I got your email, and have replied you.how are your goats adapting to change in environment from the north to IMO state. I had a bad experience trying to set up a goat farm in the East with northern breeds, most of them could not survive after a couple of months , diarrhea was rampant. adapting to a new feed apart from the dry grass they were use to was a problem. grasses in the East had too most moisture the goats could handle, higher humidity was also a challenge, this was noticed in the way they breathed and a lot of respiratory diseases.

from experience cutting out completely is difficult. but here are practicable solutions. try and establish a laying percentage of your birds.(this involves you collecting the eggs your self or someone you trust )for a period of a week, record the pattern for example are you recording 75 or 80%production. if after a week of collect eggs you record high number, tell your staff to maintain the laying percentage, any drop in that will affect their pay and possible arrest.

from my experience, poor planning on part of the Farmer. a poor Market structure. (middle men make the money while the farmers suffer)sincerely farming in Nigeria is very challenging. if you can solve feed cost issues, infrastructure, and a well organized sale distribution channel, you are safe.

every investment has its risks. it's always advisable not to invest with Money you can not afford to lose.
