STATE HOUSE PRESS STATEMENT NAF 001, PRESIDENTIAL AIRCRAFT IS AT THE SERVICE OF THE PRESIDENT - GARBA SHEHU The Presidency is constrained to decry criticisms, mostly on social media, on the retention in London of the Presidential Aircraft, NAF 001 as mostly informed by lack of understanding of protocol around foreign trips by Heads of State all over the world. It is important to state that for reasons of protocol, national security, diplomacy and prestige, there is no world leader who travels abroad and is left without plans for immediate return or possible evacuation. From operational point of view, this country’s Armed Forces as represented by the Nigeria Air Force are not to abandon their Commander-In-Chief in whichever circumstance he is. This is a standard operating procedure. We have also read claims about outrageous fees allegedly paid by Nigeria. The published amounts are totally untrue. Aircraft conveying heads of state all over the world usually enjoy waivers even where payments for parking are differentiated by aircraft categories. We been assured that where the waiver is not granted, payment will not exceed £1,000, which is a quarter of the amount being peddled. For the avoidance of doubt, this President is not the first to have a presidential aircraft standing by for him, as he will certainly not be the last. All past Heads of this country have had this privilege, and the part that surprises the most is that leaders who in the past travelled with three Nigerian aircraft did not suffer this trenchant criticism. We appeal to Nigerians to ignore opposition campaign aimed at derailing this administration's big plans for the country. This is a government that is constructing the Second Niger Bridge, the Mambila Power Plant, the East-West and the North-South standard gauge railway lines. We are a government that has saved this country an annual loss of two trillion Naira from fraudulent petroleum subsidy schemes by influential citizens and their children, and rid the public service of about 50,000 ghost workers. The Buhari administration certainly deserves a chance. GARBA SHEHU Special Senior Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity) June 29, 2017. |

Sex does not relieve menstrual pain – Expert By Ag. Editor - June 7, 2017 Contrary to popular believe that sex can easy menstrual pains, an expert Executive Director, Young Mothers Empowerment Network, Mrs. Taiwo Ayenuro, has said that sex does not relieve menstrual pain. She noted that sex education empowers youths to make healthy decisions and it prevents them from being misled. Ayenuro said this on Saturday during a programme with the theme, ‘Demystifying Sexuality Education in Faith-based Centres’, organised for teenagers in Lagos. She said, “Comprehensive sexuality education is a planned process of education that fosters the acquisition of factual information of positive attitudes, beliefs and values as well as development of skills. “If we don’t talk about sex and sexuality, young people have their way of getting information from friends and the Internet. Rather than deform the child, sex education empowers and enables him or her to make healthy choices. For example, there us the myth that having sex relieves menstrual cramp and back ache. But there are painkillers and you simply need to stop taking sugar. “We decided to train young people in faith-based centres because many of them in private schools are not being captured during our advocacy programmes. Most of the schools that we visit are government-owned because there is also bureaucracy in private schools. So, the logical thing is to come to a place where young people and their parents go.’’ https://nationalaccordnewspaper.com/sex-not-relieve-menstrual-pain-expert/ |
lordkit400:Hallelujah is all-out Biblical. This new idea is demonic challenge. Rosary is derived from the ancient Babylonian religion which was Instituted to challenge the Most High. How I wish it will be another complimentary and godly idea. However, this one is actually a challenge to anything Hallelujah. It shows they were grieved with thT Hallelujah thing. |
AGONY OF DR.IDONG UDOM My Abductors Bribed Police At 19 Check Points Before Taking Me Into Their Den – Dr. Idongesit Udom The Proprietor of Sure of Foundation Polytechnic, Dr. Idongesit Udom has made shocking revelations about his journey with his abductors to their den. Dr. Idongesit Udom who was recently released by his abductors after chopping off his hand revealed that his abductors bribed policemen with a sum of N2,000 at every checkpoint and had a free way to their den. Dr. Udom who revealed this during an interview recently, said with a bribe of N2,000 given to the police at every check point, his abductors were able to drive pass 19 check points without being caught. According to him, “The first day, I was driven away from Ukanafun at 9.50amand they took me along Aba Road. We drove through a bush for about one hour, then some of them went to check if the road was clear. When they returned, we continued the journey. We arrived at our destination around 11.30pm. They took me to a storey building and kept me on the ground floor, under the staircase. It is a well-built compound with double fencing. I don’t know who built that kind of house and handed it over to the kidnappers. One funny thing is that they drove past 19 police checkpoints without being caught. Whenever they approached the checkpoints, they would come down and give the policemen N2,000 and passed. I was tied down on the floor of the Siena”. Speaking about his travails in his abductors’ den, Dr. Idongesit Udom said he was chained, put in a dark room throughout his days in his abductors den and exposed to emissions from generating set. He also revealed that his abductors believed in the efficacy of prayer and had forced him to pray for them so that they would not be caught by security agents who were searching for them. According to him: “When the officers came to two buildings away from where I was kept, they told me that as an Elder in the church, I should pray that they should not enter the compound we were in. they threatened me that if they entered, they would cut off my neck and put my body in a well in the compound where the security personnel would not be able to see me. I knelt down and started praying. I told God not to allow the officers enter the compound because I wanted my body to be buried in Ukanafun. I was not sure of life again when they came with their knives and guns and surrounded me”. Dr. Idongesit Udom said his abductors decided to cut his hand when it became obvious to them that policemen were tracking them. “That night was my 31 days in captivity. Then they became uncomfortable and said since my children were tracking them, they would release me but with my leg and hand cut off. I pleaded with them not to cut my leg and hand but to kill me and leave my remains on the main road where the police officers would see them. I blessed them for keeping me alive for 31 days. I blessed them for the BP drugs and for the sausage. “We left the house for the bush around 9.35pm. There were no buildings and people there. They asked me to lie down. I did and they folded my shirt, trousers and cut my hand in one heavy strike. They did not want me to say anything and because of all the blessings and pleadings, when their leader wanted to cut my leg, two out of the four men who came that day held him and said, “this man is already over 62, he would not even survive with one hand, because from here to Aba-Umuahia road is over an hour walk,” Dr Udom bemoaned. |

