shortgun:. Is giving all about offering/tithe? Don't be deceived. Read Matthew 25:35 to 46 and you will discover the type of giving that will lead to eternal life. That's the final judgement. Jesus made it clear that he will be the Judge and then gave us the criteria/standard that He will use in carrying out the judgement. Emphasis was on using what you have to help those around you who don't have them- feeding the poor, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and the prisoners, welcoming strangers to your home etc. Give your offerings/tithes but work more for eternal life by meeting the above criteria. I hope they have international recognition. What are their respective rankings in the 'best universities' in Africa and the world at large? What distinguishes them from public universities in Nigeria? It's just a show of class (ostentatious)- imakwa ndi anyi bu? My son is in Igbinedion University, or my last born is in final year in Covenant... Don't mind them, Nigeria graduate still remain Nigeria graduate. Shikena! That's all! |

First class ooo! Second class ooo! Third class ooo! Even fourth class ooo!!! None of them makes you an important person to humanity. What makes you a rare gem is your ability to solve human problems. Get the ability, utilize it well and timely, and history will never forget you. But put your hope/trust in CGPA (ordinary paper work which can be maneovred) and limit your achievements and potentials in life. Paper qualification is not transferrable (once you breathe your last, that's all); hence we should rather go for those skills/knowledge that will live even when we are gone, striving to leave indelible footprint in the sands of time. Nigeria will start growing faster the very day we shift emphasis from paper qualifications to developing our human capacity. I had the so-called good grade though, but that's NOT what is differentiating me from my peers. 2 Likes |

But the Jewish misconception that life ends here was was corrected in the Gospel of Matthew 22: 22-33. It's only those Jews that don't believe in Jesus Christ or his teachings that still hold that wrong notion that there is no resurrection or life after death- either heaven or hell. |

True, the author belives in making the most out the this useless life but then he draws our attention to afterdeath by talking about judgement in two difference part of the book. First in Chapter 11 verse 9, he says 'Young man, enjoy your youth, ...follow your heart desire and...BUT KNOW THAT FOR ALL THESE THINGS, GOD WILL BRING YOU TO JUGDEMENT'. And in chapter 12 verse 14 he says 'FOR GOD WILL BRING EVERY DEED INTO JUDGEMENT, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil'. Is judgement taking place in this present life or in life after this? Read the verses yourself. I need your response asap please. |

The book of the Bible that I cherish most is Ecclesiastes. For me it is the summary of the entire message of the Bible (though my opinion) because if we see life as vanity and live it as simple as it is presented in the book, there is no need to preach to us to be good again. I love each verse of this wisdom-filled book as each verse conveys a life changing message which is very comprehensible and aplplicable to true life situation. The author presents life in fullness of its futilty. '....vanity upon vanity... all is vanity'. Meaninglessness of life is presented in a heart-melting manner that anyone (christian or non christian) reading it must, at some point, pause to ponder. As far as we know that there's time for everything under the sun, we must apply wisdom in all we do: enjoying ourselves and the outcome of our struggle, but bearing in mind that at the end, we will answer for everything we do.
