Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, has said his support for President Muhammadu Buhari remain unshaken and would do anything for the President if he so request.

Bello said this while reacting to President Buhari’s advise against extending the tenure elongation of National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, “I am an ardent supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, who has said that we must stick to the 1999 Constitution and APC Constitution. If Buhari asks me to jump into fire, I will not hesitate to jump into it.”

On why he earlier backed Chief John Oyegun to elongate the tenure elongation, he said:

“They are saying that I have problem with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; that is why I supported tenure elongation.

“I have no problem with Asiwaju, he is my leader. And President Buhari is the leader of all. I was supporting you (Oyegun and NWC) but we have to hold National Convention.”

Go to court over an inconsequential white paper? Abeg shift one side. The supreme court already settled this matter in 2007 when Obasanjo wanted to use the white paper of an administrative panel of inquiry to stop Atiku and some other politicians from contesting then. Only a court of competent jurisdiction can bar a qualified Nigerian from contesting or holding public office. This is just an empty order similar to the one done by Wike against Amaechi in Rivers state.

APC have damned d consequences before embarking on d trial of Sen Saraki,and Saraki himself have not hidden d fact d he is no longer in APC,its clear for blind to see,I know dt some people will move out of APC spearheaded by Atiku,but d perception of performance of ds govt will decide the swing. And d way things are moving,South-West will again be d deciding region,South-East and South-south will go for Hausa PDP! the truth is that,a competent court had given his judgement asking INEC to "immediately" issue certificate of return to d applicant,d respondent shd approach d court of Appeal to stay action,mere appealling at court of Appeal does not amount to stay of execution,INEC shd proceed and swear in Mr Ogah forthwith since there is no counter ruling as at today,d issue is not decided by Election tribunal,so INEC is bound to act swiftly...Former Gov Ikpeazu wants to use delay tactics in ds matter as his legal team knows what they supposed to do...

President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, claims there is “now a government within the government of President Buhari”, which has allegedly seized the apparatus of Executive powers to pursue a nefarious agenda.
This claim by Senator Saraki would have been more worth the while, if it had been backed with more information. If he had proceeded to identify those who constitute the “government within the government,” it would have taken the issue beyond the realm of fiction and mere conjecture. But as it stands, the allegation is not even worth the paper on which it was written, as anybody can wake from a troubled sleep, and say anything.
The Attorney-General of the Federation is the Chief Law Officer of the state. It is within his constitutional powers to determine who has infringed upon the law, and who has not. Pretending to carry an imaginary cross is mere obfuscation, if, indeed, a criminal act has been committed. But we leave the courts to judge.
To claim that President Buhari is anybody’s stooge is not only ridiculous, but also preposterous. It is not in the character of our President.

'you can forgive anything but not political sins'-fasbat, however ,had Mr Saraki not so full of himself and tarried a while and allow d 'strayed' senators to come back to d chamber,he wont be in ds troubled water and APC wouldn't have lost d senate Deputy Presidency to opposition. Saraki knew from d beginning dt the Senate rule book had been tampered with to allow d election to go ahead without d APC senators held up in a bid to see the 1st citizen of d country. Rt Hon Dogara never traded-off d Deputy speakership to PDP so he has no axe to grind with anybody 'upstairs'. I don't just understand what d NASS is trying to achieve with ds latest proposal to strip d President d power to assent to constitution amendment,even under a very weak Jonathan,he declined d last amendment due to infractions noticed,ds is effort in futility,NASS will need 24 states of Assembly to effect ds change but count d North out of ds proposal,and I m so sure of that,ask d 7th NASS what happened to state police proposal last term,it was roundly opposed by 19 Northern govs and that was d fatal end to dt fantasy!!!!
