What can we expect from most celebrities that glorify fornication, power and money? Only evil. I pity those they're leading to hell.

Supported, but most church goers will never listen.

Keep it up guys.

twoMcfemad:
Madam, this isn't an ideal poultry house as this will cause poor ventilation, you don't even build on a wall-apologies,ma.
My Advise: reduce the coaches as previously advised and based on experience, methinks your birds would be better off on deep litter than in cages with this type of construction. Also, plan to install at least ceiling fans and iced blocks to combat excessive temperature.
Concerning point of lay and D.O.C source, you may consider the big names in the industry as they have a name to protect but please ensure you do flock profiling of the birds at a good laboratory.
Many thanks and best wishes.

..
You are very right. Cages shud not be used if ventilation is poor.

endy247:

@Jasper, I came across sth few days ago and I think it might interest you. It's called soil sterilization using black sheets. You can read it up here: https://www.google.com.ng/search?q=soil+sterilization+with+sheet+and+sun&oq=soil+sterilization+with+sheet+and+sun&aqs=chrome..69i57.17335j0j4&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=0&ie=UTF-8. U may not need it here bc of the time constraint.

PapaBrowne:
I totally agree. Front page kills very valuable threads. Maybe they can frontpage it much later after like 2 months.

..
I have similar thing in mind. If u send it to the front page now, it will be filled with a lot of low quality comments from lots of amateurs.

I reject anything that wants to derail this thread. people must benefit from this thread. .

after much bull fight and war, the budget got approved on the Friday the 16th at about. And the money was paid into our account manager's account (kalusam). we were already running a race against time. so we hurriedly sent money to the seed company for the seed and technical support. we also paid for the mulching film, seedling tray, coco peat and organic fertilizer too. To be way-billed to us from far-away Onitsha. that was all we could achieve from Wednesday to Friday.

Please the purpose of this thread is to show intending cucumber farmers that it is not an easy task at all. incase you start feeling that money will fall from heaven to your laps.

Moving On

..
Pls, how much was the mulching films? And what is the coco peat used for?

world1:

Interesting
..

Soloxam:
Good morning all, pls let share our experience here, pls we are not here to war against one another, just drop ur points pls.

..
I wish the verbal war did not occur. But it's not a good thing to see something wrong and close your mouth. I don't like the way a lot of nigerians look down on theory.

fayahsoul:
Lol i dont need to search for what's right in front of me. Listen, oga stop imagining things. I will continue this discussion with you only if and when you actually start practicals. Anything short of that is an excercise in futility.

..
Practical alone won't lead u very far. You need theory too. It's not just about practicing, it is about practicing right.

mercylicious:
i didnt say its fruiting. i said , its growing two small suckers beside the one originally planted. am surprised cos this normally happens during the flowering stage.

..
Ok, i was worked up and hungry when I read it. Keep us updated.

In addition to this, Google will be ur friend here. To get ebooks from google, type: filetype:pdf keyword. The keyword stands for anything u are searching, in this case ethanol production, how to produce ethanol from maize, etc.

I'm new in d layers biz as well, my birds are 17weeks old, do u av an idea of ow much animal care charge for tests? I'm in ib

..
It depends on the disease, newcastle is 2500, crd and IB are 300/bird. Necropsy is 2300.

I'll advice you to read through cassava threads in this forum, you'll gain a lot. http://www.google.com/m?q=site%3anairaland%2ecom%20cassava%20farming&client=ms-opera-mini&channel=new

You can get the address to river basin authorities from this comment: https://www.nairaland.com/1821516/anambra-farmers-lets-meet-here/9#29802725.
I plan visiting them soon.

Maybe that's the first thing to do. Set up co-operatives to raise fund to start a ranch with say 50 Friesian cows and grow. Long & medium term is where the profit would be. There's hardly ever gonna be a time when milk products (fresh, yoghurt, powder, cream, cheese, etc) will not be in demand. Obviously location will matter. Ogun for example will be close to the huge Lagos market. Sure, it will be more difficult compared to poultery, piggery or running a plantain farm. But potential is big.

Power issues can be tackled using a bioreactor. Cows produce lots of dung for the reactor.

..
You're on track man, bioreactor/biogas digester sounds sweet.
