thanks alot for your precious time. I really appreciate it. God bless you

Follow 1forall's advice. My dear, when you love a girl like you are about to die...you are really about to die. A girl who knows your condition, financial, health etc and still pressures you to leave your present abode wants to isolate you first before she finishes you off. Get well first! And if she is not there by then, well, move on. You cannot sustain this kind of marriage now with your present income and status.

The average lagosian is angry by default. You'll only notice it once you've lived outside Lagos for a while. Truth be told, asides the commerce in Lagos, most people would remain or prefer other more serene cities. Hunger is the major driving force that retains people in Lagos. It is easier to make a living in Lagos due to the commercial nature.

Long story. He was in the Uk when I met him 10 years ago. He was arrested by border agency for being an overstayer BUT after 2 years of legal battles, border agency admitted they got it wrong, that he had been granted a visa to stay for 3 years but they lost his passport and he'd never chased them for it. To get a new Nigerian passport, he had to get his sister to send his national id card from Nigeria and that gave the name we're married under. (Mystified how she got him a new ID card but says she paid officials and they gave it to her). So apart from the new ID card and the new passport, no other documents.

He can choose to bear the grandfather's name. It is a common practice especially in Igbo land. There are different naming patterns. I have cousin's that about three of them bear their father's first name as surname, while the other two bear thier grandfather's first-name. In some communities, it is adopted for easy identification.

Oga abeg swerve! All this fear mongering that Nigerian pastors create is becoming nauseating. Is he trying to blackmail his congregation into defending him by co-opting them into the battle? Abegi! You are not Christ, face your tribulations alone. We have enough hunger and poverty in the land to contend with than to add your defence to the list of struggles to overcome. At least, you are not hungry or homeless like the people you want to fight your battles. Nigerians need to wake the fvck up. The white man that gave you Christianity doesn't monger fear among its congregation, only in Africa. Fear is a great tool to subdue a people and the religious leaders in Africa have learned that trick. Once you speak up against a perceived injustice or Ill happenings in the church, you get blackmailed and threatened with fear using biblical verses to manipulate you. Whatever happened to "Father forgive them for they know not what they do?"

Bunch of crooks!

Isn't this funny? Just to remove PMB they are all coming together... the same set of guys that have been tried/tested and found wanting.

I am yet to see a better candidate. OBJ is in no position to decide for Nigeria. Time will tell. Every man for himself. People should also learn to cast their vote without sentiment or favour. Consider yourself and your generation to come and know you alone will be responsible for your decision not OBJ or one leader that deceived you into voting for his/her candidate.

If you like, let tribal / religious bigotry decloud your sense of judgement. Na u know.

But as for me and family, we will critically assess our options. PMB doesn't tick all the boxes. For instance, he's not very knowledgeable and smart as you would expect of a 21st century President of a federal republic but he's not as corrupt as many of the so called smart leaders that we have.

Time will tell. A better candidate with a better platform might convince me but not these jokers.

I believe you might be mistaken about the proper definition of corruption. This man is more corrupt than anyone else that has occupied that position. Corruption is when you allow your kinsmen to loot the nation dry and heap the blame on someone else all the while pretending to be a saint.
Corruption is when your govt is one sided and partial to the whims and caprices of your allies(kinsmen).
Corruption is when you turn a blind eye to your marauding kinsmen killing, burning and maiming people everywhere they go and you blame it on a long dead leader of another country.
Corruption is when you arrogate power to yourself and your kinsmen and they become untouchable and deal with fellow citizens treacherously without any recourse to the law.
My dear the list is endless, I could go on and on but I believe you get the drift now.

Obj and Atiku need to settle their differences already. Atiku is their best chance of removing the roving dullard from Aso rock. Nigeria doesn't need an extremist again. As expected, Tinubu would play the silent destroyer for APC without any noticeable culpability. I think it might be playing out already with the Melaye's saga. Tinubu has everything to lose should the daura exterminator return to power. His azz would be toast. He is only important to bubu in times of election and after a reelection, there would be no further need of him.

Dear small minded fellow,
Your style of blackmail is dead on arrival. Your insecurities are nauseating to say the least. What has her achievements got to do with her lying about her age? Why are people like you and her so insecure about your ages that you'd fabricate any number to prove you are young? It is people like her that do not give the younger generation the opportunity to excel simply because they capitalize on the age reduction and refuse to retire from public service, yet we all complain about not giving the youth a chance.

Yes she has achieved a lot for herself. She has done quite well and I like her person, her music and low profile status. But why lie blatantly about her age? She was close to 40-41 soon after her idols experience, how come she is getting younger? Meanwhile she is not the only Nigerian entertainer guilty of this.

Politics / Re: Buhari Fires Justices Ademola, Tokode by Fawklicant: 8:36am On Feb 12, 2018
zakim:
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday approved the compulsory retirement of Honourable Justice A. F. A Ademola of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court and the dismissal from office of Honourable Justice O.O Tokode of the Benin Division of the Federal High Court.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in a statement, said this followed recommendations from the National Judicial Council (NJC).

He said the disciplinary actions on the two Justices were in pursuance of section 292 (1) (b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

According to Shehu, "Justice O.O. Tokode is also to refund all salaries and allowances earned illegally from 2nd December, 2015 when he was sworn-in as a Judge of the Federal High Court to date."

He said the president urged judicial officers to be alive to their responsibilities and eschew corruption in the discharge of their duties.

I shouldn't have to bring this here, but I have exhausted other options.

mid last year I had to make an interstate journey and the only means available was by road. Shared a sit with this girl, around 28yrs old, tall and lighted skinned, didn't take long before we started talking. we got to our destination and thought we should exchange numbers, she was a lively person.

fast forward 2 weeks later, she called me that she needed to attend a wedding and that she's looking for money to buy "asoebi", she was like she wouldn't have called me if she had other options, i understand these things can be important to women, so I sent her N10k, she thanked me, called a couple of times to say hi.

Roughly a month after that, she called me again to say she went to visit someone in another state and what not and now she's stranded. I was going to say No, but my conscience won't let me, I tried to imagine if I were the one stranded like that, so I sent her money again. in all of this, I have never met her again after the first and last time we met.

December came and this girl called me to ask me what's for Christmas, laughed over it and told her nothing. she later sent me an sms asking me to please send her some money, at this point I felt I have had enough. I ignored her sms, she started calling me unending, sometimes I get as much as 15 missed calls from her. I blocked her number but then she would call with another number, blocked that too and she started calling me with private number. just this morning she sent me an sms saying why am I being WICKED. as in I don't understand, she's acting like I owe her or something.

Edited:

I am surprised at the number of people calling me names for helping someone. I wasn't looking to start anything with her, I have never given her such impression. I saw a grown woman who I felt was in need and I helped. I am no stranger to help, we have all helped people in different capacity, people we don't know, even here on NL, a faceless forum, people get help.

Guy leave story. We see grown men and women everyday in need of help on the streets everyday in form of beggars, how many have you given 10k?
