The bible teaches many principles and one principle can be applied in so many ways depending on place, time, culture etc. So u can't just conclude that because the bible says nothing about smoking or pornography, they are not sinful. I read your post well. May be u made a mistake by referring to the "us" as Jews only. But it represent all Christians. God promised to bless Abraham's seed, and that seed (which is Christ), will bless the whole world - both Jews and gentiles. And that is what happened, Christ came to the Jews and blessed them. Then he sent some of his disciples to the gentiles and they were blessed. It was still Christ that was doing the blessing, not his disciples.

Wrong! Even the athiests are not truly open-minded. Sin is what makes us close-minded. Sin is what blinds people to the truth of God.
To become a follower of Jesus Christ, you have to chose to take blindfolds off so you can see what God has for you, and learn anew from Him. You have to unlearn everything you have been previously taught or had to learn from parents, people, society etc. about God and the things of God, so God Himself can write His word anew and His truth instead on the tablets of your heart.
Only then are you able to truly receive from Him and live to His glory. Only then are you freely able to live a life above Sin.

That is what we refer to as grace. And that is a gift because we didn't get it because we were good. We got it on a platter of gold.

There is a difference between gift and reward.

Now, we have been gifted with Eternal Life through the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ (the Gospel of Salvation).

But making Heaven will be a reward for believing in Christ.

...that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

So, we have the gift of God's endless love, but no one is guaranteed Heaven simply ordinarily by the Gospel of Salvation. Making Heaven is not that easy. It is filled with tribulations and challenges.

Narrow is the gate that leads to life...

In summary, making heaven is not a gift. However, the Gospel of Salvation is a gift. All we need to avail ourselves of the Eternal Life that comes with this Gospel is to sincerely believe in this Gospel.

To get married all you need is to come off age and be matured and know that life is a journey and marriage is a legal partnership. Whoever edges 4ward first makes no difference as far as you both are heading the same direction.
