Stop littering the Internet with ignorant, hate filled, bigoted and unintelligent rubbish.
GEJ was rightfully kicked out of office by Nigerians for gross incompetence, laziness, corruption and abdication of duty.
Your PDP uncles and GEJ sat there for 16 years with largest oil earnings, huge reserves, huge ECA and oil selling for over $100/barrel and they still did not build 1 single refinery and they did not repair any of our 4 refineries even after budgeting repair funds year after year.
So, Nigerians/APC/PMB are responsible for 16 years of PDP's neglect, incompetence, corruption and refusal to build refineries or repair any of our 3 refineries and we should go back to the same worthless PDP..?
Good that Nigerians know you ipobs and anti Nigerian elements very well so you silly and toilet essay means nothing... Everything about people like you is seen through the lenses of PDP,apc. Grow up and you'll see they are the same. Stick to issues not party affiliations. The majority of the crooks you defend were once in other political parties and they are all cronies. |

LordAdam16: Stepping on someone's toes in a marketplace is a mistake.
Forgetting to send a well wish to a friend on his/her birthday is a mistake.
Voting Buhari was not a mistake. It was EVIL.
Buhari did not magically change in 2014/2015. He had always been the ostracized bigoted ex-general up to no good. WS and the establishment knows more about Buhari than most of us. And every year he contested, we were all reminded of why he was a bad idea.
What changed in 2014/2015 was unbridled hate for GEJ.
As most Buhari supporters turned critics often say, 2015 was all about removing GEJ, not electing Buhari. You can't call that a mistake. That is premeditated wickedness.
For the hate of GEJ, millions lined up to elect:
1. A renowned bigot and Islamist 2. The patron of the umbrella organization under which the 4th deadliest terror group operates 3. An ex-HOS that had not contributed anything to his village, much more his state or the country in almost 30 years since he left power 4. An ex-PTDF chairman who rose from a meeting and said Nigeria's most infamous dictator was not corrupt 5. An ex-HOS who is paid for life and can't manage his finances orderly such that he claimed not to have enough money to buy a Presidential ticket
And I'm just scratching the surface.
Really, what were these people who made this "MISTAKE" expecting?
That the same man who served under a corrupt dictator and absolved that dictator of all wrong doing would fight corruption? That the patron of Miyetti Allah would give two bleeps about the Herdsmen-Farmers crisis? That the same man who used Boko Haram and Chibok girls to score political points would be in the best position to end it? That a man who can't manage his finances would be able to manage a $0.5 trillion economy properly?
I can not take anyone who voted for Buhari in 2015 seriously? Not now, not ever.
The same people who were vehemently against subsidy removal in 2012, calculated that petrol pump price should be at most N45, are the same people who cheered the removal of fuel subsidy in 2016, and are sheepishly queuing for hours to buy fuel at an average of N250 (a 500% increase within 2 years) today.
And more importantly, they are the same people rationalizing why it is okay to pay N40 per liter subsidy. These are the same people who claim to have made a mistake in 2015. Did they also make a mistake in 2016? What about today with the biting fuel scarcity, are they still making a mistake? If yes, why's there no semblance of the irate response that characterized the attempted removal in 2012?
No educated person who voted for Buhari aside of religious or ethnic reasons would ask Buhari to run his/her business. Yet, out of spite, they forced the man on 200 million people.
In the OP article, Soyinka isn't criticizing the government, he's simply calling for RESTRUCTURING. The same restructuring that has been brushed aside by the establishment. Who is he trying to fool?
Buhari has just 4 more years. I have no problem with him finishing his 8 years. Let him serve how he deems fit and when he's done he should go rest. Because I know Nigerians never learn and deserve every punishment he's meting out. You don't walk around fire expecting not to sweat.
Those who want to keep doing EVIL for whatever reasons best known to them, under the banner of "MISTAKES", so others don't gloat at them can continue. We are all buying fuel at #200+. We all go to the same markets and pay absurd prices. We all carry a Nigerian passport. It's our family members who are filling up the unemployment column. And it's our fellow countrymen who are bombed and matcheted in their sleep everyday.
If a TROGLODYTE and an excuse of a human being, thinks preventing his/her ego from getting bruised is good reason to allow for a nonentity to take our economy and country back 30 years, I say "well done." My hand no dey 9ja mata again. Anyhow una 1 do am, mk una continue.
But all the curses being laid at Buhari would not escape those who knowingly voted for him even when they knew better.
-Lord Perfect response to some dolts littering the cyberspace. Unbridled hatred instigated by a few tribal leaders for their own miscalculated selfish gains. Unfortunately for all, Nigeria is burning in hell because of that and the brimstone part hasn't even come. I warned them that the Yar Adua incident wouldn't repeat itself as they widely thought, but deaf ears were all over the place. They were trying to protect their tribal interests without any other considerations and at the end of the day, only one tribe enjoys it all while the other is just a glorified houseboy. Nigeria as at now has been dragged at best 30 behind. |

