The Reasons Why It Is Dangerous To Give An Accident Victim Water To Drink Some of you would be confuse when you meet an accident victim. Some accident victims normally ask for water immediately they are hurt by a vehicle or an object, but giving them water is helping to kill the person. Before now, have you ever thought of the reason behind why Accident victims always request for water after having an accident? Have you also fathomed why accident victims dies immediately after drinking the water they requested for? I know that water is life, but not on the case of accident. You should know this. Below are the reasons why you should never give an accident victim that is bleeding water to drink. The reason why Water is cancelled on this case is because the injured victim has lost much blood as caused by the accident and because of the loss of blood, the person now has little blood in his or her system. The little blood in the system is what keeps them amidst the accident. Giving them water will cool the remaining blood in them and the person may die. When someone is bleeding internally, The person will surely request for water because of haemovascular anomaly. haemovascular anomaly is as a result of the internal bleeding. When you obey their call and give the person water, he or she would experience blood discharge immediately. The thing you are to do to an accident victim is to rush the person to any close hospital so that the person would receive anesthesia injection. It will make The person to be relieved of pains. Another reason why giving water to Accident victims is bad is because it increases the person's Blood pressure and when this happens, the wounds starts opening because the bloods would be pressured to pop out of the body. So, don't give bleeding accident victims water to drink no matter how thirsty they are. Richard Anigboro First Aid Instructor/Trainer |

NIGERIA’S 1ST FEMALE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEMBER Chief Wuraola Adepeju Esan (1909–1985) was a Nigerian politician, feminist, and teacher. By serving as the 10th Iyalode of Ibadan, she combined her political ambitions with those of a traditional noblewoman. Wuraola Adepeju Esan was born in Calabar in 1909 and attended Baptist Girls College in Idi Aba, Abeokuta, before transferring to United Missionary College to pursue a diploma in teacher training. In 1934, she married Victor Esan and they lived in Lagos for a short time. She returned to her hometown of Ibadan a few years later. Although educational opportunities for women were limited during the colonial era, Esan founded the Ibadan People's Girls Grammar School in Molete in 1944 to educate women in a variety of subjects, including domestic science. In the 1950s, she became involved in partisan politics as a member of the Action Group's women's wing. Despite the fact that women were important tools for gaining votes, few were given official power and party-wide responsibility. Esan, on the other hand, rose through the ranks to become the first female member of the Nigerian National Assembly in 1960, as a senator from Ibadan West. She was a founding member of the National Council of Women Societies as well. In 1975, she became the 10th Iyalode of Ibadan – a high-rank traditional office that was first occupied by Iyalode Subuola around the year 1850. Gossip House

THE Lagos red line is expected to cater to a million passengers daily when completed. This was disclosed by the Managing Director of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), Mrs Abimbola Akinajo, during a panel session on rail transport at the National Transport Technology Conference and Exhibition, which held in Eko Hotels, Lagos, on June 8, 2022. She said, “A study has been conducted on the red line that it should serve a million passengers, while the blue line should serve 750,000 passengers a day.” The LAMATA boss also noted that the rail lines would not only be sustainable, they would reduce carbon emissions greatly when they begin operations. She noted that the blue rail line would be electric, while the engine of the red line, though would run on diesel, can be converted to electric to tie into the plan of reducing combustion in the mega city. Lagos rail. Managing Director of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), Mrs Abimbola Akinajo Managing Director of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), Mrs Abimbola Akinajo Akinajo explained that building the rail lines had not been so smooth as the workers encountered many challenges in the process. She was grateful that her predecessors had keyed into the vision of the rail masterplan with the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) to allow seamless operations. She said, “Lagos Is a small land area and it is highly populated. The first challenge is securing the right of way. However, securing your corridor is a big challenge.” She mentioned that the cost of the rail line and every other thing involved in it was also another challenge the authority faced. An example, she added, was that workers had to be very cautious while building the tracks in order not to destroy public utilities like underground pipes. She said, “We are sharing track with the NRC on the red line from Agbado to Ebute Meta. And then we would be building our own independent track from Ebute Meta to Oyingbo. The final one is when we move from Oyingbo to Marina.” The LAMATA boss advocated for rail as the best form of mass transit transportation. She said the government was committed to completing all rail projects, as well as the monorail it promised. This development, she said, would bring about more jobs. In a recent interview, Akinajo had disclosed that the Marina shoreline area of the blue line railway project was at 85 per cent completion. She said that all the piers would be completed between June and July 2022, while all the tracks would be laid in readiness for the final completion by November. https://www.icirnigeria.org/lagos-red-rail-line-to-take-1m-passengers-daily/
