How can we gget the corn?

Toscosamuel:
Y dnt u grow organic, r u nt concern of people's health. For Seed our company seed is far better than tokyo, we use the Thailand breed. U can purchase these seeds at a cheaper rate.

..
How much is the thai seed? Can u post picture of the fruit?

Itydee:
yeah. Will be paying Benue boys to make the ridges

.. I guess labor is cheap there.

I have been thinking. Cucumber roots usually come out to the soil surface between rows. Assuming u cover or shield the plant and apply glyphosphate, won't it be absorbed by the roots?

Following. Will u be making the ridges manually? I just came across this tractor service: https://www.nairaland.com/4128135/get-tractor-seevice-ur-farm#61616126. If anyone has a cheaper option let us know.

teaandteea:
yes.. only land with many stumps, congested with trees or water logged are not

..
Thanks.

teaandteea:
yes we can sir. we cover every region in dis nation

.. Thanks, I'll keep ur contact. Are stony lands tractorable?

saliubello:
I think this is what I need. The mechanism of operation is quite adequate to serve it's intended purpose. On the flip side, will this be able to serve a large field? If yes, how large can the field be??

Anyone with links to procure this can reach me on any of 08050323434, 08028873809, 08099066646 or saliubello2003@yahoo.com so we can liase how I can get this.

What of anambra?

These birds are mean oo. Another strategy I once read is high tech. It involves using electronic rays to detect bird approaching the farm. When detected, it triggers rocket-propelled firecracker that will scare off the birds. This one may be unreacheable for most farmers.

I love this thread. On the long run, I will consider using solar to power the cold room, biogas to power gen. Thanks evryone.

The birds are intelligent and adaptive. The siren will work for a few days. When they notice that it's not harming them, they will start ignoring it.

One way to achieve relative success with the siren is to vary the type and pattern of noise coming from it. And not to make it continuous.

Scarecrows are the easiest for the birds to get used to. The birds are so 21st century.

The inflatable human effigy that you find at children's parties will probably work better than motionless scarecrows. Combining this with irregular high pitch noise can have relative success...provided the population of the birds in your locality is minimal.

..
I once read somewhere that strips of reflective aluminum foil will scare birds away. Maybe u people shud try it.

Your Christianity is the type that is centered on works. It's the weakest form of Christianity. You are not different from the old testament folks that lived under the law. The message of grace sounds too outlandish to your type. You strive everyday to impress God with your good works, then you fail and your faith weakens and the devil takes advantage of that.

Embrace grace, embrace the righteousness christ bought with His precious blood, seize from your works. Accept the love and forgiveness of sin that is in christ Jesus. It is called justification by faith. That is what the gospel is all about. GOSPEL actually means GOOD NEWS. It may sound too good to be true but it is true.

..
The guy u are attacking is right. U talk as if work shud be dead in us. But that is not what the bible teaches. Philippians 3:12- I do not claim that I have already become perfect. I keep striving to win the prize for which christ jesus has already won me to himself. Ephessians 2:8-10 made use know that grace stopped our useless wk and start God's useful wk in us. Also remember that faith without wk is dead- James 2. Grace teaches us to say no to ungodliness-Titus 2:11-12. B4 u can say no to fornication or ungodly musics, u need to make a conscious effort even as u pray. U dont just relax and say that u depend on Christ's righteousness. That's just one way people use to deceive themselves.

You can't work in Spirit everyday of your life. Be realistic. The flesh will show up once in a while. God made it that way to remind of your humanity.

..
The answer to this questn can be complicated. How will flesh show up? In what form? Remember that there are sins that must not be mentioned among christians. Somebody shud not go and fornicate, murder, smoke, get drunk, listen to ungodly music, watch porn etc once in a while and tell be the flesh have to show up sometimes.

To answer your question directly; the drone will not need to be flown 24/7. The birds attack during the day only. So you only fly during the day. Do you fly all through the day? No. But you may need to fly for most of the day.

Let me break this down a bit more.

Quelea quelea attacks are greatest in the early mornings and early evenings. But they generally attack through the day.

