Remember this is a bad order in NIGER STATE that is about to burn (not the whole North).
I remember in Bauchi, Hisbal raid an hotel and carried prostitutes (after brutally beating some stubborn once badly). The Commander came out totally angry with the women. Unfortunately he ask them to speak why they are not living moral lifestyle and they explained in very graphic languages that they are single women with kids and their children needs to foooqin eat... That disarmed him because he knew he had no solution to their problem and can't even help or judge them, so he freed them with promises.
The Niger Governor don't have any solution/idea. To the hunger. It was an emotional decision (may be he saw malnutrition/reality with his eyes)
Feed a man today he comes tomorrow. As for oil, that FG and International Investment property, they no burn any governor to stop it (when big money in involved). Look for something specific to private businesses from Niger state to stop or confiscate.
Myself2: The totally distracted condictive balablu government led by someone that ordinarily should be in EFCC net. He is only after Emefiele because of the currency redesign that affected him adversely
One of the 20 charges against him is that he gave contracts to his relatives. Meanwhile Buhari gave his naira re-colouring contract to his Aisha's brother with no experience.
Jail the houseboy and his wife but ignore his oga that ordered him to tiff and print fake "re-coloured" naira note.
They keep changing his charges (after spending months looking for what to charge him with)... Carry bushari and his in-laws, then we know you are serious.
oxygeng: na lazy copper be this one, for those who have done teaching before, she is purely at disadvantage in that position, and also completely obstructing the students. having the board on your stomach level means you have to stoop which she is not doing, na i don care person be this one.
She should dictate and only write big words with her foot on the ground.
smileyoo: but if there is surplus produce of farm products as it used to be, the traders will have no choice than to sell it at the normal price. all these that this governor is doing is just a window dressing, that will have it own negative consequences.
True Benue and Plateau (our main source) would never allow supply to be over due to continues bloodshed/insecurity
Feintline: Under Jonathan, Fuel was 160 Dollar was 216 200 (black market) Bag of rice was 12000.
Pa Soyinka and his likes were not pleased and they hit the street.
Now petrol is 690 Dollar is 1500 Bag of rice is 60K
When is pa soyinka and his fellows hitting the street? All of a sudden our nobel peace winner and his likes can no longer talk. Tribalism has destroyed Nigeria. Shame on you all.
These men and their likes deceived us for too long. We did not know they are the biggest problems in Nigeria.
smileyoo: without the government addressing the issue of national insecurities, especially the killings of farmers in their farmlands, nothing will force people to farm, not even hunger will force the citizens to go to farm. why is the APC government reluctant to face the real problems confronting Nigerians, especially farmers, which is national insecurities ? it's not fair to be blaming Nigerians of laziness, because average Nigerian had never ever depends on the government for anything, but the irresponsibility of the FG in protecting the lives of Nigerians, especially farmers, had created toxic environment for every Nigerian, especially farmers. the heinous activities of Fulani -herdsmen terrorists across the nation need to be checkmated by the government urgently, at this crucial period, this government has no more choice than to do the right thing.
All the traders say it is mostly transportation. They must survive. They must make a profit. If after selling they are at a lose, then why spend energy and time selling? So they artificially increase price until it is worth opening shop.
I know it is not the trader fault but I can't help hate them for the WEEKLY increase of food stuff... That is how all the poor are looking at middle-class.
Coldspice: With which ID will you open? Mention 3 West African countries where they allow you to open dorm accounts.
Many of you are not exposed. Try the nonsense you try here in other countries and see if they won't wreck your life.
CBN intentionally use big useless grammar. I just checked my domiciliary account via app and my dollars are in tact so no need to go to neighboring country... and please if I have to, I would. Have you seen Mali passport? It is almost A4 paper (ID is not a problem in countries that 50% of their population depend on charity).... Mali, Chad, Niger (anti-ECOWAS and France seeking inflow) but it is not necessary.
CBN/Banks would not give us physical dollars over the counter but we can even go next door, transfer or do transactions with our dollars in the domiciliary account. No problem.
makemoneywbsite: Even Copilot does a better job than Bard. Google is just a big name dassol. ChatGPTs main problem is not being up-to-date in terms of recent happenings.
