PeaceJoyLove:Lol bornu kill you there ![]() I asked what product have you rolled out, no answer What start up have you founded ? No answer What forward thinking software have you written? No answer. His only response is one lame article full of tasteless shades. I know your Type, low budget motivational speakers, people who brag without evidence to back them. People with sugary mouth who deceive others to believe they are more than who they are... Shiorrr Having a discussion and advising others is good but there are honorable/mature ways to do it. Not by being pompous and wearing a gown of arrogance and superiority and abusing the audience of the discourse . My only problem with you is your undertone. Learn to be humble, it will save you one day. Anyway I like your suggestion on 2023 elections. |
ClintonNzedimma:Check again, some of his posts reeks of condescension of others. He believes his train of thought is absolute and anyone who disagrees is somehow blind or lacks the insight that only he has . By the way, why advice people and at the same time subtly abuse them? If I will accept advice with abuse from someone, it has to be from someone that has toeed the path and has the experience. Hence why I asked for evidence of his experience in programming and entrepreneurship |
Mr op this is my own question : What startup have you started? What product have you deployed in Nigeria? Or Africa self. Because you are souding as if everything is easy. Like you are the only enlightened one, the wizard of business and tech that has come to save Nigeria programmers while writing half truth essays laced with attacks against Nigerian programmers . Show us your startup, let's see if you are qualified to dish out advice. The most painful aspect of your writing is when you shaded africon on his startup like you are any better. Show us your work! Anyway thanks for the startup program links you posted above. You are not completely unhelpful |
See op. The deed is already done. You just have to make the best out if the situation. Make lemonade out of your lemon. Sometimes we think situations are the worst and we get worked up over nothing .in the long run, it doesn't matter a single bit... Right now you have time to plan your life. You have a year to map out your plans and what you want to venture into. It is very crucial to be intentional in this life,in that way you will know what you want and have the correct motivation to run after it. I will advice you to focus rigorously on attaining financial independence. Read books. Learn how money works, how companies are formed and run and all the different type investments . And most importantly choose and learn a skill. No matter what always look at things at the positive end. Always strife to stay happy, no allow depression or sadness to steal your time, they do nothing other than rob you of the joy of life. Just see this year as a year of self improvement, if you do all these you will be busy to the teeth, you won't notice when the whole year will be over. .cheers I wish you well. |
How can we have progressive Nigeria, how can we have a better country with people thinking like this?? Utterly disgusting. I'm angry |
Honestly I feel like calling this op a fool I'm just controlling my self. It's like you are not in this Nigeria, you are not affected by the insecurities, economic downturn and ever increasing prices of foodstuffs is not affecting you. If correct hunger wire you and they kidnap you or your family ,your brain will reset and you will stop talking nonsense. Will Jesus be happy with killing, kidnappings going on in this country? Will he be happy about the Hunger, corruption and poverty in this country?? Please try to use your brain small. Nonsense |
Op. A lot of people are in this boat including myself . Learning syntax is easy, the real deal is problem solving. What you have to focus on now is learning how to solve problem. See the big picture of a particular problem and break be it down into tiny smaller pieces. Also learning how the whole flow of a solution will be will help u in writing pseudo code . After you get the pseudo code, the rest is to code it out with the syntax you have learnt. To learn problems solving, the best thing is to study data structures and algorithm then design patterns. This will give you ideas on how to solve any problem presented to you. Finally, start a personal project. No matter how big, start now. Just take it step by step. Assuming it is a website you want to build, start from the navigattion. Search google for how to code a navbar, study plenty answers and implement it on your website. For login, search how to do authentification on Google, see the answer, learn and then implement on your website. With time, you will get the overall view of how everything works then you start coding with minimal Google Search. Stackoverflow is your friend. Summary just learn logic then you can Google Search all the syntax . I hope this helps. |
I believe the op is not trying to replace the tech giants. What he meant is taking few functionalities form each tech company mentioned and blend it into one functional app... Op it is good to dream big, new tech companies are springing up day by day. This could be the next big thing, we can never tell and all those tech giants won't be here forever. Something new will eventually come out. Op if I get you correctly, you want to build a social media app with e-commerce functionalities.. It is doable. I'm interested, how can I join you guys? |
