Pls mama how were u able to do exclusive bf for 6months for ur baby boy. For the past 2days my sons demand has increased tremendously. I want to add formula but DH is begging me seriously to continue Ebf. He always suck me dry and will still be putting his hand in his mouth. He is just 9weeks old.

If you want to do exclusive successfully, you have to get a good breast pump. This will help you pump and store to feed later. Exclusive does not mean you must always feed from ur b.r.easts directly. Pump enough, store in the freezer. when he's ready to eat, you can warm and give someone to serve him while you take a rest

I actually started all these with my daughter from 5 months. so u can give it a try. Introduce new foods gently, give 4 days interval to check for reaction and take note of what he likes. Eg my daughter struggles to take oats alone but if I add to pap, she finished it witout blinking.

To make you ogi nutritious, add a lot of milk + fruits and veg

You can have the following combos:

1. Ogi + banana + milk
2. Ogi + peanut butter + milk
3. Ogi + potato&chicken puree ( I cook sweet or irish potatoes + chicken breast + carrot and blend all together)
4. Ogi + pureed strawberry or apple or blueberry + milk
5. Ogi + pureed carrots + milk
6. Ogi + oats + milk
7. Ogi + Fish&carrot puree + milk (boil mackerel fish + carrot and blend together)

If you have dis milk dispenser container, you can measure them up there and they prepare it when baby is ready to eat and discard wateva remains.

When introducing baby to cereals, start with single grains and watch for reactions. Yes, you can use those in the pics. Make them individually with milk. Also, start with 2-3teaspoons and gradually increase wen he gets a hang of it.

Switiching to lactogen should nt be a problem; I switched from Enfamil to lactogen to for my daughter and she's got no issues watsoeva.

Please try introduce fruit purees to him as well.

Yes, quacker oats can be consumed by 6 months old, ensure you blend it

I use my regular blender at home. Wat I do is dis, I fill warm water inside and "blend" to remove every particle like pepper dat might be hiding before I blend baby's food.

Thanks you ma. I have done the pureed banana twice or so in his pap.he didnt eat it well but can eat it alone. he eats patotoes and fish very well too.

what i noticed is that,he prefers adult food more. he loves breast milk so dearly but can leave it at the sight of garri with any kind of soup.

You can blend at home using your dry mill.

To make it, mix with water and put on the fire. Allow to cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add banana or apple to sweeten with plenty milk.

You can also make dates syrup and use as sweetener for babies. Buy dates (dabino), wash, remove the seed and blend it smooth. U can add to their meals

We make our oat into swallow and he takes it with any soup on the menu. That's his best meal!
At 7 months I also introduced beans and plantain porridge.

Lol.. for my son, I was all over the place with all kinds of tinned/packet foods; Heinz, cow and gate, aptamil, cerelac etc

For my daughter, I decided to go organic when I saw links that gave different ideas on food preps and you know what? The diff is really clear btw my son and my daughter.

It's pretty easy I must tell you cos I'm one person dat sees all these as stress but somehow, I'm just enjoying it.

Buy all the veggies (carrots, potatoes, peas). Boil and blend then store in your freezer. Buy quarker oats, blend for her. If you can't make pap, August secrets sells very good pap.

It's also good to introduce veggies to children early. I noticed my daughter never had po.op issues unlike my son . So she's Team Organic Food + Team Natural hair...lol

I decided to make homemade meals for my daughter.

Examples of what she takes:

1. Sweet potatoes+chicken+peas
2. Millet/Guineacorn pap + apples + milk (I make the pap by myself)
3. Ground rice + carrot + milk
4. Oats +banana + milk
5. Maize pap + peanut butter or avocado + milk
5. Irish potatoes + carrots + fish

All these meals listed above, I blend them to puree, add formula before giving it to her. You can try to play around recipes too. Check mummysyum.com; you will get nice ideas

please I need your help. my sin has been stooling since Thursday. though in different variations. initially it was thick and then it became watery and slimy almost after every meal. right now I can't remember the last time I changed a nappy without poo in it. and its giving me cause for concern. its almost like marathon.

he takes cereal and pap which I give him with spoon and I only use the feeding bottle for giving him water which is properly sterilized. initially I was adding tom brown to his pap but stopped when the stooling started. I took him to the hospital yesterday and the did test for him and the result was OK. no infection. I was given ors in sachet to give to him.

I'm just tired and I feel he is losing weight. is there anything I can do. this is someone who only poops in a day. the takes Sma pro, the foreign one as his milk. he is teething because I can see a tooth coming out already. could that be the culprit. he completed his rotavirus immunisation.

Due to health issues i am not going to breastfeed my baby, i have done some research and found out that Enfamil, Similac are very good baby fomular but very expensive for me. Pls which baby fomular can you recommend that is not too pricey but close to breast milk. pls help a sister.

Do you feed a specific number of spoons or something? I have attached a picture of my baby's food plate....it's a Tommy tippee plate. I fill it 3/4 each time I feed him....is it ok or do I get a bigger plate. He is 7months 1week old.

There's really no hard and fast rule to it. Start with 2-3 spoons of the cereal and watch if he finishes it. To know when he's had enough, he will stop eating or try to lock his lips. Also give him snacks in between meals eg banana, apples, biscuits
