aariwa:

I'll still call the man. I'm just trying to sort out sths.

leo1234:
I am interested in this adventure. What do you want to venture into? I reside in Anambra State.

you can grow maize without the use of manual labour which is very expensive and subject plants to mechanical injury. you can purchase xtraforce or 3maizeforce
for pre-emergence application. guardforce or stunner can be used for post emergence. just to let you know, I am a technical sales representative with Jubaili agrotec (a major manufacturer and distributor of agrochemicals). this chemicals don't have any side effect provided you adhere to the re-entry period and pre-harvest interval. you can reach me via email on technical.abuja@jubailiagrotec.com.
you can also visit our website on www.jubailiagrotec.com

How can i buy ur products in Anambra?

Prayer house ?? You mean a play ground ??

The loving and amazing God was watching from his Mansion in the clouds while they brutalize an innocent girl in his prayer house somewhere on earth ??

Just ban religion all over the world and things will start moving fine

what did God did to u? Tell me.

Kylekent59:
Hope the last thing they did was a good thing. And hope they confesses their sins b4 passing away.

Hmm... It doesnt wk that way oo. I remembered when i had an accident. The pain did nt allow me to think, talkless of confessing my sins. Christ will come like a thief, likewise sudden death. God expects us to be alert at all time. U cant fool God oo. U were bizzy wallowing in sin and when death come knocking u start confession. Jesus said we MUST be born again b4 we enter the kingdom of God. Can u achieve that state of mind in the mist of violent storm? In summary, the right time to repent is now.

Will people learn from this? Train up a child in the way he shud go and when he is old he will nt depart from it. If you make stupid people your friend, you will be ruined - prov 13:20. Our youths follow stupid people like Davido, wizkid, 2face, mercy johnson etc. People whose lifestyle is clearly oppose to God's word yet people that claim to be Christians will follow them. If this is for u, repent and come to Christ.

As for the family of the deceased, they shud take heart and try to undo their mistakes. I place 90% of the blame on parents.

Still need help pls.

Life without Christ is misery. So first and foremost, I advise u to submit your whole life to Christ and allow the bible to guide ur thoughts and actions. That way u wont go chasing after slay queens. A woman that fears God is to be praised. Marriage is nt child's play. U need serious prayer b4 u even decide if u are to start searching. Get close to God and he will reveal things to u thru ur dream.

Pls I need your help. I bought nokia e7 but after installing opera mini and trying to browse, it will browse like 3-4 pages and then stop. Is there anything I failed to do?

Don't be blinded by money oo. Money and immorality tend to go hand in Hand. But God will judge both the rich and the poor.

The principle of business applies to every business including Agriculture in regards to if one should allow another person run it or not.

It is simple. If your business cannot function without you, it is not yet stabilized and it is still a small business. But who says small businesses cannot be stabilized. So, i think it is more of stability.

Here is my point. It doesnt mean you arent doing well if you must monitor your farm but the truth is that just a slight challenge, you are gone. All can crumble in a twikling of an eye. Many things can contribute to it which are out of your control. And such is the case in Nigeria.

Now, any industry that needs monitoring won't be progressive. If busineses in an industry get crushed easily, the industry is messed up.

I agree with u. If u set things up properly, you'll be able to detect the slightest theft. Put things under the care of individual wkèrs and hold them accountable. Get to know how much feed ur birds need to attain a certain weight, install security cameras if possible, restrict access to certain areas. There is a lot one can do to fight theft.

This is an example of integrated farming I hope for, but at a much larger scale.

The bible advise us to flee from temptation. You don't resist temptation u flee from it. But unfortunately, churches today allow temptation just bc they need members. Indescent dressing should not be allowed in the church in the first place.

2 Timothy 2:22-24Contemporary English Version (CEV)

22 Run from temptations that capture young people. Always do the right thing. Be faithful, loving, and easy to get along with. Worship with people whose hearts are pure. 23 Stay away from stupid and senseless arguments. These only lead to trouble, 24 and God’s servants must not be troublemakers. They must be kind to everyone, and they must be good teachers and very patient.

VeeBuzzer:
its becoming really alarming.
you forgot to add one major reason which is most women stop taking good care of themselves after marriage cos they feel theyve arrived, he has proposed so no need to do shakara.

weldone madam, another sissy will take him from you and you will be claiming he is cheating on you and start fighting sidechicks.
You see married women tying wrapper like grannies. I hate wrappers and will never use one single or married.

Married women should stop thinking theyve arrived and start working on their bodies!

