If this man dies from any injury sustained from this beating, then his child or children may turn to secret terror group, picking on any lonely soldier one after another in a disguised robbery attack.
Soldiers should stop creating hardened people for the society.
This has been happening for years, they did not listen. Boko Haram became violent when soldiers and police killed their leader like a chicken, if that happens again Chief of Army Staff will be telling us story.

With the recent abuses and killings of military personnel I was starting to pity them, must they always show their brutality to the defenseless? undecided

When the civilians start taking up arms and shooting soldiers the morale they use in beating old men is no longer high again.

Dino was always destined for the big screen, since I saw him act with fake injuries and perform stunts in a police van I knew that politics wasn't his calling at all.

you now killed the person.

So you are not better than them. Same reward will be given to both of you.
Are you alright? That place is an active war zone, it's either she defends herself or allows herself to be killed and raped by animals.

A man who doesn't have many years left is busy focusing on party conflicts.

I didn’t miss your point. MOST women are married to men who are not in anyway socially or financially high, let alone HIGHER. It isn’t even an insult to them, it is the reality of Nigerian relationships/marriages. The one we see everyday, not NL.
Women bring less to the table, expect more, yet have an easier time finding relationships. So a woman can afford to have several lists of demands, of which she may only satisfy a few or even none herself but will still have an easier time getting into a relationship because it's a buyer's market as far as men are concerned.

As a man can expect to be called stingy for not spending money on her while she is broke and jobless. We don't expect a woman to be our Davido and pamper us regardless of our economic situation.

It is only on NL I read this. MOST Nigerians are fcking broke. Men and women. Our population is doubling. People living and fcking in one rooms that they never open the windows because of mosquito.

But once I login to NL, headquarters of millionaires, I start reading how MOST women do not marry men who are economically or socially higher. Only on social media.
Maybe you misread my comment because I don't have the faintest clue what ideas you are trying to convey in your second paragraph.

Life is never black and white, there are many grey areas.
Some marriages actually bring good fortune in terms of opportunities, but that's usually when you get married to someone from a higher social class, or at least someone with vision and ambition, not a chronic liability.
That's rare, most women see it as an insult to consider marrying a man who isn't socially and economically higher than than her.

That's 2012 records Sir.

Besides if you compute all the Northern literacy percentages, it definitely cannot qualify for the word "barely".

And again, it still runs into millions of literates. That is definitely not barely.
Yes because the education problems in the North are currently solved. grin

- Total Northern literacy rate 35%

- North Western literacy rate 30%

- North East literacy rate 29%

- North Central literacy rate 45%

- Total Southern literacy rate 66%

- South West literacy rate 73%

- South East literacy rate 63%

- South South literacy rate 63%

Barely?? This shows you have never been or lived in the North.

Stop assuming things based on hearsay.

See this list with Northern states at the bottom, how many northern children are students abroad compared to southern children?

Sanusi that lives in the North was lambasting Northern leaders for ignoring education in the North and he was deposed for it.

Bro you are very correct about this.. an average muslim north will steal and still do more for his pple but a southerner will never do the same.. Have you heard of any northern student protest like this abroad
This question can simply be answered by looking at the literacy rate of the North compared to the South. There are barely any students to protest in the first place.

u cant blame him, as a leader u cannot be everywhere or know what's happening everywhere. The problem is there are too many double agents and sabotagers amongst the rank and file.

U discuss a plan with an individual, immediately the discussion is concluded, next minute the fellow is making a call to the enemy.

Apart from that another angle is that these bandits and terrorists are from the communities, they have friends and relatives in there. The problem is that they are sympathetic to these elements and reluctant to give them up to the special force ops. It is generally now accepted as an ideology, and little kids and youths now see and perceive these bandits as interesting and exciting.
Isn't this the same army that said they were aware of the sponsors of Boko Haram but it "wasn't their duty" to handle it?

Wrong.

I still dont agree with you,so long I and many other African kids turned out fine.

Your first paragraph is moot because like I said, they occupy offices elected legally. To think that crime would disappear overnight 100% is insane at best. No system is 100% perfect but some are working more than others.

Second paragraph is up for debate. Because in as much as there are still Nigerians with laudable achievements, then a few publicised bad eggs won't matter.

Third paragraph bores me. You are repeating the same stuff over again. Like I said, so long the system worked for some of us, and we turned out right, then the system is good. Maybe not 100% but then nothing is ever that good.

Fourth paragraph had me laughing out loud. People from Mexico, Chile,India,China and phillipines, all with some measure of capital punishment, all rush to the West to for better life goals. Their countries aint perfect too. It ain't an African thing. Chill dafuq out grin

Last paragraph, isn't your wife an adult? We talking about a child who made a very terrible mistake and was corrected by her dad. The narrative is different for fuq sakes but it doesn't surprise that you brought the wife angle up. Any plot twist to drive your point home. I wasn't raised in a home where a man beats his wife,so kindly moot that point.

How in hell did you come to the conclusion that the man wanted to vent his anger on something, rather than to correct his daughter selflessly? The video was explicit enough. You had no proof on your assertions so stop twisting the narrative. Stick to the facts.

Funny enough, you lots screaming about the African model HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO OFFER AS ALTERNATIVE. A critic is one thing, but a toxic critic is one hell of a user. Such a person never sees anything good in anything or anyone

Conclusively, the African model of child upbringing has helped to mould kids lives in the right way. I'm a living proof so i will train my kids with loving BUT firm hands. Once you give birth to yours, do whatever hommie.

Have a nice day.
The African model has done nothing to curb bad behaviour and we are simply going along with it like robots. Those countries you mentioned also beat and have capital punishment yet they have the same problems. Why don't you ask the European countries Africans keep running to how they impart values onto their children?

The girl is 18 and legally can be married, so if a husband did the same thing to his wife under the same circumstances would you be supporting it as eagerly as you are now?

Anyways it has been an interesting exchange of ideas.

Notice that others will follow a similar trend most likely because kids either learn from their mistakes or parents can't use their size to intimidate them anymore.