Nenejeje:Almost a century (89 years) that Christian movements have been establishing schools, the Allahic never found there feet to establish one. Christians have been too kind. They allowed these people access to secondary education for 89 years. Universities from churches are springing up now at almost ratio 20:1 Christian/Muslim AND all we are hearing is 'churches are reaping there members off'without corresponding efforts of theirs. NB-We will not allow government take -over of these universities as you did to our pry and secondary schools. |

1. Mr. Fashola said that this displays very stark and worrisome gaps in knowledge of the spokesperson about the budget... 2. According to Mr. Fashola, if the spokesperson was in tune with the Public Procurement Law which the National Assembly passed, he would realise that the minister has no unilateral power to award such contracts whose values are in billions of Naira,... 3. Mr. Fashola stated that the focus on contracts by the spokesperson is probably a Freudian slip that reveals his mindset and interests; when indeed he should be focused on developmental projects that strengthen the economy, which is the focus of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan endorsed by the legislature. 4. On the issue of the N20 billion provision in the Ministry’s Budget which the spokesperson alleged that the minister failed to give details of, Mr. Fashola said the spokesperson is hiding behind a finger. The minister explained that it was a very basic principle of good planning to make provision for unforeseen contingencies; 5. “In any event, allegations of half truth is only a flawed response to the constitutional and developmental issues that have plagued Nigeria from 1999 about how to budget for the critical infrastructure in Nigeria. It shows the conflict between the Executive that wants to build big Federal Highways; Bridges ; Power Plants; Rail; and Dams on one hand and Parliament that wants to do small things like bore holes, health centres , street lights and supplying grinding machines ,” he said. 6. It shows the conflict between the Executive that wants to build big Federal Highways; Bridges ; Power Plants; Rail; and Dams on one hand and Parliament that wants to do small things like bore holes, health centres , street lights and supplying grinding machines ,” he said. 7. According to the minister, being an institutional and not a personal issue, it won’t be out of place to seek a resolution of the conflict at the Supreme Court in order to protect the country’s future, because it is a clear conflict about how best to serve the people. 8. “As long as budgets planned to deliver life changing infrastructure are cut into small pieces, Nigeria will continue to have small projects that are not life changing, and big projects that have not been completed in 17 years . 9. If a project would cost N15 billion and the contractor gets only a fraction of that, then things won’t move. 10. Success should be defined by how many projects an administration is able to complete or set on the path of irreversible completion and not how many poorly funded contracts are awarded,” he said. |

A man before leaving for work, left a letter on the dining table for his wife. Chores around the house kept the woman from seeing the letter until about 12 noon. When she finally chanced on the letter she was so excited to see that her husband had taken time to write her a letter. She kissed the paper when she saw “my beautiful wife” at the top, hugged it when she saw “I love you with all my heart” at the bottom, and sniffed it when she realized it smelled of her husband’s perfume. Out of excitement, and without even bothering to read the content of the letter, she made up her mind to cook him his favorite meal for dinner that night. She quickly rushed to the kitchen and got to work. After cooking and setting the table, she went to the wash room and took a shower, put on her most attractive night gown and dressed the bed. Just as she was about to finish laying the bed her husband walked into the house. When she heard him come in she went out to welcome him. To her surprise, her husband was very furious when he saw her. She became very confused and asked why he wouldn’t even let her welcome him with a hug but instead have that angry look on his face. The husband asked, “Did you read the letter I left you on the table?” The woman responded, “Oh yes I saw it. That’s why I went through all the trouble to prepare your favorite meal for you. Thank you so much honey, it was sweet of you.” She leaned in to give him a kiss but he pushed her away to her surprise. The husband went on, “If you did, then why haven’t you done any of the things I instructed you to do?” The man went inside and came out again quickly with an already packed suit case. He headed straight for the door and said to his wife, “See you in 7 days.” The woman stood there confused but before she could utter a word, the door had slammed behind him. She went back to the dining table to take a second look at the letter. It read…… My beautiful wife, My company has asked 4 colleagues and myself to go on a seven day trip to Dubai for a training program. They said that we can bring along our wives and I thought this will be the best opportunity for us to have the honeymoon we never did after we got married. I have already packed a suit case for myself, so please pack yours. Our flight leaves at exactly 7 pm so I will be home at 6 o’clock for us to go to the airport. No need to cook dinner since there will be food on the plane. Just be prepare to go as soon as I get back. Please be ready before I get back so we don't miss the flight. I Love you with all my heart. I bet you thought this woman was unwise when you realized her mistake as you read this piece. Well unfortunately this is the state of many Christians in the Body of Christ today. We have accepted Jesus as our Lord, and are excited about being children of God and the fact that He will come back again for us one day. But we have not taken into account what He expects us to do before His return. This is because our Bibles are closed. We have read a few scriptures in the Word and are excited about promises but have completely ignored most of his instructions. You do not know a man if you do not know His Word. How then do we profess to be married to a groom whose word we have relegated to the background in the pursuit of signs and wonders. Unfortunately what many don’t know is that the Word is the power for signs and wonders, so if we go for the word these things we are chasing will chase us. Let us pay attention to His letter, which is the Word of God. It will draw us close to His desire for us and enable us to walk in victory over this world and it's challenges. *This is worth sharing. Good day. |