When you use a drone, it's motion and noise drives the birds. If the farm is not so big....the drone can travel back and forth in a few seconds and will leave the birds no respite. The theory is that if you frustrate them so much they will take a break for upto 30-45minutes. If the drone activity continues, and the birds upon returning realise that they still don't have the opportunity to feed on your rice, Thier frustration increases. If you sustain this back to back. You are very likely going to make the birds migrate from the area.

There is a potential problem though. Many drones that qualify for this task have limited battery life. Typically battery life's are about 10-30 minutes. So you may need to have a number of spare batteries to be able to fly the drone footage hours.

The other challenge is if the area you need to fly the drone over is too large (my rice was on about 50 acres, and I had only one drone); the birds will feast on the rice before the drone gets to them and they will fly to other parts of the rice farm once the drone gets to them. Before the drone gets to the new spot, the birds would have done more damage...on and on..

So get as many spare batteries as you can. And plan the number of drones to match the size of you farm.

I used the DJI Mavic Pro. Unfortunately, it didn't help much. The size of the farm and the population of the birds overwhelmed it. I reckon that of I had 5-10 of that drone I may not have a list a single grain to the birds.

How much is the drone?

The bird problem is not a small one oo.

"Does Hydroponic Forage Production Make Sense?"
http://ucanr.edu/blogs/blogcore/postdetail.cfm?postnum=11721

Yes that's the link. I was excited when I came across hydroponic fodder until I read that article. Hydroponic fodder is a waste of time and resources.

I didn't know that plantain and banana have hybrid. Does it mean their suckers will be useless?

Pls experts, where can I get vermiculite and perlites?

Good advice so far. Forget the past but don't let it repeat itself.

mployer:
He used present tense. He never said he was.

..
The tense is not very important here. What is important is the context. Pls read 1 timothy 1:12-end and get the context right. He was talking about his past, before his conversion.

mployer:
Apostle Paul said he is the chief of sinners. Go figure.

..
Try and find out if he was refering to his past or present. When the bible says: all have sin and come short of God's glory, He was refering to the past (for a born again). Acts 17:20: the past God overlook, but now He commands people everywhere to repent".

mployer:
All these self-righteous preachers. You can't even live up to half the standard you preach.

The aim is simply to look righteous while you remain dirty on the inside.

Humans has no capacity to live up to God's standard of righteousness, that is the reason for the coming of Jesus christ.... So He will become our righteousness in God.

Go back and read your Bible. This time, read the new testament slowly.

..
God says "be holy for i am holy". Find out more about grace from galatian 2;8-end, Titus 2:11 and romans 6. Ignorance will not be an excuse on judgement day.

Moral relativism has been shown to be very dangerous.

That's how you end up with people who think that buying and raping a child is acceptable.

Or why some people thing it's ok to detonate explosives in crowded places.

Some things are clearly destructive and stupid - such as enriching religious charlatans while others suffer.

If all that money that is wasted on tithes were put to good use Nigeria would be in a much better place.

..
U just teach me a new word I like: moral relativity. Thanks. Meanwhile, not all tithes are wasted. Some churches put their own to good use by using it to help the needy. My church even have scholarship program for members and welfare program for the needy.

Giving is quite different from paying ur tithe. U can give and still pay ur tithe. U can also give out part of ur tithe to the needy, but don't ignore the essential needs in your church. Some people attacking churches for collecting tithe might actually be antichrists that will like churches/religion to die completely. They know that if u remove finance the church will be crippled physically and so they try convincing people not to pay tithe. So my advice for true christians is this: pay ur tithe, support the good works ur church is doing, before u condemn ur church for robbing the poor, ask the leaders what ur church have done to help the poor. Don't just think up sth and conclude. If ur church have an evangelism program, support them with ur time and money. A lot of antichrists don't want to here about repentance, they will rather follow celebrities and continue to wallow in sexual immorality and they hate it if u try to correct them. Finally, if your church is worldly, find another church and continue to grow toward perfection.

This reminds me of our ajaokuta.
