253 Nigerians, who have been
stranded in Libya were Tuesday
deported back to Nigeria aboard
an Airbus A333-200 with
registration number 5A LAT.

The 253 returnees who were
conveyed on the Libyan Airline
plane comprised of 140 adult
females and 8 children. Also
aboard were 103 adult male and
3 male children.
This is the largest single batch of
deportees to arrive Lagos Airport
in recent times. The returnees
journey back to Nigeria, as usual ,
was facilitated by International
Organisation for Migration, IOM,
after the Federal Government
asked for its assistance after
confirming that some Nigerians
were willing to return home.
The aircraft conveying them
landed at the Murtala Muhammed
International Airport, MMIA,
around 8:10pm yesterday and
were received at the Hajj Terminal
by the National Emergency
Management Agency, NEMA. There
were two medical cases among
the deportees with one of them
suffering serious burns on her
face and the second had mental
depression.
Addressing newsmen at the Hajj
Camp wing of the airport where
the returnees were profiled, the
Director General of NEMA, Engr
Mustapha Maihaja , represented
by the Deputy Director, Search
and Rescue, Dr. Abdullahi
Onimode, said the deportees
would be given some token to go
back to their respective
destinations. He also advised
those leaving the country in
search of greener pastures to
have a rethink and stay in the
country to develop it.
The NEMA boss, in a repeated
sermon, said, “We are giving
them some stipends. We need to
let them realize that the country
they left some years ago is not
the same country they are
meeting today. We have moved
ahead and everybody now has
equal opportunity to be the best
you can be.”
Some of the deportees said they
will never leave Nigeria again.
One of them who identified
herself as Mary told Vanguard that
it was a miracle she returned
safely back to Nigeria as she was
being sold like a piece of
merchandise in Libya. According
to her,” They were selling some of
us like wood from one guard who
will take us to some destination
and again sell us to another who
will now be our new owner. That
will take us again to some
distance and say his contract with
us has expire and again sell us to
another person.”
She added that “ if you complain ,
they will ask you if you don’t
want to go to Europe again. My
brother, e no easy”, she laughed

Na for everybody to see wetin UNN students dey pass through. I know say in dey other schools but unn own na something else. Some lecturers for many department there dey happy say their students no graduate on time, imagine that. Students just dey there dey collect ranks like police officers. U will see ranks like one star (i.e 5/4 or 6/5)=one additional year, two stars (ASP confirmed)=6/4 or 7/5. DSP with 3stars=7/4 or 8/5 and so on. E no easy to enter that school and e no easy to come out. To enter, wahala, to comot wahala again.

All stream 2 corpers are veterans. We fought our way through into serving the fatherland through our protests, calling and messaging DG, ministers and others. We endured many failed dates given by NYSC... It seems we would have to fight our way out. If fighting is all that they understand. We have to give it to them.

In Kano camp, the same set had to fight their way out (through serious demonstration/protest) before NYSC had to pay them their allaweee for camp. Continue the fight. Even the Israelites fought their way to the promise land. So ride on but fight wisely ooo.

I have some questions but before I ask I would like to thank God who can do all things (Omnipotent God).

i. Who recorded the boy's conversation with the gov?
ii. How did he beat all the security intelligently before getting access to the gov only with the intention of taking snap shot in this Nigeria where every one is suspecting every one? One or two security men aided the guy's passage.
iii. Who covered the entire episode in pics like that starting from the time he was approaching his Excellency?

I don't doubt God's power and miracles. But what we see in some churches today surprises everybody. Some miracles are simply being staged.

I thank God for the guy if actually what we read and see here is all that happened to lead to what happened but if there is a season1 acted behind the scene before this very scene... Still I will thank God for everything. Favours come from Him alone.

I don't understanding this country any longer. I think they said first class in Nigerian universities comes with automatic employment (retaining). How come this one who should be heading back to his department in UNIBEN (federal university) for 'auto-emplo', is celebrating appointment in a state college of education? For me it is ironical. Or am I the one that got something wrong along the line? Please correct me if I am wrong because if first class graduate should be surprised like this because he gets appointment at state coll of education, how much more surprised will a person with pass degree be when he gets employment? Just asking ooo.

Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, started its regular degree programmes for cadets some years ago. Cadets who undergo this 5-year programme successfully will be awarded degree in their respective field of studies as well as commissioned as ASP (Assistant Supritendent of Police) upon completion. This year's forms are now available for all interested candidates both male and female within the age of 17 and 22years. Candidates must be a citizen of Nigeria, with good character and must meet the height requirement, chest expansion for men, O' level as well as UTME requirements. For O' level, there must be at least six credit passes including English Language and Maths got in not more than two sittings and must not have been obtained before the year 2013 ( i.e four years back).

It is an opportunity for those who wish to join the force especially now that UTME registration is on going. Interested candidates must choose the institution as their choice university. Entrance screening (written, physiological, psychological etc) follows after the candidates must have scored pass mark in UTME as approved by JAMB.

For the first you are posting something totally out of point. It is very close to being a trash. I mean your original post not this one that I quote here. You yourself cannot reconcile the points you raised. Being a virgin restricts one from other sins and some predisposing factors of sin. For example, a virgin might deem it irrelevant to clubbing and flirting around in the school, thereby saving her time for other important thing. At the end she may come out with a better grade that was not sorted out, or even the lower grade she comes out with (uprightly) will work in her favour more than a sorted first class or distintiction.
The bottomline is being a wise virgin as in Matthew 25 because foolishness is a big threat to our salvation

Even God is proud of virgins as well as repented sinners. He blesses them especially if they try and keep other commandments. But being righteous does not guarantee freedom from temptation. So marital success is not a reward for uprightness.

