Adele and her husband, Simon Konecki, have separated after more than 7 years together, the pop singer’s representatives confirmed on Friday.

Konecki, 45, is the CEO of a charity known as Drop4Drop while Adele is, of course, a Grammy, Academy and Golden Globe-award winning singer-songwriter.

With sales of more than 100 million records, the 30-year-old is one of the world’s best-selling music artists.

“Adele and her partner have separated,” the singer’s representative Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh said in a statement to the Associated Press.

“They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”

The consumer-facing version of the BBM will be shutting down on May 31, 2019, as the end of the once esteemed messenger seems near.

Emtek, the Indonesia-based company that partnered with BlackBerry in 2016, just announced the closure.

Invented in 2005, BBM — an acronym for BlackBerry Messenger — grew quickly to become the world’s most popular phone-to-phone messaging service, in the early days of smartphones. It was popular as a safer alternative to text messages because of its robust encryption.

But it was quickly eclipsed by services such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and many others, as BlackBerry’s lost dominance in smartphones trickled down to BBM.

As part of the deal, Emtek took over the running of the free consumer-oriented version of the service, while BlackBerry retained control of BBMe, its service for business customers.

Perpetual took to Instagram to call out Lizzy, saying she never attended Caleb Nursery and Primary School and Vivian Fowler Secondary School, and her name is Oluchi and not Lizzy.

She wrote this in reaction to the initial story of the rescued girl, who was reported to have attended both Caleb and Vivian Fowler.

A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has died after he fell off a commercial bus in Lagos state.

He was identified as, Akhigbe Nuel Odiase, a recent law graduate.

Akhigbe Nuel Odiase was in a bus plying the LASU-Isheri road when he fell from the moving vehicle at about 9:45pm on the night of April 15, 2019.

He sustained a severe head injury from the accident and was rushed to the nearby Alimosho General Hospital, Igando, where he was given first aid treatment. He was then transferred to LASUTH where he died later that night from his wounds.

The police officers who were involved in the killing of a Nigerian lady identified as, Jessy Gold, have been arrested and detained.

The arrested officers were involved in the shooting of a Nigerian man and his girlfriend following an encounter with the couple who were returning from a club on Saturday, April 13, 2019, in Lagos, have been arrested.

News on her alleged murder by officers of the Nigerian Police Force was earlier reported, after being broken by Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman, who claimed the officers have been identified and they are attached to the Trinity Police Station in Ajegunle.

The shocking video shared online purportedly shows a pastor washing his legs on the head of his members while letting the water drip over them to “anoint” them.

In the video shared on Twitter by Oku Ekpenyong, a long line of members can be seen waiting their turn.

Each of the unidentified pastors church member kneels when they get to the pastor and he places his foot on their head while someone pours water on the foot.

Billionaire Ahmed Indimi's daughter, Meram, has taken to social media to open up about her struggle with depression and anxiety.

Meram, who got married last year to Baffa Dandatti, took to Instagram to speak candidly about her struggle with depression and anxiety.

She stated in a video that, through her struggles with the mental illness, she discovered her passion for health and wellness. She said;

Chelsea has banned three fans and in search of three others after a video of them racially Mo Salah emerged.

Chelsea condemned the video showing what is claimed to be Blues fans in Prague calling Liverpool star Mohamed Salah “a bomber”.

The Islamophobic slur attacks one of the Blues’ former players, after 1,000 fans travelled to attend their Europa League quarter-final clash against Slavia Prague.

The Blues security team actively tried to prevent the fans in the video from entering the Eden Stadion and turned three of the six away, as they continue what they describe as a ‘zero tolerance’ stance on racism.

They will look to ban their supporters if they can identify them and establish for certain that it happened in Prague ahead of Thursday’s match, as suspected.

“Chelsea FC finds all forms of discriminatory behaviour abhorrent and where there is clear evidence of Chelsea season ticket holders or members involved in such behaviour, we will take the strongest possible action against them,” a statement read.

