Congratulations mama... There's no harm in giving formula until breastfeeding is established. After then you can start your exclusive. Just keep putting your baby to breast, you might feel nothing is coming out but some things will come out.

Congratulations on the birth of your princess. On lactating, try not to worry because worrying in itself can cause you not to lactate. Just relax, eat and drink a lot of water, put your baby to breast always and trust your body to do what it is made to do. E hugs

Good evening all, is it possible to get a wrong scanning report as regards to fibroid. Had a scan 3wks ago from a specialist hospital where my HMO is using.It shows am 5wks preggy, no heartbeat found yet but 3 mass of fibroid with the biggest at 4.5cm in size. Was asked to repeat scan after 3 wks which was done on 27th. The report shows the baby is doing Fyn, heart beat recorded but the fibroid mass had increased to 22.5cm. I was booked to see a gynecologist today and after her physical examination, she said she can’t find any mass as stated in the the two reports done so far but that I should have another scan done today at another ultrasound lab and not from the hospital. I had two different scan today and both result came out the same that no fibroid mass was found. Should I be worried? Has any one experience this? I will be at the hospital by Friday to see the gyne with the scan report.

Yes, I want to believe some hospitals give wrong results /diagnosis. Since it's not affecting your baby and your health I pray it remains so. Happy bumping

Madam, you need to listen to your gynecologist except you're using unprofessional doctors. Meanwhile, remember that I operated my fibroids because of the IVF which was conducted on me after three month. My conception was through IVF not natural conception.

Ma'am, My doctor asked me to stop taking folic acid after conception so that my fibroids will not grow faster but I was instructed to take pregnacare care.

Meanwhile, folic acid was given to after my fibroids operation till I was confirmed pregnant but my conception took place three month after my fibroids operation.

Lols I thought I was the only one that got pregnant not long after myomectomy o. I never listened to my Gynecologist instructions

I travelled down to my side earlier December to remove it but later developed cold feet. Was very very scared as I kept on having series of bad dreams that claimed my enemy's life. Even my mum, brother, sister had the bad dreams too. The worst part of it was the Pastors that knew about my case told me not to go for it that it won't end well. They said the enemies are targeting their life (not mine) through the surgery. One even said if I had done it as against their advice, my enemy would have been in the mortuary not me. I did all the tests and d doctor has already booked me for the surgery in two days time before all these dreams started coming up. We have even concluded everything and he told me that I will need three pints on blood.
Hmmmmm! My sis, all these things got me scared ooo and I had to come back. Even as it s now, I'm still scared of everything but the fibroids are dealing with me seriously. The heavy bleeding and other pains associated with it are just too much and unbearable. Even if babies have not come yet, let me just live a normal life like my fellow women.

Mama, I'm sorry ooo... why did you have to announce to lots of people about the surgery? Some things are better left unsaid. I didn't tell my mom when I had mine in fact none of my siblings heard about it, I didn't tell my Pastor too. Do your surgery quietly and your pregnancy will announce your testimony. Don't give in to any fear

Did you use serapeptase after your surgery? You may want to look into it to prevent adhesions

Lease, I want to ask some questions though: where did you get the myomectomy done and how much did you pay for it?

I just got the sad news I have giant sized fibroids and the doctors recommended a myomectomy.

I'm so terrified of getting one done as I have heard very bad stories of fatalities during the operation.

I also currently trying to shrink it using Longrich products and a change in diet (cu out sugar and starchy foods, and adopted foods like cabbage, carrot and avocado). I just hope it works.

My dear, do not waste your money on fibroid shrinking products, the surgery is not death sentence, like I said get a good gynae, the moment you start walking after the surgery you're good to go. I was discharged the 3rd day and by the 5th day I was doing like I never went under the knife. I didn't have the surgery done in Nigeria, that does not mean you cannot get good hands in Nigeria. The mama that inspired me had hers done at LUTH and she concieved 3 months after the surgery which made me wanted to have it done at LUTH before I decided to stay at my base and get it done and I thank God it was as I wished, I conceived 3 months after the surgery at first try.
The earlier you get it done the better.

*There's no tubes blockage.
*Our fear is the fibroids but I've been careful with what I eat, no meat, no sugary, pastas, drinks etc for over a year now, only fish, veges. I'm really scared of going through surgery. If there's any other way out.
*DH has no growth but mine a little but we just finished the treatment for any infections now.
*Next we intend DH to work on his result.

Please go for the surgery, do not wait any longer. I was once in your shoes when I was diagnosed of fibroids in 2016, I used everything that says fibroid shrinking stuffs, wiated and waited, in the proces of waiting I lost my fiance after our introduction when his family got to know about the fibroids and they said my enemy cannot conceive(details some other time).The fibroids keeps growing bigger and has trippled in size despite all I used, before I finally removed it this year. I had a vertical cut because of the big size, that's to let you have the idea how big it was
There is nothing to be scared of, make use of a good Gynecologist that knows his/her way around the female organs and once you are able to stand up, walk, and pass gas after the surgery, the rest is easy.

I supposed to have come here to give updates but I was waiting for the right time. After my myomectomy, I conceived right after my first try, I wasn't expecting it, my doctor said I should wait for about 12-18 month before trying to conceive but I told her I cannot wait that long because age is no longer on my side and also, I was afraid of the fibroids growing back. futuremoma34 encouraged me to start trying early, and to God be the Glory I am 29+ weeks. Yes. You can. You can use serrapeptase after ovulation. You may want to reduce dosage if you are on high dose. Say you were taking 6 capsules daily of 120,000spu. You may want to reduce to 2 or 3 or 1 caps after ovulation. This is necessary because you do not want to thin the blood above normal if you are on other supplements that thins blood which may not be good for the baby in case you got pregnant. But stop when you get pregnant and see your doctor immediately. You can also add vitamin B6 two days after ovulation. VitB6 aids progesterone which is good for pregnancy in case one is deficient in that. Take bco or pregnacare or a good prenatal vitamins with vitaminB6.

Serrapeptase also help fight inflammations. Some infertility are caused by inflammations in their cervix, tubes, uterus, body. Some inflammations if not all releases some antibodies that attack embryo and sometimes stop implantation after ovulation. This is why they place some women on intralipid before ivf/during ivf. So that the antibodies does not try and kill the embryo. Some doctors also recommend low dose of asprin.

So taking serrapeptase is very helpful. You can do more research on that if you like. Stay blessed.

I have a concern about my incision site o, its a big vertical cut which extends above my belly button amd I have read that such cut takes a while to heal

My myomectomy procedure went well on Wednesday, I was suppossed to be discharged on Friday because I did not pass gas and no number 2, the doctor did not release me. The gas pain ..oh my God, I cried..eventually I passed some gas and did number 2 on Friday evening and I was discharged yesterday. The pain I'm going through right now is much I can't even find a good position to sleep on the bed. I hope it keeps getting better as I take a walk every day as Instructed by my doctor

i have had this process done in the UK, believe me after 4days i was living normal life....cant say the same if process was done here in nigeria

I understand your fear ma'am, u was once in your shoes, I wish you a successful surgery, please mama you can start taking serrapepaste two weeks after your surgery, to avoid adhesion, you will be fine. And also doctors will tell you to start TTC after three months, but as for me ooo, my dear please start TTC after you see your first period dnt wait for three months. Believe me, before you know it, you don conceive.

Please I'm having my myomectomy in few days, and I must say that I'm very scared as the day approaches.
I've read on this thread about Serrapeptase to prevent adhesions, I want to ask that how soon can I start taking it after my procedure, what other medications can I take to prepare my reproductive organs for conception. I will appreciate other helpful info.