The present Kara state government do not have good advisers. Because this issue of religion is a tricky one and making decisions haphazardly as they have done had divided the state along religious line, even the effect is felt outside of the state.. The government should have know taking either the side of hijab or being against hijab will bring backlash from either grieved parties. What the government should have done is to remain neutral. Neither be against nor for hijab at all. The government simply should barn any religious dressing from school and put in place a generalized dressing for all student. A beret for all student will do and standard color code for all student. So the student body will appear homogeneous and one won't know a Christian from Muslim. Barn all religious dressing in schools. Afterll it a school for God's sake. They are there to learn not to show case their religious attire. Government neutrality is the only solution to this problem as a whole. Government has to be religious agnostic to not cause divides in an already divided country like our. My 2cent . |

One man can change the world. Given the recent stories, treatment of Africans all over the world, issues of slavery and colonization, Africans should be enraged and be motivated to develop the continent. Nigeria should be the forerunner of this change being the most populous black nation. Change Nigeria then we can change the whole continent.Maybe I'm talking out of sentiment and pain but have been reading much about slavery, colonization apartheid an the likes and I'm very much enrages as Bleep. It's time Africa manned the duck up. And it can be done, it is doable. One man can change the world, I can change Nigeria. The question op asked struck a cord in me and I'm happy it did.i have decided to start reading about history, politics, governance etc I will probably go into politics. To answer the op with my current level of knowledge,i will believe governance is about the people and their want. So it begs the question what do people want? We all want to be healthy, successful, happy, rich, secured and live a good life. So a good leader must act in a way to improve the standard of living of the people. I have known quite a long time ago that leading is easier said than done. It is tasking and difficult especially in a rugged terrain like Nigeria's. So if I become the president of Nigeria, o will focus on what I believe to be the key component that actually implicates people's life namely : Health sector Education sector Economy. I will blanket my discussion and not go into the nitty gritty. No matter how great ones intentions are, of there are no funds to enact them, they are as good as useless. Nigeria is probably a poor country and that's why we borrow money day in day out. I guess Jeff bezos is many time richer than our GDP. So in short we have to create money to fund our goals. So Diversification (agriculture, minerals, industrialization,, making nolywood as big as Hollywood. Increasing ease of doing business through tax reductions all the likes. Making Nigeria investors attractive etc?) In summary we have to be fucking rich to fund out development. Increase revenue and blocking money wastaje at every sector. 2) education : maybe it's the school I went to bit we were never taught history, biafra war ,world wars and all the likes. Out teaching approach is basically theoretical and abstractive . Our education system needs to be revamped to model the best in the world. We should invest heavily in our universities, reaseach, science and tech. Today the world is going online, to reduce cost, schools can go online too. 3) health, a healthy People is a healthy nation. Perfect health insurance scheme should be lit in place. We need to build modern and state of art hospitals.. I believe if these sectors are taken care of, the effect will reach every other. And lastly to achieve my aim, I will select people that share my dream and ambition as my cabinet members. |
Badboibipo:You can write. We both know you can. You can even self publish on amazon Kindle . I still insist that you go ,I know sometimes hospital offers free consultation. You can never know if you write them off.. It very important you know your diagnoses and if medication or therapy sessions with a psychologist can help you. And lastly doctors do not take joy in the death of patients, in fact it takes toll on them that's why there's is always mortality and mobility seminar to determine how the hospital is fairing .infact most doctors pay their patients fee at one point or the other. I didn't expect this statement of hasty generalization from you as I thought you knew things are not always as they seem.most times it is more than meets the eyes |
Wow. I don't even know what to say. Humans can be wicked even when totally unwarranted. You have had one hell of an experience, seeing life through a prism most human wouldn't even imagine. You have done a good job shedding light on the average experience of a mentally unstable in a society like Nigeria. You shouldn't feel bad about people who ignore you, most time when people cant offer any help to you, they ignore. Heck they can barely help themselves so why bother compounding your problem by looking at you disdainfully. I know you don't want advice, pity.... Except love which you mentioned severally in your post. First you have to love yourself and believe you deserve love. I don't know the help you have seeked but I believe you have to love yourself enough to go to a psychiatric home so professionals can help you Secondly I noticed that you write wonderfully well. Why don't you tap into this your experience and write a book detailing your life, problem and experiences. Books last for eternity and it is a better choice than nairaland post in terms of durability Lastly please don't give up Help will come soon.. I can't do anything to help but this is my contribution. I hope everything works out well for you in the end. |