“Such individuals are an embarrassment to the vast majority of Chelsea supporters who won’t tolerate them in their club.”

Nollywood filmmaker, Eddie Ugbomah, is bedridden and has cried out for help from Nigerians.

Eddie Ugbomah in a Facebook post earlier today, revealed that he is yet to receive the support which he pleaded for to receive treatment abroad., stating that he was still in need of urgent medical treatment.

The 78-year-old had called the nation’s attention to his frail health in October 2018 with revelations that he was suffering from high blood pressure and complications in his nerves.

The case of the former chairman of the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) is made worse by the lack of basic infrastructure in Ilogbo Eremi, the suburb where he lives in Lagos.

“I am seriously down with 205/190 BP, no road, no light, no clinic and I am dying. What a shameless country. The nearest clinic is 5 miles away. The town in Ilogbo Eremi off Badagry exp road,” Ugbomah wrote at the time.

The filmmaker had intended to raise N50 million from the sale of his intellectual property to cover for his medical bills but it did not materialise.

A primary school teacher identified as Adebayo Gbadebo, has been arrested for allegedly sodomizing underage students in Lagos state.

The married teacher was arrested on Monday, April 8, 2019, by the Ogun State Police Command, after he had been on the run since he was accused of the crime.

According to reports, Adebayo Gbadebo, had gone to the police division with a lawyer with the hope that he would be granted bail.

The lawyer demanded that another medical examination be conducted on the latest victim, who had earlier been taken to the Mirabel Centre, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) when the latest alleged sodomy was uncovered.

Spokesman of the state Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed that the suspect came with a lawyer, who requested an independent medical examination on the child, but his request was turned down because the police station was not the court, neither would they allow the victim to be subjected to further emotional and psychological torture.

Some robbers stabbed and killed a UNILAG-trained medical doctor, Dr. Urueye Stephen aka Sarutobi, 24 hours after his graduation.

According to reports, Dr. Urueye Stephen aka Sarutobi, a House Officer at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, graduated from the University of Lagos on Tuesday April 2nd, before he was stabbed by some robbers.

Urueye Stephen was walking along Idi Araba road when he was accosted by the robbers who stabbed him before carting away his properties found on him.

Taking to Facebook to mourn his death, his friend and former UNILAG SUG president, Adeyeye Olorunfemi, wrote;

And we lost Stephen.
We lost this young Doctor who wants to save lives to insecurity.
He died 24 hours after his graduation. After 8 years of struggle in the jungle called Nigeria.

He was stabbed by armed robbers and died of stab wounds right in front of a government teaching hospital- LUTH.

Controversial Actress Tonto Dikeh, is set to face the Inspector General of Police, over illegal sales of Olakunle CHurchill's property.

Tonto Dikeh may face the law over the alleged forgery of car documents and illegal sales of a Prado SUV vehicle, belonging to the company of her Ex Husband, Dr. Olakunle Churchill.

According to a letter submitted by Ace Solicitors, Churchill's Lawyer, on the 4th of April to the office of the Inspector General of Police, the said vehicle was acquired by Dr. Churchill through his organisation, Big Church Group at the cost 22million. The vehicle was however, converted to home use, when the Actress got delivered of their child, Andre.

After the Divorce, he left the white Prado SUV toyota Jeep, which she thereafter forged ownership documents of the car and eventually sold it. However, Dr. Olakunle's counsel made this submission to the police, not because he was interested in having the vehicle back, but just to keep the police informed, so as not be dragged into any issue over whatever the vehicle may be used for, since he wasn't aware of the transaction or even the person that acquired the vehicle.

Former Nigeria striker Osaze Odemwingie has announced his retirement from football at UEFA’s Equal Game conference at Wembley on Wednesday.

On his retirement, Osaze Odemwingie was quoted as saying by Skysports,

“It’s an emotional day, so many memories go through your head.

“I didn’t know how to do it or where to do it, but I think this is the right place to do it.

