Very apt. That fairly sums up every woman who's ever walked the surface of the earth since Eve. |
What else is there to do on the Internet? Well, how about pulling out the LAN cable, going out and saying hi to some friends outside, or grabbing a good book and making the most of the day on a couch, with a song of Dido? |
Absolutely no way. Except you find a way to access the server and find the files in certain directories, which of course I know you know is criminal. |
You're welcome. But don't forget you should also review other people's, this way, everyone's edged towards achieving better designs. |
Was wondering why your request was generating such negative remarks until I checked it out. Now I know why. Your site appears like a template editting gone awry. It appears too generic and like a slap of text on text, like a rookie's attempt at creating a masterstroke with his first stroke. I'd recommend you to ditch what you have and attempt to create something entirely new and simple. Just a basic thing but with an original concept behind it. You'd be better off with a thing like that. Forget using images coming with templates, as they project western culture and people. If you're a Nigerian, you should use images depicting your background, or the client's. Unless of course na white man wey dey California give you the job. ![]() By the way man, these comments are objective, OK? Not trying to sound rude or something. Just being dispassionate in my review. |
True word man, true word. Attraction and compatibility is what is required here, nothing more. Moreover, once attraction is present, compatibility is pushed to the back. |
Intentional mistake indeed. ![]() |
Hmm, it could be. It just could be. HIV/Aids is a disease like every other like it, but none has had such a devastating effect in the world on the scale that HIV/Aids has. Absolutely none. Not even the Black Death which swept across Europe in the mid 14th centuries (regarded by many as the worst natural disaster in history) can boast of such malevolence as Aids has sustainably exhibited. Irrespective of the fact that one of the modes of transmission of the HIV/Aids virus is via unsafe sex, which reinforces the rapid spread of the disease, given the constant engagement in the practice by millions of people the world over, Aids has just got the capacity and tenacity to decimate the world's population. When you look at when it came, where it currently is, and the deadly trail its left on it's wake, you just might think that there's some divine inclination to it. I'm not saying it is, but lots of people are asking these same questions. Millions of people are asking these same questions everywhere that Aids has left it's mark. As more people are testing positive to it daily, as more people will continue to die from it, more people will continue to ask this. IS THE EARTH BEING CLEANSED? |
Actually, I think it screams desperation like someone earlier pointed out but my girlfriend, just before leaving for her NYSC orientation camp did it and it didn't sound desperate at the time. She just said she expected her engagement ring as soon as she returns from camp and then the big one soon after her service period. I kind of enjoyed it even. She didn't leave with any ring as I didn't give her any, but I just think it's cool if a girl initiates talks of marriage but mind you, this has got to be in a relationship fused with love. Not just coming across a girl who's seen better days and is anxious to clinch a man before the last of her youthfulness fades inexorably away, pop a question that serious. |
Should be. M$ are really wanting to nail their competitors in with this one, this time. With its lucrative Office suite in decline, M$ is feeling the heat. Moreover, Office 2003 hasn't been the runaway success that Microsoft had wanted and so they're putting in a lot in this Office 12. Let them hope users upgrade and migrate to this version, because as far as I can tell, there has been no outstanding improvement to the Office suite since Office 97. Just some new task bar here, an added XML sh*t there. After years of lackluster upgrades and increased competition, they are overhauling the interface and praying we all switch. |
Have known it about for quite a long time, 3-4yrs ago I think. Had used it sometime in the past and have found it quite useful to give to clients for their own internal CM. It's a solid app. Really solid in its class. |
Ah Kris! Now I know! ![]() |
You be audience, Oga Codec? I no know oh. @Kris. Have read all Joftech's posts in this thread. Can't still detect who the prophet is. *Scratches head and wonders* ![]() Could it be ***** (Timmy)? ![]() |
Some posts here have been really funny to me. Real real funny. I've always said time and time again that the Philosophy of Attraction which states Attraction Is Not A Choice is very correct. You have no control over whom you fall in love with, or feel strongly attracted to. It just hits you right in the face, wham, and there you'd go. Where countless others have gone. So if this subject of your attraction is younger than you, in fact, way younger than you, then God help you. Because then, you wont remember saying these things you're saying here. All of you who have said you can't hang out with younger boys. Believe me. All it takes is that spark of attraction to set a fire in your heart. A fire through which you wont observe closely, who it's burning on behalf of. |