The free version is GTP3 (good but its data is from 2022 backward). GTP4 and the coming GTP5 are updated....
Google is replacing Bard with Gemini (got the message from Google yesterday). Never yet test em to know how good it is (but Gemini is up-to-dated)
Throwback: The next step is to outlaw forex processing for foreign education for a minimum of 10yrs.
Any Nigerian that wants to be educated abroad should look for the money abroad.
We have schools here that can take those huge amounts of Naira we employ to buy forex for UK or American or Canadian education.
We need to jump-start our tertiary education system with better infrastructure, improved quality of education, improved salaries, and improved school fees.
Tough times require tough measures.
Lets keep limiting the fellow negros... meanwhile asia are taking over.
jmoore: Can't the government be sued for this? Person send dollar, you are forcefully converting it to naira at your own rate, not the rate of the receiver.
Legal robbery!
The clueless people that brought this idea will end up pushing many people to other platforms that can't be captured officially.
It's like giving a driver passel to drop and the driver converted the item/gadget to the rice equivalent. What if they don't want agricultural product and they need the gadget for work?
Forkthiefnubu: The aboki jiahadist seems to know more about liberal economics than the fake lagos wiz kids, i have always known that these scare face boys are full of hot air
Worst than taxation as if the money from overseas is free money and not earned.
We don't spend dollars in Nigeria. Collect the naira equivalent and spend.
Why government will tolerate that rubbish is quite puzzling.
Nigeria is about the only foolish country that tolerate that nonsense. No sense of economic security.
Next is to ensure domiciliary accounts only get credited with foreign currencies from international transfer to cater for those who work rotations abroad or those who work remotely, and once the account is credited, any amount beyond a certain threshold should be converted to Naira, while whatever is left should be taxed at a monthly rate that ensures that the money is reduced to half of what was left as a foreign currency in the domiciliary account. That will help discourage any plan to retain forex as a means to store wealth in the domiciliary account
This double blow will ensure that those stockpiling forex cash do not have anywhere to offload it within the Nigerian economy.
All forex trading outside of the banking system should carry life imprisonment for economic treason.
I can vouch that 50% of all the forex trading going on in the past 6months, is not serving any economic purpose besides storing wealth.
They didn't steal the money. They earn it in dollar.
Hope this law doesn't affect domiciliary account or I would have to go other functional west african country to open account.
Malroux: Audio food reserve. APC will share one mudu of rice and beans full of stones and they will claim it is from the food reserve. Ebola Tinubu is the worst calamity to have ever befallen Nigeria.
Remember the Oba of Lagos and his love for Indomie?
matify83: You, supporting kids denigrating the number one office of the land and its occupant shows the kind of convoluted upbringing you must have had.
For your information, the number one office commands respect whether you like it or not. The office does not earn it like you spuriously asserted.
Mr. Man, your post is nauseating and depicts someone who has not seen the four walls of a tertiary institution to be certified worthy of CHARACTER much less LEARNING.
"We are building a generation of illiterates. They are the first to comment on the internet on issues they are ignorant about"..... Prof. Wole Soyinka.
Maybe you are fighting your conscience but you are not well upstairs.
Go and command respect na. Who is stopping you from commanding respect.
matify83: Now, you have resorted to barbarism to hide your intellectual incapacition haven't you?
“I don’t deal in social media. As far as I’m concerned, barbarians have taken over social media and they have swapped the intellectual quotient which used to make and still make social media valid in other societies. Here in this country, social media has been dragged down to the lowest common denominator..... Prof. Wole Soyinka.
Wole Soyinka was a con man and not a mad man like you. At least he profited GREATLY from all his bullshit. What are you gaining calling his name like a prophet or god?
The best advertisement for molly. I need to get that molly, now...
It's like those reporters at AriseTV studio, they need to tell us the secret to their happiness. How can you report on the state of Nigeria and still smile joyfully?
Googledotcom: We have upgraded, we no longer use generator. Na darkness and heat we dey now. Who get money to buy fuel after spending salary for transport companies.
I don park my Gen for one corner since may last year.
Due to inflation, I sold my gen 8+ years after I bought/used it for the exact amount I bought it and the mechanic rushed it. I refused to show receipt.
