Vanpascore:No mind am. All this na drama, in fact, not even a drama but a kingdergaten concert. Imagine the whole hide and seek game |
Let's share experience together and evaluate the progress or otherwise in terms of NYSC mobilization. It does not matter whether you served in the 70s, 80s, 90s or in this 21st century. I start with myself. I finished my final year exams (including everything about my project) in June 2015. My school senate approved our result on August 5 and NYSC mobilized me for service in March 2016. As a result of this their stream i & ii, the wait had to be extended till June 2016 before we started our orientation. So all in all, I spent one year (June to June) after graduation before going for national service. It wasn't easy because by that time I have already employed myself gainfully (when I say gainfully, I mean gainfully) and it became more and more unpredictable when I'll be leaving for NYSC service. The waiting actually affects many graduates' planning and execution of plans for life after school. What about you or any of your relations or neighbours or friends or even your enemies? |

Commendable or condemnable? |
Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi has replaced his late aide, Mr Emmanuel Anaga, who died in a fatal motor accident last Friday, with his son, Emmanuel (Jnr). Anaga, who was the governor’s Technical Adviser on Agriculture, hailed from Ezzamgbo, Ohaukwu Local government Area of the state. Umahi The deceased’s Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) collided with a commercial bus at about 8.30 p.m., leaving him and three other persons dead. Confirming the governor’s pronouncement to in Abakaliki on Tuesday, Chief Clement Nweke, the Governor’s Principal Secretary, said it was a way of appreciating his efforts in the development of the state. “The governor earlier announced that he will be made the Vice Chairman of the Local Government but we opted for a position that will be more continuous, to create the desired impact in the family,” he said. Mr Mark Onu, Chairman, Forum of Technical Advisers to the governor, also confirmed the pronouncement, noting that the forum appreciated the governor for the action. “Anaga, popularly called Chico, was energetic and resourceful while alive and above all, lived a life worthy of emulation. “He was humble to a fault and this endeared him to political stakeholders in the council, state and even the governor.” Onu remarked that the governor’s action showed that he was responsive to peoples’ needs, especially those at the grassroots. “The forum of technical advisers will appreciate this gesture by re- dedicating ourselves to the service of the state and support the governor in delivering dividends of democracy to the people.” He remarked that the forum would continue to support Anaga’s family and ensure that his son was duly integrated into the fold in the execution of its activities. “I urge my colleagues to live exemplary lives worthy of emulation as Anaga’s life on earth made political stakeholders in the state extol his virtue and identify with his family in this moment of grief,” he said. |
Love Machine:Why are you always so pessimistic about the future of Nigeria. It makes you look a bit stupid. Sorry for using the word but even if you are benefitting from the harsh economic situation, must you always be projecting and predicting darker future your country? Be more mature in your application of sense especially on public issues like this. |
Nigeria, Good people, Great nation!!! I love Nigeria, my fatherland |
Dismissing him is not a punishment, if I may say, considering his recklessness and wickedness. The man is a terrorist not a policeman. So after trying him and sentencing him to imprisonment, they will still release him as a fortified criminal and threat to the general public. Maybe by then, if he has not yet repented, he must have graduated from trigger-happy police man to a trigger-angry kidnapper or armed robber. May God touch his heart so that he will feel full remorse and repent whole-heartedly. But if he resists repentance, may he taste the bitter soup he is cooking for innocent and law-abiding citizens with his trigger. RIP to the dead and quick recovery to those wounded lads. |
Nigeria and violence eeeeh! Are we not tired of heads rolling. The ones that have been rolling since, where have they landed us? |
Even this your question alone is enough reason to disqualify you from serving. You are now OFFICIALLY exempted not on the ground of age limit but... @Mrlouis come and see ooo! |
Epositive:I agree with you. Na true you talk. Apart from the first one, IM, others na rubbish. |
You mean it? Fart here I come. My roommates don suffer. Dem go dey receive am from me like anointing. To all my roommates: My apologies in advance. Make una no vex ooo. Na wetin I learn from nairaland today I won practise so. |
It's simple. |
Estelle247:O.k! Thanks for your explanation. Have a sweet night rest and pleasant dreams. |