All those things u mention will not keep ur husband from misbehaving. A he-goat is a he goat. I know a woman that dress like a prostitute but yet her husband was caught with another woman in the same yard. Character matters most in spouse selectn. If ur husband got attracted to u bc he saw ur unclothedness due to the way u dress, then there is a 99% chance that u married a he goat.

Back to what the op wrote, i agree with his points. Women have to execise to avoid obesity and the associated health problems - anthritis, diabetes etc.

Inspiring thread.

Nice writeup. Who knows where we can get marigold in Nigeria?

Lesgupnigeria:
You have nice agric forum.

Although there are some animal farming with less risky when compared with others,I guess integrating the less riskier ones with crop farming is far better than cultivating either crop or animal alone?right

Tnks.
Yes, and I'm seriously considering that.

akwonderman:
U can get Topsin or Zeb care from Jubaili. U can as well use Neem oil to go organic, neem oil can be order from Jumia. I guess this little piece does ans ur question. Thanks.

Yes it does. Thamks. Do you make use of systemic fungicide?

fluentinfor:
Excellent comment; however, I must add that it seems producing animal feed and fish fingerlings/juveniles/supplying of raw materials for production of animal rearing business are the aspects profit are. Fish farmers are complaining bitterly and many have closed up their businesses as a result of high production cost (too expensive feed). I do not understsnd why anyone thinks a business where feed is over 70% of the cost of production is profitable. You set up and every time you produce fish, you must spend 70% of the cost of production on feed. Logistics is there and others. So, if you are lucky, you get just 10% profit in 6 months. Gush! Except you move towards making your feed. 3 years ago, you only need to buy the raw materials but these days, fish farmers are beginning to cultivate corn, legumes etc themselves just to make cheaper feed. Is that wise? Mixed farming done with poor intention. Lol. Instead of using animal to grow crops, they are using crops to grow animal. Let them reverse it and they will see their foolishness. It's how the Nigerian economy is that dictates what to do and how to do it.

Look at crops. If you can get it right and you buy quality assest, you are on the right track. You may have challenges but when your cost of production is just low after set up. Except that crazy seed companies are increasing prices and reducing quality of seeds. I suspect some of them sell hybrid F2 instead of F1.

To set up crop farming with good and quality irrigation system might be tough. Also, to buy greenhouses might be expensive but as soon as you start producing, your expenses are low. It means you can bounce back easily if you hit any rock.

Another issue. Cucumber is just 45 days before you start making sales but you need to spend, spend and spend for months before you get one kobo from animal. God forbid your village people decide to act at the injury time. You know the story yourself.

I am going to be very straight forward. If you are new to Agric and you are small scale producer, consider using dung from animal or waste water from your fish to produce quality vegetables or fruits. Sit down, write a very good financial plan and work it out in a very good and reasonable ratio. You can do it yourself. Just pen down in a way you understand it and do not consult business plan consultants who are going to confuse you more.

Small scale farmers do not have the advantage of bulk purchases of raw materials which give commercial farmers the competitive advantage when it comes to rearing animal.

NOTE: This post is for small scale producers.

I agree with u. To make reasonable profit from animal farming (wrt poultry, fishery) u need to do it large scale. An interesting aspect of animal farming is ruminants/, where feed is almost free, what many farmers don't know is that u can grow ur own grass with or without irrigation and turn them into silage. That way rainy or dry season feed will be available.

Having experienced both, I prefer crop farming bc start-up capital is lower and roi high. I am basing this on layers/broiler vs cucumber farming. But the best form of farming is integrated farming where u combine crop and animal farming. You may even add biogas digester. U feed manure to digester to produce a flammable gas called biogas. You can use this for cooking or to power a dual fuel engine. The processed manure from the digester has more fertilizing power than raw or composted manure. U use that for your crops. By products from crops can be fed to ruminants. Chicken manure is also a very good protein source for ruminants. Integrated farming is what I'm aiming for.

As in demolishing their farm crops? What i need is actually farm land. I think some areas are usually designated by state governments for that purpose.

No, demolishing buildings.

Hallams:
Which pesticide is best for cucumber farming?
Is it compulsory to use urea or npk?

I don't think there was is a best. u just have to use a combination of systemic and non systemic pesticides and rotate pesticides with different mode of action to prevent resistance from developing.

Whether to use fertilizer or not depends on ur soil fertility. if u are farming large scale go for soil test. Limit the amount of urea u apply BC it has negative effects. Don't use it during flowering. u may use a little during growth but majority of nitrogen shud be in nitrate form. fertilizer that's high in K followed by P are good esp from flowering up.
