Oil tycoon, Folorunso Alakija’s new N60bn luxury tower ready 21st May 2022 Oil tycoon, Folorunso Alakija’s new N60bn luxury tower ready 0 Apostle Folorunso Alakija is unarguably one of the female entrepreneurs in the world taking charge of their financial futures and changing the rules of the game. Although their net worth has been affected by recent economic tension, most of them have been growing their wealth through responsible and sustainable investing. And Alakija is a great example. As she creams off more wealth from the volatile oil and gas sector, the Ikorodu, Lagos-born billionaire has been growing her investment in the high-yielding luxury property business too. Her real estate firm, Dayspring Property Development Company, has a rich portfolio including the Rose of Sharon Tower in Victoria Island and Project Delta in Ikoyi. But her latest and completed project is the FAMFA Tower which is the flagship. The one-of-a-kind curvaceous skyscraper has changed the skyline of the highbrow Alfred Rewane Road in Ikoyi that hosted several iconic high-rise buildings with its significant presence. The 22-floor edifice —said to cost over N60 billion— is reportedly self-financed by the oil tycoon with no loans from any bank. The edifice will be used for commercial purposes with the last five floors strictly for Alakija’s personal and corporate use, and the rest rented out to interested tenants. Built by Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, amenities and features provided in the tower designed to make it as structurally efficient as possible include: a gymnasium, helipad (with a dedicated waiting lounge), 266 car park spaces, raised access floors, and select granite finishes. The building’s façade comprises extensive high-performance unitized curtain walling with integrated façade lighting, ballistic performance considerations in select areas, and aluminium cladding. 100% Natural Herbs to Finally End Premature Ejaculation, Weak Erection and Small Manhood. >>>Click Here for Details<<< . Alakija’s first venture was a fashion label —Supreme Stitches— whose customers included notable power brokers and their spouses. In 1993, the 71-year old woman’s fortune changed when she got an oil prospecting licence which was later converted to an oil mining lease leading to the birth of Famfa Oil, a Nigerian oil exploration company with a stake in Agbami Oilfield, a prolific offshore asset. https://www.sunnewsonline.com/oil-tycoon-folorunso-alakijas-new-n60bn-luxury-tower-ready/

In 2012, at the launching of a book, “Contemporary issues in Nigerian constitutional law,” a series of essays compiled in honour of Osinbajo, Asiwaju said that but for Osinbajo, his political career would have nosedived. According to Tinubu: “The capability and firmness of Osinbajo in my time of travail made me to triumph against every plan by my detractors to destroy my image and career" Tinubu said that he would have been nailed for the offence he did not commit if Osinbajo was not available to defend him. “Osinbajo brought his knowledge of constitutional law and stood by me even at the time when some of my commissioners were planning to resign from the cabinet. He indulged my politics and allowed it to flourish in the face of detractors,” he said. He added that Osinbajo was the best decision he ever made in his political career, describing him as the biggest weapon in his political armoury. “Osinbajo encouraged me to create 37 Local Council Development Areas with his astounding knowledge of constitutional law. I could challenge the Federal Government because of the capability of the professor of law,” Tinubu said. https://nigerianbulletin.com/threads/how-prof-osinbajo-saved-me-from-toronto-university-certificate-scandal-tinubu.235593/

Man Absconds From Marriage Ceremony Due To Extortions And Incessant Demands By In-laws In Isiala Ngwa, Abia State Drama as bridegroom walks out of engagement ceremony in Isiala Ngwa due to extortion. He paid N1,500,000 to cater for food, tents, chairs and a public address system. He was also made to set aside N100,000 as the bride price that the two families had agreed on. Okwudili was asked to add N50,000 to the bride price because he had already impregnated the girl. He was slapped with a N10,000 fine for making a detour to the wrong path and ending up in a different homestead instead of the girl's. He was also asked to pay N15,000 to appease the elders who had become tired of waiting for his arrival. Drama however ensued when twelve girls covered in loose robes from head to toe were paraded before Okwudili and he was asked to guess who his fiancée was. He pointed at the wrong woman and that lead to yet another fine of N15,000 thrice The decisive moment specifically was when the elders demanded for a refund of the total sum of N850,000 that had been paid as the girl's school fees and upkeep since she started primary school! Fuming with anger which he tried his best to hide, Okwudili excused himself to visit a nearby latrine and disappeared! He switched off his phone and was last seen in a bus heading to Lagos from Owerri. https://www.facebook.com/100001914677896/posts/7503791309694617/