You haven't answered my questions yet. Until you do, hush. You are pulling out unfounded statistic..."8 out of 10" Nigerians bla bla bla! Where did you pull that out from? Menzy86: U didn't need saving because I simply couldn't even live long enough amongst them. I lived long years in the north and thought I had had enough until I relocated. Its already obvious that If I dont get outta here soon I wont be getting any saving hand as it will be too late. Another example is how u r cursing and deriding me because I have an opinion. Guess u r either Igbo or yoruba so u c wat I mean? The fact that in most cases we r supposedly of the same faith makes it worse. Ask any neutral in Nigeria who has experienced the three major tribes on different levels and I bet u 80% will share my position. No matter how much u curse, that wont change. Before you continue chanting your misguided rants, please mention instances where your life or any other Nigerian's has been threatened with death anywhere in southern Nigeria by virtue of your religious or tribal affiliations. Every Nigerian lives freely in the sw, se, ss without fear. How is your case different? Can you say the same for the north where a cartoon is published in Denmark thousands of miles away and your Hausa slave masters deemed it fit to massacre southerners in retaliation as if one of them drew the cartoon. The problem is you've grown accustomed to slavery that your sense of judgement has been beclouded and for that you may be forgiven. Since you've run away from the north that you so much cherish its people's , and now contemplating leaving south maybe you'll move into cotonou and spare US the agony of putting up with your tomfoolery. It's beyond salvage. |

No I can confidently say that there seems to be some form of complex with the Yoruba's when igbo is mentioned. Just reading the comments here tire me. A civil matter turned into a tribal war. If his brothers don't stand up for him when it is perceived he is being wronged, who will? Most of the comments here would not arise if it were to be innoson vs fidelity bank or some other perceived igbo bank. But because it is him vs gtb (a supposed Yoruba owned bank) all tribal cards are on the table.
Nigeria has gone to the dogs and I blame buhari for the entrenchment of this deep seated tribal hate going on now in the country. When a president is openly tribalistic, what then do you expect from his minions? Let innoson slug it out with gtb and efcc. It's a civil/criminal case. Any party found guilty should face the laws of the land. Meanwhile it is his right to demand reason for his arrest especially as there a number of cases in court over this issue. No one should tribalize that. |

Remember Sanusi blowing a whistle back then I strongly believe that even if this man is not brought to book, the corruption proceeds will eventually be forfeited to the FG (which is a + for PMB), which I don't think would have happened if it was GEJ's regime GEJ was simply confused & grossly incompetent PMB is by far a better option compared to GEJ How many have been brought to book in the so called anti corruption charade? Just mention one person. GEJ sacked maina, PMB reinstated him and promoted him. Private entities cannot be sacked mind you. The worst of GEJ, OBJ, Abacha, and ibb combined is still light years ahead of pmb's best. Sentiments and hatred downloaded and installed in you guys would not allow some of you reason objectively. Do you know that fashola should be facing a panel right now for incompetence as this happened under his nose and he was none the wiser? You talk about Sanusi blowing whistle, has any of the figures he kept on brandishing been proven? Anyone can whip out figures from their anuses, after all, amaechi also did same. Have they confirmed any? Has GEJ or others been arrested or invited for questioning or jailed? Let's skip GEJ, has anyone on his cabinet been found guilty of corruption and jailed? Why hasn't the landlord of ikoyi-gate been identified and arrested in the saga? Why can't some people reason and ask proper questions devoid of sentiments and preprogrammed hate? If you think the country is better off today than it was three years ago, then there must be a software glitch limiting your processing of facts. The only point agenda of this government is anti corruption! How many convictions have been secured? Just name one. |