“Wembley is a place with a lot of history in football.”

His last professional appearances came for Indonesian side Madura United in 2017, he also revealed that he intends to embark on a coaching career.

“The next chapter is slowly building up to a coaching career and hopefully I will be coaching in the Premier League one day,” he said.

A pregnant N-Power volunteer, was allegedly beaten up by a Head of Department, in Christ School, Ado-Ekiti.

According to Twitter user, @ekitireporters, who made the allegations on the social media platform, the HOD beat up the pregnant N-Power staff because she refused to invigilate an exams.

The HOD who was simply identified as, Mrs Jimoh, was not in the same department as the N-Power staff, but requested that she invigilate an examination for her.

How pregnant NPower staff was beaten up by Christ School, Ado-Ekiti HOD

The incident occurred yesterday within the school premises. The story goes.

The HOD is Mrs Jimoh (HOD Humanities, Christ School, Ado Ekiti.

The Npower staff, who is pregnant and in Counselling department of the school, was asked to invigilate in an exam hall by the HOD of another department.

The pregnant lady told the HOD she won't be able to take up the offer, and this led to an argument between the pair

The pregnant NPower staff's argument was that, she could not invigilate because of her health, and that she wasn't posted to the said department

The other counselors pleaded with Mrs Jimoh not to force the lady to invigilate.

This annoyed the HOD who began to beat the Npower staff.

Many people within the staff room, begged the HOD to stop but she didn't

This is injustice and if we all keep quiet, this kind of treatment will continue and it could be anyone.

Blackface has been enjoying a bit of fame since the feud between himself and 2face Idibia kick-started.

But he is now enjoying a whole lot more fame since his he dropped the trending diss track “War” for 2face which is causing a lot of frenzy on the internet.

Blackface’s name as a result of the diss track has been on virtually every music lovers’ lips as he has switched the saga between himself &
2baba to a whole new level with the release of the diss track.

The former Plantashun Boiz member is trying to get another shot at fame once again since he faded out in the early 2000s, and with what his latest single, “War” is currently doing for him regarding relevance and fame, the singer has decided to drop the second part of the song to help fully re-launch his music career.

Although there is a legal case he is being currently faced with after 2face and his manager filed a law suit against him, the singer seems unfazed by it as he is trying to get on the good side of fame again.

Diamond Bank Plc. (“Diamond Bank”) announces that the Federal High Court of Nigeria has on March 19, 2019 sanctioned the Scheme of Merger pursuant to which Access Bank Plc will acquire the entire issued share capital of Diamond Bank through a cash and share exchange (the “Merger”).

All conditions to the Merger, including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulatory approvals have been satisfied and the Scheme is now effective.

The Scheme record time was 6.00 p.m. (Nigerian time) on 19 March 2019, and no transfers of Diamond Bank shares is expected after this time.

Trading in the shares of Diamond Bank has been suspended on The Nigerian Stock Exchange effective March 20, 2019.

Diamond Bank further announces that the Directors hereby seize to be Directors of the dissolved Diamond Bank Plc effective March 19, 2019.

The Merger is expected to be completed on 1 April 2019. Full details of the Merger, including the terms and conditions of the Scheme and the Merger, are set out in the Scheme Document dated 24 January 2019.

Simi has just announced that she will be dropping her album exactly a month from now as she wants us to immediately start the countdown.

The super-talented singer took to Instagram just moments ago to make the announcement. She she also reveals the name of the album which she titles; “Omo Charlie Champagne” will be dropping on the 19th of April, 2019, a day which happens to be the exact day she was born.

She wrote; “On the day that i was born, my next album will be born.” This means we should be expecting the release of this album on Simi’s birthday.

“Omo Charlie Champagne” would be Simi’s sophomore album as she already had one; the award-winning “Simisola” which was released in 2017.

This definitely is news that will excite Simi’s fans and music fans in general as they all know they will definitely be treated to a project that will be full of beautiful renditions.
