tomiobj: Wow interesting. I have been looking for a clean. Source of energy that I can Uuse for my projects. I'll research more on this and test on a small scale. Sorry for any disturbances caused by this but can you summarise Alll the procedures for doinng this. M nt currently in lagos. My Internet is horrible. The video won't load .. The basic is to enclose organic matter to exclude air. Then you tap the gas produced and have an inlet and outlet. |

mercylicious: @ Pavore, It seems u know aghamelum well. I plan to go into agric and am thinking of buying land from umuleri/otuocha/ anaku .... Am considering casava , palm or plantain plantation. i know plantain thrives well in umeri Currently doing rsearch on the plants. Bt sumtin crossed my mind- they fight a lot and i dont know if they burn farmlands during such. Also , d last flood , a lot of them were affected. What do u think abt the raised fears?
I had dt apart fromthe listed crops, yam is big busines in Anam. A lady told me she did combined farming with a poor villager. She made double the amount she invested. The profit was shared equally, dt means d return was abt 200 percent.
I already have a contact dt can assist in umeri and anaku in sourcng for the farmland but ive nt yet discussed with him. Am still making my research. How far have you gone with this? |

tomiobj: . Nw I see it. But why is thhe quality thatt bad.
I'll try as much as possible to do this if it's within my power after watching. Can this be doone with human/poultry waste .. You have to watch out for carbon-nitrogen ratio, else you will be disappointed. Using only chicken manure which have very low c/n ratio will not work, what you'll likely get in ammonia smell. C/n ratio shud be 20-30. You can adjust it by combining one material with low c/n ratio and another one with high c/n ratio, eg chicken manure and rice hull, etc. The calculation can be found in the link above. |

CoolAmbience: I think I can be of help. Our Solution is not necessarily about energy generation but conservation. Rate of energy consumption is what is critical in determining profitability.
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration account for over 70% of energy costs in buildings and factories. Our Solacoat Energy Efficient technology guarantees 30-40% reduction in air conditioning costs and 10-15% reduction in total fuel consumption in power generating sets.
For example, If a single branch of a bank consumes 100,000 litres of diesel in one month. We are saying that our technology can reduce that amount by 10,000 litres. Lets say a litre of diesel goes for #100 (which we know costs more), that translates to #1,000,000 saving in one month. Now, multiply that by 12 months and total number of branches (buildings) of the bank, hotel, school, hospital, warehouse, estate etc.
As for solving problems of high sun radiation and achieving gas tightness using waterproofing, our technology is exactly what you need. All you need is 2-3 coats of a Heat Reflective System with very high reflectance and emittance capabilities. We give ten years documented guaranty on our product.
This technology has been used by global companies like Coca Cola, and in countries like Singapore, Netherlands, UAE, Australia and more, and the results were amazing.
You may contact us in Nigeria via +234 8039352489, +234 8077713522; Email us on: ContactProcorr@gmail.Com. Please view our global website: WWW.Solacoat.Com.Au .. What I actually asked for is a sun resistant polythene/tarpauline etc. Gastight too. |

@Mercilicious you have a GREAT plan there and I too have a similar plan. There is nothing as good as having everything in one place and going for cheaper but effective solutions like the earthen pond you talked about. Keep me close because I'll freely and happily help you in anyway I can. @Judithume, depending on where you live you can place your cage in front of your house and sell from there, or you can go to a market and contact those that buy old layers in bulk. In Onitsha you can find them at newparts market, I don't know about Nnewi but you can ask around. |

sheyi86: Ok sir, since u know it teach me nw atleast wit pic i wl understand.thnks .. There are different types of digester, but the cheapest is the one they use sun-resistant waterproof to construct. They call it the bag digester and if you know plumbing you can build your own. With digester like that you don't put grass because it can block the outlet. You only use manure and some kitchen wastes. If you're looking for where to start educating yourself about biogas digesters, I wrote about them here. |

AkayTopsy: Farmers in the house. Can anyone give a scientific explanation to the following:
Fig1: The Egg weighing 98grams. Fig2: The cracked Egg carrying another shelled egg inside. Fig3: The inner Egg after crack has a normal yolk and egg white.
Flock age: 24week old.
The average egg size of my flock is 55grams. Though on the average daily I get 1 or 2 extra large size egg, but they usually carry 2 yolks (not shelled egg like this one)
Any scientific explanation for this? .. It's normal so far as it does not happen all the time. You'll likely see different kinds of abnormal eggs like the ones described here. |

fishleg123: Good morning house, pls, what is d exact amount of grower feed that a laying bird, 20 weeks old, should be eating for best performance. Thanks. .. There are charts where you can get that information from. There is one here. The one there is for hyline brown layers but I think Isa brown and shaver are the common layers available in nigeria. The feed they will need will be slightly higher than that of hyline, so you have to use it to get estimate values. |
