Femijohn198:The man put cross river on the map as we know it today. You won't take that away from him. He did well in the state. He laid the foundation for what has been happening there since. No man is perfect but for you to say he didn't do anything is plain malicious. |
MDGsVISIBLE:This is the problem I have with people like you. Your post has all shades of tribalism on it. Why should he be vice to Bakare? What is Bakare's political pedigree? An accomplished ex governor who has been tested and trusted should be vice to Bakare and he is who again? What exactly would Bakare do asides false prophesies? A man declares his intentions to run for office, you couldn't even suggest any Yoruba or Hausa or Igbo technocrat to be his vice instead you suggest he drops his aspiration for your tribesman to make him vice? Go and reason your matter well. |
I'd vote the man even in my sleep. The Daura President and Atiku are a no no for me. I'd still pick Atiku over Buhari. Duke sir, this may well be your time. Nothing better than to cash into a bad situation. The situation in Nigeria is so bad, we need a unifying factor and a young man with fresh ideas. Any other young technocrat is welcome so long as the daura cow is kicked out with his sectional government. We need to take Nigeria back from vultures and vampires occupying it right now. |
What is this rubbish Na? An engineering student? Doing arts and craft? How is this connected to engineering? He should switch to fine and applied arts. Would serve him better. |
CaptainJeffry:She didn't just arrive. She's even a citizen. |
luwabrooklyn:Exactly. The guy was very confused hence he was pacing everywhere. He took quite some time to decide his next line of action. |
Dimples129:She probably saw "abload " niqqa and decided to plopose to him meanwhile niqqa is married to oyinbo pepper wey go divorce him sorry asss as soon as he touches base. Double jeopardy! The guy was completely confused hence the pacing upandan! His kpali may now be in jeopardy. |
Elenurazorr:@ the picture you posted...hmmmnnnn! How can one person alone have such ugliness embedded in her DNA? Anyway she didn't create herself Sha. |
The north is six times larger in land mass than the south. Sambisa forest is bigger than many southern states. That's more than enough land for cattle colony Mr. Slave minister! |
explorer250:God bless you for this! I find the massob statement distasteful though because all innocent lives matter. |
HungerBAD:The war didn't end, it just took a different form. The Igbos forgave and forgot long time ago, but the wounds were reopened when the nation refused to integrate them nor rehabilitate them. The war is just being fought on different grounds. |
I'm lebete3000:You talk about free mind and you are threatening some one with beheading because he condemned an injustice? Nuqqa puleeeezzzz!!! |
Policeman blind on one eye! OK Na! |
lebete3000:Look at this one ooo! Is this the only thing that comes to your mind? Because you lost one of your adherents? Religion of piss indeed! |
Oga pastor, channel your grievances to Buhari. After all you have access to him. Since you saw it in 1982 what steps did you take to prevent or prepare the body of Christ for these calamities? Condemn the c in c and his inaction over the matter! You cannot pray or curse this one away. Action is required, but until you take action please spare us all this gibberish. |
JUHABACH:Let them direct those statements to Buhari, that's when I'll take them seriously. Warn him in stern terms. But they won't because they all have one skeleton in their cupboard for example Apostle Suleiman. That one kept quiet the moment he was able to wriggle himself out of Otobo scandal. |
I like this. A call to action and not all those shouting pray pray pray. Pray without working even when the Bible clearly says work and pray in that order. Kudos Enenche |
sarrki:Day don break for this one abi is he still dreaming? |
majamajic:Obviously this is some damage control to give the guy a little dignity na . Besides I read about his predicament mid last year, so it's been on for a few years now, just that some of you are getting to hear about it now that Daddy freeze mentioned it. |
SpareNo1:Now, that's how to take a joke. Big ups. |
|
SpareNo1:Ooooshey! Captain Gaydar! |
UjuJoan2:This na nonsense post my dear. You are not competing with Yoruba or any other tribe. Stop this kind of reasoning. It only portrays you as small minded. |
Civilians earn respect, the military demands it. She was wrong on that one like most others. This is the problem with the Nigerian military, they have severe inferiority complex. Just look at this one now comparing themselves with civilians. Each has their role to play. We are not in competition but unfortunately the Nigerian military sees it as such. They always want to use every opportunity they have to show that they are better than you when the truth is that a huge majority of them are societal misfits. I've encountered the military in other countries and the story is way different. Nigerian military are just a bunch of bullies, over privileged bullies with a licence to beat, maim and kill. |
deomelllo:Typical retort of someone who can't engage in a simple constructive debate, analogous to an empty barrel thinking debates are won by who makes the most noise and issues the most threats. When faced with superior arguments, they resort to blackmail. You can't give what you don't have. The substance of the debate repeatedly eludes you hence the name calling and apportioning of insults. I guess you shouldn't dabble into issues that are way beyond your pay grade. No amount of insults could replace facts. You can cuss from now till eternity, it can never be substituted for reason and logic. Prove your mettle or forever hold your peace. |
deomelllo:Easy on the adrenaline. I said in my opening post that I wasn't going to participate in the debate because I don't have the strength now for the likes of you who want to force everyone to share their opinion or be labeled ipob. It doesn't in any way mean support for any side of the argument. The fact that you call his assertions unintelligent without providing answers to the questions he posed puts your understanding of his points in question. You said no single story is supreme yet you are blackmailing him into accepting your words as law without any reasonable counter argument being put forward. You'd do well to respond to the arguments he raised so that others can learn and not waste your banters on an innocent bystander like me who is only here to observe. It's a debate bro, not a constitution. It is said that "The truth is a lie in contest, it all depends on which side prevails. " |
gameboyo:The guy's pov is simple. Infrastructural development is good but has to be strategic. It attracts investment in the long term but in the short term it requires maintenance. How does a poor state manage that maintenance in that short term without being too neck deep in debts that aren't sustainable? It is left for people to reason and argue on both sides of the debate without pouring invectives and resorting to irrelevant nomenclature. That my dear is ignorance. |
deomelllo:I have respect for other people's views so long as it is backed by reasonable argument. One key feature of ignorance is intolerance to dissenting views even when backed by a reasonable argument. A reasonable argument doesn't necessarily have to be 100% correct but can shed more light on a perspective hitherto overlooked by many mainly because of the bandwagon effect. If you feel the guy Y0ruba is wrong, correct him with verifyable facts presented in a reasonable manner like has has done. All these attacks with nomenclature only portrays one as desperate and unintelligent. Ipob this and ipob that! That's the easiest way now for ignorant trolls online to evade logical and reasonable discourse. It only portrays a dearth of knowledge on the issues being debated. |
Y0ruba:My comment is going to be based on your responses and not the topic. This is a fight between brothers so I dare not intervene lest I be called ipob and what not. I like the fact that you are able to see things from a different pov and hold steadfast to it while awaiting any reasonable or superior argument. Kudos for that. Unfortunately you are dealing with majority folks who would be quick to label you ipob because you hold a different view from theirs regardless of whether they have a superior argument or not. The aim of a debate is for a more logical argument to hold sway. That is a rare feature on Nairaland these days as everything is seen through apc /pdp lens and common sense takes flight. Kudos for your approach, it is very commendable. |
Chiefly:Forget this whole family arranged thing and the pity party you are getting here. What are your own interests and priorities? If she didn't have the UK and general's daughter perks, would you be here asking this? If she was some broke as.s girl with such unruly behaviour, what would be your action? Therein lies your solution. Life is like a two way street. You cannot eat your cake and still have it. |
DJperdurabo:I just couldn't help it. |
And as usual, an Hausa/Fulani gets the job! |