Oga Timmy, I actually don't enjoy such remarks. If we're looking for the Top Ten Designers, how then is it listed? In an unordered manner, or there's a countdown of some sorts with the best guys heading the list? So if you mention your name first, and mine second, Rotimi, etc. How should I perceive such nominees? No be I go think say na a countdown you dey list out? You could really have pointed that out easily, without sounding the way you did. You dey hear? ![]() And yes Joanny34, designers don't nominate themselves. Na audiences they cast such votes. Audiences and seasoned professionals whom can serve as judges. |
Indeed. |
Yes man, without a doubt. He's the best footballer Nigeria has ever produced. |
Ah, why do you wish to be counted out, Oga Joftech. As for you Kris, I have no idea who the prophet is, and I'd appreciate your telling me. So at least I can satirise him, like the Danes did. ![]() Timmy, which one wey you slam yourself for the first position now? You dey forget say some very bad guys like Tommyruns (even though na Nelly be him chief inspirator na a very good designer,) and others are really tight? |
This thread is getting too heated. I still think that Okocha in 1993 was a lot better than Mikel right now. To those of you saying Mikel is playing a more matured and refined football at this age than Okocha did in his own era, don't forget that the game of football has improved dramatically since then, and that Mikel is simply doing what any youngster with some above average skills would do, considering the quality of football being played right now in the world. Okocha may have dazzled defenders and still had sat on the ball, refusing to score, but man, you can't take his sheer brilliance of then and try to compare it to the performance of Mikel now. I think Mikel is good, doing greatly as a matter of fact, and has the strong tendency to be a great soccer star, but I still don't think he's so good as to be compared to Okocha in 93'. Honestly. BTW, I still maintain that he's overly talked about in the press. The whole Chelsea, Manchester brouhaha has helped shoot this kid into sudden limelight that he's falling head over heels in the blinding lights of the world press, thinking he's the next to a Pele the world has been waiting for. And I don't believe anybody killed Aghahowa. |
No be small template defacers them be, na big ones. Make you even see examples of their work, particularly this one about some Youth Refinement programme in Benue State. You'd wonder if Benue people have suddenly turned white, or it's a Benue state in the U S of A. Link is http://www.youthrefined.org/ And this cleaning company http://www.cleanwellcleaning.co.uk/ And africanboy, na who be prophet again now? |
Solid job. From the start, I enjoyed the way page loaded. Layout is well planned, content sitting pretty nicely and really pleasant to the eyes. Great colour combination there you've got. There's so much I like about this site, particularly the way the contact address is displayed there. Logo might seem a bit generic, even slogan, but perhaps that's what the client already has on-ground. You might just have to look at the flash movie there though, which constitutes your main navigation. Users with slow connections might have to wait a while before they can navigate from the home page to other pages of interests, like your Services, Knowledge, Contacts, etc. You might want to have the navbar as plain HTML, so movie isn't really waited for before users can move around, IMO. By the way, flash movie is cool. And emm, let the guys who inspire the site have their site load in a new window. I mean the estrolli people. |
@Davidylan, . That was funny. It's difficult to believe that it's finally happened. This has drawn the country into a dark hole it would never emerge from. Mass reactions wouldn't change anything, like someone's saying. A civil war would. And it's time we had one. <<moderator says: go and fight your civil war in one corner and leave the rest of us alone>> |
And what has this web design firm in nigeria that is poised to serve us well, got to do with the issue currently being discussed, Oba 1? |
Really? |
Ha, thank you burteeone. ![]() |
ShadyBaba, abeg thank you. Thank you so much. I'd never understand why such a comparison is being made. Mikel? Okocha? I mentioned Messi earlier, teeroy, do you watch that kid play football? That's the sort of player you could compare to Okocha in the long term, certainly not Mikel. And yes, I still say the same, that Mikel is just being overly talked about in the press, nothing else. Maybe sometime later, he could be better than he is now and be compared to the legendary Okocha, but not at the moment. Teeroy, I certainly know what to look for in a player and I do watch football, which is why I'm saying don't compare Mikel to Okocha. |

And where the real thing is a little beyond his means? |
Sure? How about the guys that sell hot-dogs on kerbs with drunks and the homeless lying next to their trucks, begging buyers to buy them one? And most times in very filthy surroundings. |
I wonder. But me, I'd stick to Coke. Tastes way better. On my tongue, Pepsi tastes like too much water was added as an after-thought, just after mixing the real thing. ![]() |
Sort of hypothesizing there, africanboy. Your comments are just hypothetical, even though you made a relatively good suggestion. |
That fairly sums up every woman who's ever walked the surface of the earth since Eve.