Bro, you have to put more conscious effort on your weigth gain goal. Special effort should be made on your diets(this alone can solve your problem). Mind you, the food you eat should be nutritious and in adequate amount. Don't just eat 5 spoons of food and claim you are eating balance diet. As some one said earlier, stock your fridge and cook. It pays in the long run. If you can include gym in your schedule Its actually better, but u can start with body weight exercises like pull up, chin up target the back(latissimis dorsi),your shoulder and biceps.pushups, situps, squats and calf raises. There are actually apps for planned body weight exercises on play store. If u can commit to eating well in the right quality and quantity and doing body exercises and being physically active, u would definitely see improvements as from 2 to 3 months no matter how fast you think your metabolism is. Good luck. |
Lets wait till the court decides... It is left for the FBI to prove without doubt that he was the scanner... I see this guy winning the suit and sueing the FBI for tanishment of image |
This is sad. imagine toiling day and night for something and someone is withholding the result.its enough to make one go crazy .do they think it's easy burning mid night candle reading your ass off. In fact am angry on the boy's behalf. What king of institution is jamb.,they wrote to them demanding for explanation and they couldn't give any. Why does anything not work in Nigeria? I just wish the parent gather money and train him outside Nigeria where they won't frustrated his efforts.. The one thing I hate in this life is faustrated efforts, not one by natural causes but by avoidable human error and madness...ninsense |

Well perception is everything. How we view things matter in this life. So you spent 5 years in school and your getting a third class, and so what. You think a degree will guarantee success in this life. Ppl should stop viewing university as a cash cow. It just where u learn. Theory and the likes. Forget about any 5 years, you should be looking forward. Get your third class certificate and as people has already advised above 1 go for msc 2 go for certification (oracle and the likes.) beside your course is it related, they care more about what you can do than your degree. 3 go for programming training centers. And of you really wish to go back to school. 1 you can go for a reputable part-time school And combine it with a good programming training center. 2 since your goal is becoming a good programmer there are various online teaching centre edx, cousera, etc And you can freelance too while learning too. DaBogu:You really want to force your unsolicited teaching down our throat. See how u completely ignored the topic of discussion here and embark on your own agenda, hmm. Anyway u must have comported yourself to give the illusion of magnified worthiness(which is cool by the way) in which you yourself do not believe or maybe they saw something in you u havnt discovered orrrr they are complete dunces who have zero judge of character and have money to throw around. But then u have balls made of steel for asking twice the price (maybe ovaries of steel ).i know u ran mad with joy that day.what made u ask for *2 and not *10.their reddiness to accept means they are still spending under there own budget.Anyway thanks for the lesson ![]() |
Open, you are very courageous. You should be proud, not many people can do what u did. Forget about who graduated before who, it doesn't matter in the long run. |

Of all the problems in this world: famine, war, global warming, Boko Haram and most especially buhari. People can have time for this? Wonders shall never end |
This is somehow tricky. Though maturity differs but I think she's still young, she definitely doesn't know what she want. Let her experience life small before she is tied down with marriage. Let her explore on her own at lest you did too.. So she won't regret loosing her youth to marriage. Concerning education, any contribution you make there should be considered a donation or investment In a person you care about, love as u said.this should be done with no aim of getting anything back, even marriage. Don't make it a blackail or bondage for her. Let her know you see in a her a future partner and u love her and it her decision to marry you or not... Let her choose u it's easier that way. You can pay for her first 2 years in school, preferably pay part and let her parents do the rest, afterall she's their child. Consider the 2 years a courtship/dating...it will shed more light on if you love each other/compactibility.at the end of the 2nd year ,you can both decide if you want to marry each other, you that claim to love her now might think differently later. Use the 2 years to develop yourself more financially, you would be surprise what you can do with proper motivation. Lastly I understand time is not a commodity you can afford but anything worthwhile take time, effort and hardworking. It's marriage it has to be done well. My 2 cent |
Borno programmer, take your time. A dey warn you. You better join me and let's brainstorm and make things happen instead of showing your hatred..