gbegemaster:Guy, u ar not correct even using accounting method. Check my Mathematical analysis above or see this my second analysis here. This one is more practical. Assuming you have only N1000 (one note N500+2notes of N200 i.e N400+ 1note of N100) with you and your roommate borrows the N100 note and the same roommate steals the N500 note. You are then left with only N400. Later that your roommate pays you his debt (of N100) with a N500 note (the one he stole from you) and you use the remaining N400 with you to give him change (balance). What you have with you now is only the N500 note the he paid you; but your initial money with you was N1000. How much have lost? The answer is N1000-N500 = N500 If you have understood it now, thank me and if you have not, ask me your questions. |
Anybody wey go won scam graduates no go succeed with those rubbish grammar in the above posts. Full of grammatical errors. |
We need more details into this story before a meaningful comment can br made. In the first place, what led to the shooting and where was the particular scene of the tragic event? What led to the trigger happiness-madness, drugs, evil spirit or what? Second, were the victims confronting the police in any way? Because I know that there is even something like juvenile ....for persons under the age of 18years Why have the govt and NPF kept silent on the matter? If something has been done to discipline the trigger happy policeman, we should be kept updated so that we should not comment on presumptions. Meanwhile, RIP to the dead and quick recovery to the wounded. |
The simple answer is N500 but since mathematical proof is needed here, let's go:- let the stolen money be a, the balance you gave out be c and the borrowed money be y. a+c+y=total loss.(i.e all the money you gave out during the process) Now when a=500, c=400 y=100. 500+100+400=1000. Total expenses in the whole process=N1000. Total income during the entire process which is the money that the person gave you=N500. Therefore, final answer=total income-total expenses. i.e N1000-N500= N500. |
Enough of these NEPA (National Embarrassment & Public Annoyance). Embarrassing and anniying headlines all the time. Nigeria why nah? After Suleman, Dino took the centre stage, all na NEPA, NEPA. Even our recession go dey vex for us now say we no dey mention am for news again this time around. |
In no distant time, the story will change direction. The headlines will also change like these: Certificate Saga: Senate Apologizes To Dino Melaye. |
Affidavit in Nigeria is an evidence of lie. With an affidavit, a man can even get maiden name. You just go to court and swear what both the swearer and the swearee know is a lying lie. No problem shaa. Make we just continue the lie for this country, after all, our minister of information and CULTURE is Lie (sorry Lai) by name. So lying is our CULTURE at least for now. It's a season of Lie. |
Why was his name missing from the school website in the first place? O.k we have agreed he graduated in 2000 but where was he posted to for his NYSC one year compulsory service? I mean his PPA not just the state. In other words, where is his exemption letter or his discharge certificate from NYSC? Over to you Senate. |
I am not in any way doubting miracles. God does wonderful things right from time immemorial. But sometimes, people (especially third world people) might ignorantly bury somebody with little life still remaining in them. Some of the victims of this ignorance will finally/eventually die inside their grave/mortuary. Once someone enters coma for a long period of time or the heart stops beating, people will ignorantly think they are already dead especially in the absence of qualified medical personnel who might do the confirmatory test:- checking the pulse rate and all that. All the same, all glory belongs to God Almighty the giver of life. May He give us life in abundance and preserve the life for us. |
All these interventions, who taught/lent the govt the idea now or if they have the idea before, why did they wait so long before applying the strategy? Anyway, we are moving forward. That's gr8. I am not a wailer |

I know Liepods can be so desperate when it comes to money issue but in this case, they remain innocent until they are proven guilty. The pix should show that drips are actually expired and people producing and selling them are equally guilty if they are in one way or the other aiding the faking process. |
O.k oooo! |
My own concern is when it will reflect on the prices of imported goods. Let it no be like the recovered loots which does not benefit an common man. |
When someone said that our presido PMB (chilling in London by then) has kicked the bucket. I don't know the someone but I know that the lie was tailored by someone. |
The reason is obvious and simple! Many people benefitted from MMM. Take it or leave it. That's the truth. If MMM regains its ground, businesses will record boom again even the number of subscribers and data users will double. In January, even non-mmm participants were busy surfing the internet for the latest update on frozen mavros. |
