Brendaniel: I was suspecting it will be in the north and I was right, the man was bringing 50 million to deposit, they asked him what has he been doing since?
If this man who is not a politician can still have such amount with him, you can imagine what evil politicians will still be having with them. You now see why they are crying up and down, vote buying gone wrong.
loosecanon50: All of a sudden Emefiele follows Buhari everywhere he goes. I’m liking this new Buhari
He knows his run was hell on earth so he wants to leave office on a good note by witch-hunting all those thieves who stockpiled naira in their houses. Ride on Buhari
The oga at the top has ordered him to make cashless policy now or forgot about organ transplant when he needs one. It's not personal. They can track our behavior and also tax us.
Today I discovered that even Buhari cannot stop this new naira note swap...
Tinubu has lost international support for going again the implementation of a CASHLESS ECONOMY
10pm, shops are about to close and many hardly have 2k in cash (some don't have 500 naira cash)... Good luck trying to withdraw money over the counter at the bank. If you are lucky, you would remove 20k otherwise they give 2k (the original plans before the lawmakers got involved and make him raise the limit to 50k theoretically). Banks needs to start cutting staff.
cedricksly: lol brooooooo please stop playing.. Opay has a full blown customer care office... Where do u think their POS are stored or agents are working from? Palmpay security is shaby, coz they don't do due deligence during verification, so can only recommend it for emergency funds and daily expenditure... But u see Opay, it is on another level, everything is top notch, have visited their office more than a dozen times... Very soon wen this cashless policy is on 100% implementation, most banks brick and motar stores will close up and go fully digital more than 50% brick and mortar will code down... And for transaction failure I have had it couple of times and it does not exceed 2 to 12 hour after complaint before u have it reverted to u.. Brooooo don't sleep on Opay
I didn't know of this... Indeed banks would soon be in trouble especially as they keep deducting a lot of money for each transaction.
cedricksly: disadvantage of having just one bank account like mumu Zenith. Any serious person right now would have at least one wallet account like Opay, Palmpay etc...
I don't recommend those guys. Although they give bonuses and don't charge like bank (banks are looting my account with charges), Opay and whatever do NOT have office, they do NOT have a human at their customer care section... If transaction ever fails, it is gameover.
Racoon: Imagine the CBN of a countryreporting to a president that is answerable to the Nigerian constitution telling a country it is not accountable to the Apex court in the land?
The judicial chaos, anarchy, impunity, illegality, brigandage and lawlessness visited upon this failed nation by the APC is unprecedented.
Let the so called Supreme Court impost their power if they have any.
Now, when the people resist, there will be a breakdown and the elections won’t hold as scheduled.
This does not serve some of the candidates and so, they will ensure otherwise.
If Nigerians protest, they will not only be resisted by the country’s security apparatus, even Oluomo would help to quell such protests.
In April 2022, Pastor Adeboye did say that the 2023 election might not hold.
Follow him to resist, we would post pictures of your deadbody here on nairaland... Learn from EndSARS and ask Tinubu to give you weapons or do the protest by himself.
funb01: This lingering cash scarcity will only encourage vote buying. As much as I want obi to win, vote-buying is definitely going to work against his performance in some regions of the country.
So, he should stop talking on other issues and focus more on condemning vote buying.
He looks like someone who isn't interested in buying votes, so he should start using it as a campaign tool.
they stop campaign 99% have already made up their minds
Nnamaka1: Hmmmm, Heartless Nigerians with conscience?? Please how does that work sef??
I meant many are cold and a few (totally different sets) have a conscience.
It doesn't have to be violence like a POS agent that can takes 2k out of 10k and sleeps peacefully at night, or a pastor that wears ugly designer cloth but still making hungry worshipers feel guilty for not giving him their money.
Redhot0007: Advice To Igbos Please do not participate in their protest wherever you are across Nigeria. Comply to whatever rule of CBN. Do not allow any protest in alaigbo. Remove yourself from anywhere there's protest. Be guided. Use your sense.
Please repeat that louder. Especially the youths needs to understand this.