Missing Abuja Corper: I Killed Stephanie to Have Her Husband all to Myself - Jennifer You remember the story of the missing Abuja Youth Corper who was declared missing and her body later found after mutilation and her little son that was with her was also found around Maitama? Anyway the latest statement from the FCT police command has it that one of the arrested suspected ( a lady ) has confessed being behind the murder She arranged the killing because she wants to keep Stephanie's husband to herself The Sad Story Of Stephanie Se-Ember Terungwa...A Crime Of Passion Stephanie was beautiful and at 26 her life was just starting. She was serving in Abuja where she lived with the love of her life Edward Achadu with their one year five months old son. On April 14th 2022 she stepped out with her son to go for her CDS. She planned stopping by at Jennifer's place on her way to her CDS. Jennifer had earlier called her to come get a phone. Jennifer was someone she knew through her husband Edward. Edward had introduced her as his friend. What Stephanie didn't know however was that Edward and Jennifer used to date. Now Edward had moved on to Stephanie and Jennifer was having none of it. Unknown to Stephanie, Jennifer had hatched a plan with her accomplices to abduct and kill her so as to have Edward all to herself. So on that particular day in April when Stephanie dropped by, she was grabbed and tied. Jennifer then bathed her with acid which led to her death. Having successfully completed their hideous task, they dumped her body on a deserted road at about 3am. Her son was however abandoned at a Catholic Church. When Stephanie didn't show up for her CDS, a missing persons report was filled by her colleagues. They also launched a campaign on social media. Her dilapidated corpse was however found some weeks later by the Police. Because her body was found still in her NYSC khaki uniform they figured this must be the missing Corper they've been looking for. Her husband was brought in to identify the body. Which he positively did. Jennifer and her accomplices are now in Police net. It is not however known if Stephanie's husband was in the know of the plan to kill his wife. One question to ask though is "was Edward still in a romantic relationship with Jennifer after moving on with Stephanie? "....because what would make Jennifer think that by killing Stephanie, she could have Edward all to herself if not that they were still seeing each other? Another question to ask would be what made Edward leave Jennifer in the first place? Was it because Stephanie got pregnant for him in a case of an away match gone wrong? Questions and more questions.... ©Dr Emmanuel Utomi https://www.facebook.com/100004953812977/posts/2065370953638012/ The world is so scaryhttps://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02mZ5NcmqTWTZxyBThcceKtUrFCAcAVp3XvQqKQBZ326L7hobDhL88KuzRfwp3BdkNl&id=100004953812977

Sudan: Christian couple face 100 lashes following husband’s conversion. by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent (Worthy News) – A Sharia court of law in Sudan may punish a formerly Muslim married couple with 100 lashes for “adultery” following the husband’s conversion to Christianity, Morning Star News (MSN) reports. Hamouda Tia Kafi and Nada Hamad Shukralah of Sudan’s Al Jazirah state were both Muslims when they married in 2016, MSN said. However, when Kafi became a Christian in 2018 Shukralah’s family successfully petitioned a Sharia court of law to annul their marriage. In 2021 Shukralah also converted to Christianity and returned to live with Kafi, MSN reports. Shukralah’s conversion and return to Kafi enraged her brother, who had the couple charged with adultery under Article 146 of Sudan’s 1991 criminal law. Given that their marriage was annulled in 2018, Kafi and Shukralah are being dealt with by a Sharia court of law as unmarried people who committed adultery – a crime which carries a sentence of flogging and expulsion from their home. The hearing in their case is set for May 12, MSN said. In a website statement about the persecution of Sudanese Christians since Sudan’s 2019 coup which ousted dictator Omar al-Bashir, the Open Doors advocacy group said: “The situation Sudanese Christians has somewhat improved in the sense that the government has changed its policy of considering Christians enemies and agents of the West. [However], persecution remains incredibly high in Sudan… the government has not put real protections into place for Christians and other religious minorities.” Sudan ranks 13th on the US Open Doors World Watch List 2022 of the top 50 countries where Christians are persecuted. BREAKING: Court Refuses Emefiele’s Request To Restrain INEC, AGF Over Presidential Ambition A Federal High Court in Abuja has refused the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele’s request to restrain the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami preventing him from his Presidential Ambition. The CBN Governor on Monday told the Court in Abuja that he can run for the post of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria without vacating his position as the CBN Governor. The CBN Governor through his Counsel, Mike Ozekhome, told the court that Section 84 ((12) of the Electoral Act as amended, 2022 does not affect him, being a public servant and not a political appointee. The court in its ruling, however, summonsed INEC, and AGF to appear before it on May 12, to show cause on why status quo antebellum, should not be granted to the CBN Governor. oluchi https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.channelstv.com/2022/05/09/breaking-court-refuses-emefieles-request-to-restrain-inec-agf-over-presidential-ambition/amp/ |

Do not judge a book by its cover!! I attended one PhD exit seminar at BSU and the student dressed this way to the presentation. The lecturers were all angry at him and began to rain insults. He stood crying as they said horrible things about him. When they were done, he began "Standing before you today that I am defending my PhD Thesis is a miracle no one else can do except God. Today is the most special day of my life and I know I have to look my best. I actually did, I wore my best cloths. Standing before you is the son of a very wealthy man whose parents died in a motor accident when he was 9 years old and in primary 4. His late parents left him with 2 younger sisters. The eldest was 6 while the youngest was 4 when they died. All my parents had, was inherited by my father's younger brother and he threw us out of the house. There was no one to run to. We survived it and I promised myself, me and my sisters must get the best of education. I went to a community school in Ushongo where I work on people's farms in the evening to feed my sisters and later worked in the construction site to make sure they both attended and graduated at Federal Government Girls college Gboko. My sister's sold fried yam and ice fish in Gboko and saw me through school in Uni Agric Makurdi. When I graduated, I thought a job will come and our lives will change. That didn't happen and my sisters insisted I go for M.Sc. I finished my programme at the University of Ilorin in 2017 came here for the scholarship while also insisting my sisters take their JAMB and enroll into the university. Yes, we have God fighting for us and they all passed and are admitted here in BSU. The eldest is in Geography while her kid sister is in Law. The load is all on me. Many of you my lecturers may not even know me because I am not always in class. The little I make goes for their school fees, feeding and accommodation. They have made sacrifices for me and I owe them this education. Profs., Drs, pls pardon me. I know where designer suits are sold in Modern Market but I have to appear before you this way because my sisters would drop out of this university if I do...." Everyone was shocked and heads down. A lady Doctor couldn't hold her tears. She had to stop him from telling his story and asked the sisters should pack into her house in town no one is occupying since she is staying in the Staff Quarters. The guy defended his Thesis perfectly and everyone in the hall stood up clapping for him and admiring his strength, courage and resilience. Stories behind many looks will shock us. ©Gabriel Gabito Akume
