likes of bleached face Akala as your wise men and how he finally laid your beloved AD party to the grave yard of politics. Always think of yourself first, before gloating or dishing out advise on political behaviour. |
lumeneng22: Divided igbo may not have such chance afterall.Who is united in Nigeria? |
deletrue: Willy Ezugwu should be very hungry by now. I know him very well. Probably looking for some assistance from the president, otherwise who is willy to speak for the igbos? There are highly respected igbos than that nontity and insignificant being. I advise let us undermine that stuff and concentrate on other mportant issue. If he is talking rubbish because he is hungry, why waste assistance on him? Respected Igbos like who?-Nweke Anyigo |
naijabigfish: The Igbos were warned before the last presidential election not to vote for oga Jonathan but they would not listen. They should go and lick their wounds timid set of people who would betray their own kind for a bag of Naira.Who then did you and the rest that listened voted for in that last presidential election? |
moodswing: GEJ is our father. Fantastic.Your father? The man feeding, clothing and schooling you all these years without knowing that you are just another man's love child must be livid now. ![]() |
ifihearam: Don't want to ruin your hopes oo but we both know an Igbo Will NEVER be the number 1 citizen of this country with the existing political calculation. The only person who can effect that change is GEJ and that's why the Igbos must as a matter of urgency support whole heartedly this current administration and they can be compensated with the office of the vice president if their loyalty pleases the president .Who really wants to be a Nigerian number one citizen in a sane world? OBJ was number 1 for few years-how did that fair with you, his number one blood brother? |
gerald09: Why d hell will dis old fo*ol assume I would do what he says cos am igbo, F*UCK you if u have problem with jonathan that's ur F*uking business. Ѿε̲̣̣̣̥ are trying to reduce tribalism in Nigeria so our children will have peace n Old gays are tryin to cos bad blood. I say FU*CK You and your igbo bulls*hit. It FU*ckin embarrassing when people say the igbo man always hav a price, its people like you they talk about S*uckin d di*cks of men n call on all igbos to follow u Su*ck di*c cos am igbo. Its a free country n every single nigeria has the ryt to make dem own decision I don't give a F*uck were dey from. F*uckin son of a b*itch! Racist B*arstard.Ah! the time you spent just swearing and cursing, could have been used making more sense. |
thelastPope: Comedy Central! One unknown Igbo man sent an email to channels and it became news?Never mind one unknown alien man, what he said, is it the truth? Obviously truth is measured based on whose favours its spearheading. |
ifihearam: Smh. Common enemy my royal foot. The Igbos are voiceless and without integrity. Just a bag of ghana must go will do the magic and a U-turn would be made .Where was your bank account number when OPC and the new UPN collected your own Ghana must go magic? |
Sincere 9gerian: Both the message and messenger lack credibility. Why does our fufu has to develop some tooth when it comes our turn to swallow? The PPP is baptism way of saying that you will have to pay for the bridge by yourself through toll. Did he tell them this before they gave him the vote that they will be indebted to Julius Berger and their Nigerian behind the scene cronies for years to come or where do you think the N70b will come from to pay back the private people? Note the template for constructing Second Niger Bridge has always been PPP because there's already an existing bridge. Is that a fact that where there is already an old structure, the new one must be through PPP? By the way, the same character that speaks for opposition parties that are doing several unending PPP projects (eg the Lekki road with tolling points) in Lagos is sermonizing about PPP here. Why put our people in debt, when you are selling millions of barrel of oil daily and you are supposed to be the messiah, just because Lagos got PPP project. We will prefer a petrochemical industry through PPP, not road, rich/poor uses. As for the Onitsha port, I dont know why things have not started happening there. The govt has completed and commissioned the port. They said they want to concession it to private management but I dont know why that is taking too long. You don't know why? That doesn't sound like you. Its not like you not to know. Please why not find out. I am sure there will be a very good swallowable excuse for it. |
