We understand the army rolled out some health programs as part of phython dance which was rejected by the people for lack of trust and one is left to wonder on what's grounds has the army got to interfere ,either for charity or service, with the health of the public when members of the force are dying from HIV and other preventable diseases.

The needless occupation of the army in the entire south East that has been relatively peaceful is thoughtless and a show of needless force. It was just a matter of time before civil unrest ensues .

President Buhari is on the natural end of his lifespan, and may hold little or no reverence for life, either his or ours.

The Nigerian Army has launched its 2017 training operations tagged Exercise Crocodile Smile II, in Lagos and Ogun states, areas covered by troops of 81 Division.

The force disclosed that the exercise commenced in Ogun and Lagos, on October 7, 2017 and will end on October 28, 2017.

The exercise could, however, progress to an operation when they start going after criminal elements in those states.

Spokesman of the division, Lieutenant Colonel Olaolu Daudu said in a statement, Monday, that the exercise will also avail troops the opportunity to sharpen combat skills in the conduct of land base as well as joint riverine operation.

The division spokesman reiterated that the exercise may transform into real operations to deal with emerging security challenges such as kidnappings, cultism, armed robbery, pipeline vandalism, and insurgency, among others.

These, he said, were within the division’s area of responsibility.

The army also warned that Exercise Crocodile Smile II is not targeted at any individual or group.

“Law-abiding citizens are advised to go about their normal businesses without fear. Dates and locations of the various humanitarian activities, such as sanitation exercises and free medical interventions will be announced in due course.

“The division also wishes to allay the fears of the public, as they will witness increased movements of troops and equipment during the period.

“They are please requested to cooperate and support us, to ensure the success of the exercise, which is aimed at making the Nigerian army responsive to its constitutional roles,” he said.

Are the Nigeria army using citizens to sharpen combat skills? Are the military hierarchy this daft or the incompetence and total cluelessness of the presidency is rubbing off on them?

How can army trained to fight real wars against foreign enemy troops sharpen combat skills with civilians and by chasing after criminals?

Today like almost every other day on my way to work by 8am I met a team of Nigeria police men who lay siege on this road doing "routine" stop and search by 8am when productive citizens are struggling to beat rush hour and get to their various places of business.

In every country of the world the working hours usually between 8 to 9am in the mornings are when productive citizens contribute their economic input to their societies and countries and generate figures to pay taxes to the Government. It is the busiest time of the day and unnecessary disruptions usually report negatively in personal and national daily economic activities.



While the Government is struggling to build flyovers, bridges, walkways and alternative routes to ease movements of goods and people, the corrupt Nigeria police financed by the government's oil proceeds are creating artificial traffic jams and long vehicular queues disrupting economic movement and activities, delaying people going to their places of business just to ask for vehicle papers as an excuse to collect bribe.

As can be seen from the attached screenshot, the police is going through vehicle papers and insurance routinely demanding nonexisting paperwork just to extort and collect bribe.

Already, a queue so early has been formed by the greed and corruption of these unprofessional thugs and criminals in uniforms.
