@ all,

if you don't get HEART don't do short term trading. You will get HYPERTENSION. Most of you following Fatherof2's strategy don't know the kind of person he is. When FCMB was dropping after the lifting of TS and people were shaking, he was resolute. That means that he is willing to wait it through. Secondly he is not under 'pressure' to sell. Thirdly, he is well diversified with deep pockets. Fatherof2 is recommending First Bank you think he is planning to clean out in two weeks? He went into WAPCo you think he is talking about 2 weeks? If you don't tailor your strategy to your personality, you will soon be on the hospital bed. Fatherof2, please teach your students about risk in relation   to age, size of porfolio, investment objective etc or else you go carry many dead body!!!!!!
Ah my guy you miss am there oh.
Everybody get choice now.Leave them now.
You do your own advice and HUMBLY let them be.No be FORCE
As per Wapco, you think say na march last year i buy am wait so many months.NEVER
As per First Bank,me i know say dem give bonus and people must sell.I wan target some more very soon with the exact timing.
Once i see wetin i want for first bank,i dey remove my profit(whether 1 or 2weeks).I no dey tie money down no where.
My rule na 0-3months(and everything inbetween).
No price graph ever heads up indefinately anywhere in the world. What goes up must come down.
Me i respect all for this thread.Na great human beings dey wen get sense.I no hold any assumptions about anybody.
LET THEM BE MY BROTHER. WE DEY ALL LEARN.

Intenegin is too expensive at a forward PE of 31.

@ All,
I'm glad you all are waking up to the issues I've always had with POs in Naija. It's not worth the trouble. Stay in the secondary market.
Men i don lie down give you for that one. I use my head, leg, hand, neck,BREAST take support you for that one.I mean wetin person dey kill e sef for the PO. They will all give you 20000000% in 15years.So i go dey sleep for 15years wen action full ground for secondary market. You tie money down for nothing, loose juicy trades where your profit grows by compounding and in the end they return your hard earned money with 5% annualised interest.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by FatherOF2: 2:16pm On Jan 10, 2008
@D-DOTS,

The year end of most companies is usually written in a lot of financial news papers. As a guide if you know the Year end,you can count 3 months for each quarter. Most companies that release regular interim results do so from 0-2months(max) after the end of the quarter in question.
If you'll like to take positions for quarterly results, you need to look at the prices with great concentration and focus from the time the quarter ends and hit it on any thursday/friday when the price appears cheap and take position. Then wait for the announcement.
You can take position on all companies, just the juicy ones.
Overtime i know prices are high mid month and low towards to the end of the month. There's a lot of borrowed money in the exchange and it's usually time to make interest payments by month end so you see opportunities then.

Looks like the TS on Fidelity has been lifted closed at 11.24, FBN lost 0.59, the much celebrated UBA has fired the stock off the face of the planet earth, it lost 0.59 today.
No no no my brother, that's not the way to look at it my brother. It only showed you that YOU should have bought today. If you haven't bought,go and buy.
When a stock is undervalued,it is UNDERVALUED.Why worry?.
If train dey move for road and tyre burst (no be to stop change tyre).
I remember when FCMB just came out of TS and it was persecuted for falling by two notches. Some people don carry their profit last friday go buy vitafoam yesterday. That one results dey around the corner.

@Baba2 (Fo2) - I don hear you. God don bless u.

I also dey Access, e remain small make i commot o. Na witch time u wan commot, make I follow u?
Ah you no sell some last week(your profit).Na only my profit i remove.I wan reinvest my profit for other stocks before friday this week.
Access will go down and come back up.
I normally watch between 18-20 trading days from the day a stock reached its last peak as my signal to detect the next bull run.
From my projections, this may just fall at about the time Access would want to release 9months in early feb and hence hopefully another bull.

it's triple digit growth but it does not project well to the 13.3B they promised us in the prospectus. They sold twice as many shares as they offered and they are not exceeding expectations. I've got low expectations in the near-term; even if they meet the prospectus projection, forward PE is now 29 compared to 16 for UBA. I'm out.
Easi, i hope you meant i'm out of the room and not i'm out of the stock oh.

Thanks for your comment.
Do you think the price can still go up or what? What do you forcast for next two months for this stock.
As dem don reprogram the stock,na only kaduna dem write for the bearing.
Even if it falls a little,it'll be by those who don't know and think profit don come overnight.
But its nothing near real value.
Besides fewer units will now be running around.Dem too many before.

the insurance bloodbath continued today. Any pointers . i dey loyal .
Dear Barge,

Na you i dey respect oh,you dey prostrate for there,me i just dey clean my shirt now now for the lie down wen i lie down for you.
I dey gain from all your post oh.Even if i no talk too.
I don gain from Easi,pumping machine,ololufemi(company info),kpineo(uba bid/offer),Dr. Tom cruise(akTOPGUN).
Dem no dey know am finish. You HUMBLY learn.
As per insurance ololufemi don talk am finish, dem go bleed tire this week, but small transfusion dey come for some.
Niger showed some resistance today.Today would have been another day to restrike it.But a very brief strike.I expect small 15% plus rise and e go settle down. All the others will start to settle next week with this small 15% plus rises here and there and find new levels.
This week i'm taking out some WAPIC profit by tomorrow.
Generally for this insurance coys, like i've said earlier, this is really not their season. They're always the fall guys.
They enjoy a lot during bull market, but na dem dey suffer all the suffer wen its time for bears.Institutional investors/brokers thrash dem a lot.
They'll push the prices before its time to start making their BankPHB returns.
I for advice you to hide in the bush like a stalking lion so when FBN show e weakness, you devour am for the neck, right now guys still dey sell their
1 for 6.

You see, there can be very good statistics with both short term trading and long term investments. Let me tell you that in the last 2 weeks of December last year alone, I know of a N25M trading portfolio that already grew by 30%.

My take is that you should go with the one you are comfortable with. Both of them work.
Well said pumping. Both definately work. Its the one you chose to adopt.
I for one can't just do long,e dey scratch me for body.
I've been on it for some years now and its done me very very very very well.
Don't want to say too much about my portfolio, but short has put me in good stead to cross into a nine digit portfolio in some good months time this year.

Oya no more long, short gist again. Buy time dey approach.