Remember Job in the Bible. He was upright yet he faced all that temptation. Abraham/Sarah had issue with child bearing. But at the end, the Lord showered his blessings on them. So, virgins facing challenges in their marriage does not mean that God does not know what to do.

People are getting it all wrong when it comes to issues like this one. There is nothing like non alcoholic wine. Any wine must contain some percentage of alcohol. Otherwise it is just a juice. They are all English words. So you can look them up in dictionary

No part of the Bible forbids taking of wine. Jesus changed water into wine. I repeat: any drink without an atom of alcohol is not wine by definition. It is a common mistake we make when it comes to understanding wine. There is no product like EVA WINE. It does not exist. Eva and Pure Heaven are both simply referred to as sparkling Juices. Even the manufacturers write their names but we Nigerians continue to call them Eva wine and Pure Heaven wine. Check the label and you will see for yourself.

The Bible recorded that Jesus drank wine from olive tree (with his apostles) during the Lord's supper. Not juice! The Bible only teaches us to drink in moderation and to not be controlled by what we take, even food. Coke/sprite/fanta or even malt can never be classified as wine. They were not fermented to alcohol. It's only fermentation process (especially by yeasts) that changes sugary substances into wine like in palm wine.

P.s: I don't drink any alcohol so I am not in any way promoting alcoholism but not on the ground of Biblical injuction.

BIRNIN KEBBI- THE Nigerian Police Force is set to recruit 30,000 Police officers nation wide before the end of this year aimed at beefing up security in the country.

It also said arrangements has been almost concluded to construct 500 housing units in each state of the Federation in order to bring an end the problem of accommodation shortage by the personnel of the force most especially after retirement from service.

Deputy Inspector General DIG in charge of north-west zone, Maigari A, Dikko disclosed these in Birnin Kebbi yesterday when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Abubakar Bagudu at the Government House.

” Our memo on this recruitment exercise was before the presidency for approval and immediately we get the approval we will start the exercise nation wide” said the DIG

Dikko however seek for the cooperation of state governments to educate traditional rulers, local government chairmen and Ulamas about the excercise so that the force at the end will recruit credible candidates unlike the previous times.

For the construction of the 500 housing, Dikko stated that an agreement has reached advance stage with estate developers to start the construction work.

Responding, Governor Abubakar Bagudu commended the efforts of police for restoring peace in the nation particularly in the north east region.

He assured the DIG that Kebbi will assist the force both at the state and Headquarters with whatever means in ensuring peace in the state and the country as whole.

In any rumour, there is an element of truth but not in this baseless rumour. How on earth will NYSC give corps members roughly 6-week terminal leave? That fake news must have enamated from hungry bloggers seeking traffic. Discard it and start preparing for ur POP on 24th of May if you are one of them. If you have any other confusion/question, I'm ready to attend to it

@Op, no matter what happens, try and have at least small respect for ur country. Without Nigeria, there wouldn't have been Nogerians. It's still our country no matter the challenges it face in its growth and development process. Most advanced countries equally faced some challenges during their own time of growing and developing.

On the issue u raised, the couple's attitude is also a predisposing factor for what the country faces today. They should have tried and build a career first before joining together. It's only by certificate. Opportunities abound in this country for serious people especially business-minded entrepreneurs. See what they are using us to do in this recession. They will buy s/thing N10 and sell it N500 because of 'dollars'. No career is too small to sustain s/one. It depends on commitment.

Graduates should stop this paper-dependence. It's limiting their potential. Tell me how couple's parents who can foot their children's marriage bill, will not be willing to support their children if they chose carrer first. They are very lucky to have such good parents.

Tell me again, how a jobless couple will raise their children to the taste of modern Nigeria without money to send them to good school, take career of all their needs etc.

It's high time Nigerians realized that we should control our emotion (love) instead of the other way round. Real love never dies.

I wish them well oooo but they should note that more challenges are still lie ahead. I am not prophesying doom but let's face the reality. With age and marriage responsibilities disqualifying them from certain jobs, employers looking for younger fresh graduates with working experience, etc, it is better they think of engaging themselves gainfully either in trade or hand work and from their think of upgrading their qualifications for greater and better job opportunities.

This is my opinions though. Other lovers should learn from this story whether it is fictional or real life story. Happy Easter to my christian brothers.

Every corps member is entitled to a 21 day terminal leave within the year of service.That was the case of 2016 batch A stream 1.Now Stream 11 official passing out date is 24th May bt wil b vacating on 3rd May to enjoy their 21 days terminal leave.

No! Get it right. They entered camp on 13th of June last year for a one year programme which should end on 13th June, this year to make it complete one year. But nysc is giving them 3-week terminal leave. So June 13 minus 3weeks will be on 23rd of May. The terminal leave starts on 24th of May. That's why the POP is on May 24. But in their certificate, NYSC will write 12th June as their POP date.

In the case of stream1 2016A, they entered camp on 27th April 2016 to make it one year on 27th April 2017. Now minus the 3-week terminal leave from 27th April and it will be around 6th or 7th of April which was their POP day. You understand?

But the only confusion abt this stream ii is that on that 24th May, the officials must have started orientation camp program with the batch A17. How then will they combine the two important programs the same time?
